Global Prayer on Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Today’s prayer

Written prayer

Heavenly Father, help me to always fill my mind with thoughts that are pleasing to you. Help me see life and people with your eyes of love and look at the heart of a person and not the externals. Help me dwell on what is true, for you are the way, the truth, and the life. You are the one true living God and I want to always evaluate a situation through that truth. Help me focus on what is honest, just and pure. There is so much corruption in this world and it is filled with lies and perversions help me counter that with your vision of loveliness. Everyone deserves love and is precious in your sight. You have called me to be a royal priesthood so help me think and act in alignment with that noble character. Help me be humble and authentic not phoney and pretentious. Help me bring out the best in others and always look for the good and not the worst. You see what is beautiful and lovely in me, and that is your son Jesus. Teach me to look for the beauty in every situation and not the ugly. It’s too easy to point fingers and judge and condemn those who don’t agree with me. Forgive me for being quick to judge others and think the worst. I want to praise the good reports and encourage those who are growing in faith and virtue. In Jesus name, amen.
