Today’s prayer
Written prayerLord, you know how stressful life can be. Every day the news is full of disasters and killings, work demands more, and people are rioting in the streets. Your word promises peace. Jesus, you said, "I give you peace, not as the world gives, give I to you." What a glorious promise that is. You have never failed one word of your promise. While the world struggles in unrest, I rest in your promises of peace. I thank you for the grace that covers my life and keeps my soul in harmony with your word. You are my strong tower and my shield of protection. You are my great comforter. Amen.
