Midday Prayer on Psalm 145:8

Dear Lord, You are gracious and compassionate, overflowing with love beyond what we deserve. We come to You aware of how easily pride blinds us and how quickly anger rises in our hearts. Yet You see every flaw and still respond with mercy. Teach us, as You taught Abigail, to walk with courage, clarity, and wisdom when tensions run high. Help us to quiet the noise of our frustration so we can hear Your steady voice. Guide our steps by Your Spirit, that we might reflect Your kindness to a world desperate for grace. Rescue us from Nabal’s folly—the instinct to cling to our rights and demand what we believe we are owed. Shape us into people who are humble, patient, and generous in love. Let our lives point others to Your goodness, and may Your peace guard our hearts and minds in every season. Amen.
