Midday Prayer on James 4:10

Dear Lord, we come before you aware of how quickly we rely on our own strength. Remind us that every gift, every ability, and every moment of grace comes from you alone. Teach us to lay down our pride and hold what you’ve given with open hands, using it for your glory and not our own. When we are tempted to seek personal gain, draw us back to you. Shape our hearts with genuine humility so that your strength can shine through our weaknesses. Help us find rest in you—the only source of lasting peace—and let our satisfaction be rooted in your love. We yield all we have to you. In your hands, our gifts become a blessing. May our lives honor you, for you alone are worthy. Amen.
