Today’s prayer
Written prayerLord, why is it so hard for me to rest? Why do I feel guilty when I am not productive or doing something? Is that my way of distracting myself from my inner thought life? Soul rest is a deep inner quiet knowing all is well. You are on the throne of my heart and direct my footsteps. You are with me every step of the way. There is nothing I need to worry about for you will make a way for me and rescue me when I stumble. You are my kind and gentle Father who loves me unconditionally. You are teaching me to rest in the full assurance of your goodness. Amen.
