Midday Prayer on Isaiah 5:21

Dear Lord, You see through every illusion and know the motives beneath our words and works. We come before You aware of how easily pride hides behind success and how quickly approval can feel like faithfulness. Forgive us for choosing image over obedience and applause over intimacy with You. Strip away false confidence and root us in what is true and lasting. Give us hearts that value humility over recognition and wisdom that bows before You. When we are tempted to seek glory instead of Your presence, draw us back with mercy that corrects and restores. Reign in our hearts and reorder our loves, that our lives may honor You. Amen.
