Written prayerDear Lord, We come before You as fragile people, often struggling with the urge to meet hurt with hurt. Our hands reach for the spear, longing to claim fairness on our own terms. Yet You are the God who sees every wound and counts every tear. Teach us to trust Your justice more than our instincts. Help us release our desire for control and choose mercy over retaliation, faith over fear. We confess how deeply we crave vindication, but Your ways are higher, marked by compassion and truth. Shape our hearts to reflect Your goodness, even when pressure pushes us toward revenge. Give us courage to wait on You, to trust Your timing, and to rest in Your sovereignty. Today, we lay the spear at Your feet and place our hope in Your unfailing love. Amen.
