Today’s prayer
Written prayerLord, when you were born you took on the likeness of sinful flesh and for thirty years lived in obscurity before you began your ministry. When the time came to start your father’s work you sanctified your flesh by submitting, in obedience, to water baptized. When you submitted to being born of water, God smiled from heaven and sent his holy spirt in the form of a dove to announced to the world his pleasure with you. I pray the holy spirit will empower me, and smile on me with pleasure, as I seek to be obedient to your plan for my life. Cleanse me of all sin and purify my life so I can be close to you. Amen.
