Today’s prayer
Written prayerFather, you sent Jesus as the embodiment of your word in flesh form. He walked among us and we saw the splendor of your nature. Jesus, full of grace and truth, displayed your glory in everyday circumstances. Your word shows me your gentle spirit, and your kindness toward the downtrodden and oppressed. I felt your compassion reaching out to heal those crippled by life. Your glory radiated through the limitations of Jesus’ humanity to express your power and wisdom. Jesus was in this world but not of it. He reflected our hope of glory as he shared his father’s love. Conform me to your image, Lord, that I might release your love through me. Amen.
