Today’s prayer
Written prayerJesus, you willingly laid down your life for me so I could escape the punishment I deserved. You took my sicknesses, grief, and sorrow upon yourself so I could be healed. The world didn’t understand it was our sins that afflicted you, and nothing you did. You were innocent and did not deserve such suffering or death. You made yourself a man of sorrow on my behalf. Lord, teach me to hate the sin that wounded you. Keep me focused on you and your word. It is you and only you that I cling to in this life. You are my one true love. Amen.
