Midday Prayer on Psalm 34:18

Dear Lord, You are my refuge and strength, even when the path feels heavy and uncertain. In the wilderness of fear, betrayal, and injustice, I confess how quickly I try to take control instead of trusting Your steady hand. Yet You remain faithful. Teach me to wait with patience, leaning on Your strength rather than my own. Grant me courage to walk the higher road, especially when it asks more of me. Help me understand that Your delays are often Your preparations, shaping my heart in the quiet and refining my character in the stillness. Guard me from bitterness, and form me into who You’ve called me to be. And when deliverance comes, remind me to give You all the glory, for You alone are my hope, my salvation, and my shield. Amen.
