Written prayerDearest father of lights, love and mercy! My heart is full of praise as I rejoice in you at this special celebration season. You sent your precious son, Jesus, into this sin-infested world to shed light into the darkness of men's souls. What a wonderful gift you gave this world. You opened blind eyes to the truth of your love durning this Christmas season. You are love Lord, pure unconditional love. No human being has the capacity to love with the purity of your love. Your love is sacrificial, understanding, and it is your goodness that comforts our hearts. When I can’t be with my loved ones, or feel alone and isolated this Christmas surround me with your love. Remind me that I am never alone for you are always with me. The darkness cannot comprehend the true light of your love. During this holiday season the whole world is lit up with the remembrance of you. It’s a time of goodwill toward men and peace on earth. It’s about the birth of your son who was born to die for all my sins. It’s about a love so merciful it is difficult to imagine but fills my heart with hope. You, lord Jesus, are the reason for the season. Without your light to expose the deeds of darkness and show me the error of my ways I would never walk in truth, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
