Today’s prayer
Written prayerThank you, Lord, for the satisfaction of accomplishing a good days work. I am grateful for having a job that gives me purpose and provision. Each day I have an opportunity to do an honest day's work and share your love with the people around me. When my day is over, I can sleep peacefully feeling satisfied with a job well done. I don't think the rich have that same satisfaction since their concerns and worries never cease. Wealth brings many anxieties and fears. Protecting what they have and maintaining their lifestyle creates angst that robs them of their peace. I cheerfully rest in you Lord and am satisfied. Amen.
