- 5293672 The Fresh and New Has ComeWith Easter and Spring, what a great time to be reminded that marriages don't have to feel old and worn out. You can have a vibrant marriage because the fresh and new has come. It is super easy to be lazy in our marriages. We cling to old habits and pastimes, attempting to maintain the peace because it's too much work otherwise. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com The kids have us running all over the place, regardless of whether they are living with us or not. I have a good friend who schedules her time with her only daughter once a month to see her. I've wondered if she does the same, but on a more frequent basis, with her husband. We take a lot for granted. We think tomorrow will be here and we'll do it then. But tomorrow is not guaranteed. With Easter tomorrow, it brought to my attention how we need to love each other like God loved His Son and loves us! But we don't have time for that either. Or do we? I think we make time for what matters. They say if you were to look at your monthly bank statement, it would tell you exactly what you prioritize. For me, maybe food. I'm just joking. But seriously, how are you spending your time, money, energy, and emotions with your spouse? Are you creating a bond that is inseparable? Looking at Easter with Good Friday yesterday, God loved His Son through the end and through the beginning. That love endured throughout sunrises and sunsets. But what about your love for your spouse? We don't necessarily punish our spouses in the manner that Jesus took on our sins, but to a degree, we hold grudges and keep score as if they should be punished. At what point do you say, "I need to love the way God first loved me?" Because that changes everything!! The K.I.S.S. ~ Love changes everything! And it's not about love in the manner of what the world says, but how God shows us. Unconditional love needs to be the root of our marriage. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 - "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." How are you loving your spouse? Love changes everything! And it did the night that Jesus was crucified for you and me. Thankfully, Jesus rose on the third day in which we celebrate as Easter! Love changes everything. How can you take what God has proven to be true love and establish that in your marriage? 1. Practice Forgiveness Daily: Let go of past grievances and embrace a spirit of forgiveness towards your partner. Just as God forgave us through Christ, extend grace and mercy to your spouse, fostering a sense of healing and reconciliation in your relationship. Ephesians 4:32 - "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." 2. Cultivate Kindness and Patience: Channel the love described in Corinthians by choosing to show kindness and patience in your interactions with your spouse. Small acts of kindness and understanding can go a long way in strengthening the bond between you and your partner. 3. Prioritize Quality Time: Make intentional efforts to talk openly and honestly with your spouse, creating a space for shared experiences and heartfelt conversations. That comes with quality time. Dedicate quality time to nurture your connection and deepen your understanding of each other's needs and desires. You get the opportunity to show your love as Christ loved you first. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #RelationshipBuilders #CreateYourNow #LoveAndMarriage 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? - 5303671 From Confession to ConnectionParents don't like being mean, but it is our responsibility to train up our children where they are to go. Therefore, as a parent, how do you walk the fine line from confession to connection? Because one of the toughest things we must do is bridge that gap. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com We need to find the happy medium that allows our children to face the truth in their lives so they can grow and be transformed into who they are becoming. And that takes work! It's not something you just wake up to with all the tools in your toolbox and can renovate accordingly. It takes conversation after conversation after timeout after grounding after taking away the tablet or phone. This is not a quick fix "I got it" mom job!! This goes on and on and on. It never ends. You know with today being Good Friday, I can't help but think about Jesus and His conversation with God the Father. Jesus expressed the concept of doing what He desired versus what His Father in Heaven desired. In Matthew 26:39, Jesus prays, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will." This verse highlights the internal conflict Jesus faced, ultimately choosing to align His will with that of His Father, demonstrating obedience, sacrifice, and love. Jesus concludes in Matthew 26:42— He went away a second time and prayed, "My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done." Jesus came back to His disciples and found them sleeping again. He left for the third time and after returning, told His disciples that "the hour has come, and the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners." (Matthew 26:45) Yet Jesus knew the outcome. God the Father prepared Him for such a time as this. And whether or not we want to believe it, this was real to Jesus. He felt the pain and the agony of what was to come. Our children need to understand that there are consequences to what they do, good or bad, and they need to be ready to accept them accordingly. But that training comes from us as their parents. We have to model the way God the Father modeled to God the Son (the Son of Man). Otherwise, our children will miss the boat. So we must sacrifice comfort for the betterment of our children. The K.I.S.S. ~ Sacrifice comfort! Sacrificing comfort is more for us than for them. We have to do the hard stuff so they can live and impact with greater simplicity. Teaching them right from wrong every day keeps our children grounded. To bridge the gap from confession to connection with their children, parents can incorporate the following practices: 1. Practice Forgiveness: Just as Jesus forgave those who wronged Him, parents can embody forgiveness when their children make mistakes. By showing forgiveness, parents not only relieve their children of guilt but also pave the way for a deeper connection based on understanding and grace. 2. Offer Guidance with Love: Jesus's teachings were filled with love and compassion, even when delivering guidance or discipline. Parents can emulate this approach by providing constructive feedback and setting boundaries out of love, rather than out of anger or frustration. By offering guidance with empathy and understanding, parents can strengthen the bond with their children. 3. Foster Open Communication: Like the relationship between Jesus and His Father, parents and children can nurture their connection through open communication. Encouraging honest dialogues, active listening, and mutual respect creates a safe space for children to seek guidance, share their struggles, and grow through their mistakes. The key is to build a foundation of trust and communication that enables parents to support their children's journey from confession to connection. What you are creating is the sacred space! Navigating the complexities of parenting requires a delicate harmony of discipline, forgiveness, and love. Drawing inspiration from the sacrificial love exemplified on Good Friday and the teachings of Jesus, parents can guide their children through their mistakes with empathy, understanding, and grace. By embracing forgiveness, offering loving guidance, and fostering open communication, parents can move from moments of confession to deeper connections with their children, embodying the enduring bond of love and redemption. However, it is precisely in these moments of vulnerability that we need to reach out and connect with the divine presence that surrounds us. Oh God, do you hear me? - 5323669 Embracing Divine Fitness in a World of TemptationsNo matter how hard you try, life poses challenges financially, relationally, and physically. If only one could figure out how embracing divine fitness in a world of temptations could elevate their days, then life would definitely be lived differently. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, it is written, "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies." Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com This scripture serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of treating our bodies as sacred vessels entrusted to us by God. Now, let me also clarify that in the context here, the Apostle Paul is speaking about sexual immorality. However, just looking at the part where it questions, "Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you...", would you not want to treat your body, inside and out, with respect, love, and care? I remember one thing my husband said to me when I was really in a battle with my body, and it still is heart-stopping to this day. "God wants you pure!" ~ Kristianne's Husband We can never be perfect here on Earth, but we can choose to be pure in a manner that serves our heavenly Father well while here on Earth. You get one mind, one body, and one spirit. How are you choosing to live for Christ every day with your body? If we treat our bodies with disrespect, how does that translate to how we are treating God if our bodies are the temple? In a world filled with temptations and distractions, how can we shift our perspective toward divine fitness and prioritize what truly matters? The shift comes when we nurture our bodies. The K.I.S.S. ~ Nurture your body! The Shift: Our approach to fitness and well-being transforms when we view our bodies as temples of God. Instead of solely focusing on physical aesthetics or fleeting desires, we shift our mindset to honor our bodies as a gift from God, deserving of respect, care, and nourishment. Divine fitness is not just about physical exercise; it encompasses holistic wellness—nurturing our bodies, minds, and spirits in alignment with our spiritual beliefs. Three Ways to Embrace Divine Fitness and Escape Temptations: 1. Cultivate Mindful Movement: Engage in physical activities that not only strengthen your body but also elevate your spirit. Whether it's strength training, going for a nature walk, or dancing to uplifting music, choose activities that connect you with your inner being, bringing you closer to God. 2. Nourish with Intention: Fuel your body with wholesome, nourishing foods that support your overall well-being. Choose foods that energize you, nourish you, and honor your body's needs. Avoid succumbing to unhealthy temptations by mindfully selecting foods that align with your values and goals. 3. Connect with Community: Surround yourself with like-minded individuals who share your commitment to divine fitness. Seek support and encouragement from a community that uplifts and inspires you on your wellness journey. By fostering meaningful connections with others on a similar path, you can navigate temptations together and stay focused on what truly matters. Embracing divine fitness is not just about physical exertion—it's a holistic lifestyle that honors our bodies as temples of God. When you shift your perspective, you can escape temptations and realign with what truly matters—honoring your mind, body, and spirit as sacred gifts from God. As you walk this Holy Week, really give yourself the space to know what God desires for you so you can honor God with your mind, body, and spirit. This is the day that the Lord has made; love yourself and create your now! "Be present. Be incredible. - 5343667 Do You Believe What You See in the Mirror?Mirrors have a way of magnifying the good, bad, and ugly. No matter what you do, they capture the present moment. So, as you take a peek, do you believe what you see in the mirror? Now, be kind to yourself as you answer that question, and also be very honest. No need to beat around the bush if you want something different. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Change is a constant in life. And no matter where you turn, change will greet you. However, it's not worrying about the change, but how you will face it with eloquence and patience. See, that's where a lot of us mess up. We get impatient because we want what we want NOW! There's no time to wait. Can't you just order what you want and it appears? It's worked for Amazon. In life, it's not that easy. The reality is you have to be willing to stick with it longer than what it took to get where you are now. Look at new businesses. You're not an overnight success racking in millions of dollars. It takes blood, sweat, and tears to get your business noticed and those willing to buy whatever you are selling. You have to build your customer base. The same goes for you. You have to build a solid foundation, one that you want. And if that foundation is unacceptable, you gotta make some changes with a sledgehammer or concrete jackhammer to make room for the changes. Let's take it back to the mirror. If you are using the mirror as a tool to see what is happening, then you have to learn how to magnify what you want to see. The K.I.S.S. ~ Magnify what you want to see! I don't know about you, but there are things I want to do better and some I would like to change. What about you? What do you want to magnify so that who you are is captured within your reflection? If you're looking to make changes and become the person you aspire to be, here are three things you can start doing today: 1. Seek Discomfort: Growth often lies outside of your comfort zone. Challenge yourself by trying new activities, learning a skill you've always wanted to master, or engaging in conversations that push your boundaries. Embracing discomfort can lead to personal breakthroughs and increased resilience. 2. Embrace Failure: Instead of fearing failure, view it as a stepping stone to success. Failure provides valuable lessons, feedback, and opportunities for growth. By reframing how you perceive failure, you can adopt a more resilient and growth-oriented mindset. 3. Engage in Lifelong Learning: Never stop learning and exploring new ideas. Whether it's reading books, taking online courses, attending workshops, or engaging in stimulating conversations, continuous learning can broaden your perspectives, enhance your skills, and keep your mind sharp. Here's a profound thought: Should we ever get comfortable with who we see in the mirror? While self-acceptance and self-love are important, it's equally crucial to strive for personal growth and development. Embracing change and continuous improvement can lead to a more fulfilling and purposeful life. So, while it's essential to appreciate and honor who you are in the present moment, never stop aiming to become the best version of yourself. Remember, the mirror reflects more than just your appearance. It reflects your mindset, your actions, and your potential for growth. Believe in the power of change, and watch as the reflection transforms into the person you've always wanted to see. "Be present. Be incredible. - 5353666 Renewed Day By Day"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day." ~ 2 Corinthians 4:16 So much of Holy Week is in preparation for the jubilation that's to come after the shock and terror of Jesus' death on the cross. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com But for whatever reason, it's easy to overlook the value of Palm Sunday. Imagine if you went to work or on your drive back home through your neighborhood, where everyone came out and celebrated you. The greeting so overwhelming and overwelcoming. That would be a monumental moment of hope and excitement. Think how you would feel? Recognized as someone who matters and people notice. Palm Sunday became a day to celebrate the promises Jesus brought and the hope of salvation to come. Even though life is not easy, and struggles and troubles can weigh us down, we are renewed day by day. The K.I.S.S. ~ Renewed Day By Day! **Significance of Palms:** 1. **Victory and Triumph:** The waving of palm branches during Palm Sunday symbolizes victory, triumph, and honor. In biblical times, palm branches were often used as symbols of triumph and celebration, especially to welcome royalty or conquerors. 2. **Kingly Entry:** By spreading palm branches on the road as Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowds were acknowledging him as a king, fulfilling the prophecy of Zechariah 9:9 where the Messiah is described as entering Jerusalem on a donkey. 3. **Peace and Restoration:** Palms are also associated with peace and restoration in the Bible. In Revelation 7:9, a great multitude is described as holding palm branches, symbolizing their victory and peace in Christ. 4. **Spiritual Renewal:** Palms are emblematic of renewal and rejuvenation. As believers wave palm branches on Palm Sunday, it signifies their acknowledgment of Jesus as the source of spiritual renewal and the giver of new life. 5. **Acknowledgment of Christ's Authority:** The act of laying down palm branches before Jesus as he entered Jerusalem was a public declaration of acknowledgment and submission to his authority as the promised Messiah and King. 6. **Foreshadowing of Resurrection:** The use of palm branches during Palm Sunday also foreshadows the triumph of Jesus' resurrection, symbolizing eternal life, victory over death, and the hope of salvation for all who believe in him. As we reflect on the significance of Palm Sunday and look towards the hope that goes beyond the cross, may we be encouraged to persevere in faith, knowing that we are being transformed and renewed by the grace of God, day by day. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him, and let us find hope in the promise of resurrection and eternal life in Him. Before criticizing your spouse, take a moment to reflect on your own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Ask yourself why certain things trigger you and how you can address those triggers within yourself. By understanding your own emotional reactions and patterns, you can approach conflicts with your partner from a place of self-awareness and empathy. 2. Understand Where "IT" Comes From: Once you know your patterns and triggers, the things you see in the mirror— you can begin to understand where they're coming from. It's vital to recognize and acknowledge what is happening so you can make decisions as to how to rectify the situation. How do you turn things around quickly? And then, in real-time, you can make shifts where you don't even experience the patterns or triggers any longer. 3. What is Your Contribution? Rather than trying to change your spouse, focus on where your contribution is in the marriage. Wherever you think you're pointing your fingers, look at yourself first. Make the changes, discuss them with your spouse, and see what happens. Then, you make further tweaks along the way, eventually creating new habits. Now, it's no longer about what your spouse is doing all wrong, but what you are doing better for your marriage. Connect your head and heart in this partnership called marriage. That's where you'll see hope and love root deeper, creating a stronger foundation for a beautiful marriage. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #RelationshipBuilders #CreateYourNow #LoveAndMarriage 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? - 5373664 From Stress to StrengthIn today's fast-paced and demanding world, children face stress, which impacts their overall well-being. As parents, it's crucial to understand the signs of stress and provide our children with ways to navigate these challenges, from stress to strength. Research suggests that prolonged exposure to stress in childhood can have detrimental effects on a child's development, affecting their psychological, relational, physical, and emotional well-being. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com One of the challenging things in understanding stress and kids is that there are many causes. Sometimes we look more on the outside influences, but it can be internal within the family structure, too. That's what makes it tough. Who wants to say that you're causing your kiddos stress? No mama what's to admit to that, but there is truth to it. And it's vital to look at what is happening inside and outside the home in order to better help your child. And ultimately, that's where our focus should be. Don't take stress personally. Look at it from a factual perspective and come up with a plan to neutralize it. The K.I.S.S. ~ Neutralize the stress! I think of Mrs. Incredible from the movie The Incredibles with a zapper or a sting-ray to get rid of the stress. Let's explore three effective ways parents can help their children handle stress and also discuss strategies for parents to manage their own stress effectively. 1. Build Emotional Resilience One of the most important ways parents can help their children handle stress is by building their emotional resilience. Encourage open communication with your child, create a safe space for them to express their feelings, and validate their emotions. Teach them coping mechanisms such as deep breathing exercises, mindfulness techniques, or engaging in activities they enjoy. By fostering emotional resilience, children can learn to navigate stressors effectively and develop healthy coping strategies for the future. 2. Establish Healthy Routines Consistency and structure play a significant role in reducing stress for children. Establishing healthy routines such as regular sleep schedules, balanced nutrition, and dedicated time for homework, play, and relaxation can help children feel more secure and in control. Encourage physical activity and outdoor play to promote overall well-being and stress relief. By providing a stable environment, parents can support their children in managing stress more effectively. 3. Encourage Problem-Solving Skills Teaching children problem-solving skills from a young age can empower them to face challenges with confidence. Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and resilience when dealing with obstacles or stressful situations. Help your child break down problems into smaller, manageable tasks and guide them in finding solutions independently. By nurturing problem-solving skills, parents can equip their children with tools to navigate stress and adversity throughout their lives. Managing Parental Stress: Parenting can be overwhelming, and it's crucial for parents to take care of their own well-being to effectively support their children. Here are some strategies for parents to manage their stress: - Practice self-care: Prioritize self-care activities such as exercise, meditation, hobbies, or spending quality time with loved ones to recharge and reduce stress. - Seek support: Reach out to friends, family members, or mental health professionals for support and guidance when dealing with parental stress. - Set boundaries: Establish boundaries to manage workload, household responsibilities, and commitments effectively, allowing time for relaxation and self-care. Whether you want to admit it or not, parents play a vital role in helping their children handle stress in today's demanding world. You will make it through. Your hair might lose a little color. You might lose a little sleep. But you will make it through. You can take it from stress to strength. "Be present. Be incredible. - 5393662 Outsmart Your Belly FatLosing weight, especially in the stubborn belly fat area, can be a daunting task as we age. Not only does excess belly fat impact our self-esteem, but it also poses serious health risks. It's time to outsmart your belly fat. What would it mean to you to have your belly fat melt away, or at least decrease? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Research has shown that abdominal fat is more metabolically active and releases more harmful substances into the body compared to fat deposited in other areas, increasing the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and other chronic conditions. Despite the numerous diets, exercises, and weight loss programs available, shedding belly fat remains a significant challenge for many. Crash diets and excessive abdominal exercises often yield little to no sustainable results. What have you tried in the past that has not worked well? If you want to make an impact on your health, it's time to outsmart your belly fat and take control of your health. The K.I.S.S. ~ Take back your health! Here are three things you can do to begin your journey to better health. 1. Revamp Your Diet: Focus on consuming a well-balanced diet rich in whole foods such as fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Avoid sugary drinks, processed foods, and trans fats, as they contribute to belly fat accumulation. Incorporating healthy fats like avocados, nuts, and olive oil can actually help reduce belly fat. 2. Prioritize Strength Training: While cardio is great for overall health, incorporating strength training into your fitness routine can help build muscle mass and increase your metabolism. Targeting the abdominal muscles with exercises like planks, crunches, and Russian twists can tone and tighten the midsection. 3. Prioritize Sleep and Stress Management: Lack of sleep and chronic stress can disrupt hormonal balance and promote weight gain, especially in the abdominal region. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night and practice relaxation techniques such as meditation or yoga to reduce stress levels. By adopting these strategies and staying consistent, you can outsmart your belly fat and take your health back. Remember, slow and steady wins the race to a better you! Progress is key to long-term success in your weight loss journey. So, don't rush what you can change one step at a time. - 5413660 Are You Drowning on Dry Land?In today's fast-paced, high-tech world, it's easy to fall into the trap of a scarcity mindset, where negativity and self-doubt dominate our thoughts. We often find ourselves stuck in a cycle of expecting the worst and settling for less. Are you drowning on dry land? So much of our life is lived from a scarcity mindset. We think all the worse, but barely hope for the best. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Therefore, life is pretty negative and defeating every day. We become very petty about things that really don't matter. Quite frankly, we don't like who we see in the mirror, but have no reason why. We don't look for silver linings, only the ripped ones. We see what we are comfortable with because we know what to expect. But where does that get us? Drowning on dry land. How can we be the cream that rises to the top? How can we live out our purpose if all we see is what we think we are supposed to believe? Life is complicated. Life is beautiful. Yet, it is a life where you get to make some tough decisions. Stay where you are or move to higher ground. Are you drowning on dry land? What do your days look and feel like? Are you coping with what you know because that's where you're comfortable? Change turns everything upside down. And if you want something different, you must be willing to get on another roller coaster. That's life! Certainly, you can stay where you are. But let me ask you this: How has that been working for you lately? Is this the life you are meant to live? You can ask this in all circumstances and situations, from relationships to careers to school. All of life requires you to see it from either a scarcity mindset or an abundance mindset. You get to choose. You get to show up the way you fill up your cup, meaning your heart. Where your head and heart connect is where you live. Are you living the way God desires for you? Or are you settling for less? It's time to rise above and embrace a mindset of abundance and possibility. The K.I.S.S. ~ Embrace a mindset of abundance and possibility! Here are three powerful ways to break free from the thoughts that hold you back and open your mind to endless possibilities: 1. Practice Gratitude: Start each day by focusing on what you are grateful for. By acknowledging the positives in your life, no matter how small, you shift your mindset from scarcity to abundance. Gratitude helps you see the silver linings and empowers you to approach challenges with a positive outlook. 2. Challenge Your Beliefs: Take a closer look at the beliefs that are limiting you. Are they based on fear or past experiences? Challenge these beliefs by asking yourself if they are serving your growth and happiness. Replace negative beliefs with empowering thoughts that align with your goals and aspirations. 3. Embrace Change and Growth: Life is a journey of constant evolution. Instead of staying in your comfort zone, be willing to embrace change and push yourself to grow. Step out of familiar patterns and explore new opportunities that can lead you to higher ground. Embracing change opens up a world of possibilities and helps you break free from the confines of a scarcity mindset. Remember, life is too short to stay stuck in a cycle of negativity and limitation. By practicing gratitude, challenging your beliefs, and embracing change, you can leave behind the thoughts that trap and restrict you, and open your mind to a world of endless possibilities. Nothing is impossible! Break free from the cycle of drowning on dry land and start living a life filled with purpose and passion all because of your presence. "Be present. Be incredible. - 5433658 In the Game of LoveWhere two hearts beat as one, why does the scoreboard read differently? In the game of love, marriage is not a competition but a connection. In the fast-paced game of relationships, it's easy to get caught up in the scorekeeping mentality – who did what, who's right or wrong. But what truly matters is the presence you bring to the table every day. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Because life does get in the way. And when it does, the game of love can be over before it really started. The arguments, the disagreements. The late nights for one who's the night owl, and the other who turns in early. Opposites do attract, but they shouldn't show up on a scoreboard. So what does your marriage look like? Does one of you keep score more than the other? Do you both do it equally? Shifting the blame doesn't change the game. You have to decide if the scoreboard is where you should focus. And if you want something different and truly a gamechanger, you've gotta embrace connection over competition. The K.I.S.S. ~ Embrace connection over competition! Here are three vital strategies to shift focus away from the scoreboard and toward the heart of the matter: 1. Practice Gratitude: Instead of tallying up shortcomings or mistakes, make a conscious effort to appreciate and acknowledge the efforts and intentions of your spouse. Expressing gratitude fosters a positive and supportive environment, nurturing connection and understanding. 2. Cultivate Empathy: Put yourself in your spouse's shoes and seek to understand their perspective and emotions. By empathizing with their feelings and experiences, you can build a deeper level of emotional intimacy and strengthen your bond. 3. Prioritize Communication: Instead of keeping a mental scoreboard of grievances, prioritize open and honest communication with your spouse. Create a safe space for sharing thoughts, feelings, and concerns, fostering a sense of mutual respect and understanding. As the NCAA March Madness Tournament unfolds, remember that true champions are not determined by scores alone. It's the unwavering support, unity, and belief in each other that elevate a team to greatness. In your marriage, strive to always be the team at the top – united, resilient, and focused on the heart of the matter. Let your love be the victory that transcends all scores, leading you to a place of enduring connection and joy. At the Top of the Heart by Kristianne Wargo In the grand arena of hearts, where emotions swirl, Beyond the confines of wins and losses, unfurl. Let not the scores dictate our love's sweet dance, But the depth of our connection, our enduring romance. In the symphony of souls, let empathy play, Understanding and compassion guiding our way. For in acknowledging each other's highs and lows, We foster a love that eternally grows. Communication, the key to unlocking hearts' doors, In its open embrace, understanding soars. Speak truths, share fears, let vulnerabilities show, In this sacred space, our love will glow. As the March Madness tournament captivates the nation, Let us be inspired by its jubilation. For in the game of love, we are each other's team, United in love, following a shared dream. So let the scoreboard fade, the numbers blur, In the realm of love, it's our connection that's pure. - 5443657 Another One Bites the DustWhat happens when your child makes a bad decision, and you are left picking up the pieces? Just because your child makes a bad choice does not mean you're a terrible parent— another one bites the dust. As parents, we all want the best for our children. However, despite our best efforts, they may sometimes make decisions that leave us feeling helpless and worried. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com When faced with a child who has made a bad decision, it's important to remember that while we have influence, we can't control their every move. I know we like to think that we do. But in reality, we don't. No matter how we look at it. All we can do is take what's in front of us and deal with the situation accordingly to the severity or lack there of. What have you experienced with your children recently? Did you handle it with ease and little frustration? If only it were that simple. But it can be if you operate from the facts, not the feelings. The K.I.S.S. ~ Operate from facts, not feelings! Here are three things you can do to maintain your sanity and personal peace while continuing to influence your child in a positive manner: 1. Nip it in the bud. While it's important to be understanding and supportive, it's also crucial to establish boundaries and consequences for your child's actions. By setting clear expectations and enforcing reasonable consequences that are age-appropriate, you can help your child understand the impact of their decisions and learn from their mistakes. 2. Facilitate opportunities for consistency. Consistency is key in parenting. Be consistent in your expectations, rules, and consequences to provide your child with a sense of stability and structure. 3. Encourage positive reinforcement. Focus on highlighting and praising your child's positive behaviors and decisions. By recognizing and rewarding their good choices, you can help build their self-esteem and reinforce positive behavior. No matter how you look at it, parenting takes work. It's exhausting one moment and exhilarating another moment. So, you get to choose how you approach raising your kids. But here's the thing: I believe in your abilities. Don't give up. Ya got this! - 5463655 Break Bad Habits for a Healthier TomorrowBreaking bad habits is essential for achieving optimal health and well-being. While many individuals have good intentions, you still must break bad habits today for a healthier tomorrow. As you know, overcoming entrenched habits can be challenging. Research indicates that breaking bad habits is crucial for long-term health benefits, both physically and mentally. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Why don't we break bad habits? Not breaking bad habits can have detrimental effects on various aspects of one's life. Here are some reasons why one might hesitate to break bad habits: 1. Comfort Zone: Bad habits often provide comfort and familiarity, making it challenging to step out of the routine and embrace change. 2. Fear of Failure: Breaking bad habits can be daunting, and the fear of relapsing or not succeeding may discourage individuals from even trying. 3. Instant Gratification: Bad habits often offer immediate gratification or relief, outweighing the long-term consequences they may have on health and well-being. 4. Lack of Awareness: Some individuals may not fully understand or acknowledge the negative impact of their bad habits, leading to complacency. 5. Lack of Support: Breaking bad habits may require support from friends, family, or professionals. Without a support system, individuals may find it difficult to make sustainable changes. 6. Emotional Attachments: Some bad habits are deeply rooted in emotions or psychological triggers, making them harder to overcome without addressing underlying issues. Why Break Bad Habits: Studies have shown that bad habits, such as smoking, excessive sugar consumption, or a sedentary lifestyle, can have detrimental effects on overall health. For example, smoking is linked to various health issues, including lung cancer and heart disease, while excessive sugar intake can lead to obesity and diabetes. Breaking these habits can significantly reduce the risk of developing chronic diseases and improve quality of life. The K.I.S.S. ~ Break the old and create the new! Three Strategies to Break Bad Habits and Replace Them with Good Ones: 1. Identify Triggers and Create a Plan: - Recognize the triggers that lead to engaging in the bad habit. For instance, if stress triggers the habit of unhealthy snacking, find alternative stress-relief activities like meditation or going for a walk. - Develop a detailed plan to address triggers. If late-night snacking is a problem, plan and prepare healthy snacks like cut-up veggies or fruit to curb cravings. 2. Start Small and Stay Consistent: - Break the habit into smaller manageable steps. For example, if the goal is to reduce soda intake, start by replacing one soda with a glass of water per day. - Consistency is key to forming new habits. Set specific, achievable goals and track progress. Celebrate small victories along the way to stay motivated. 3. Find Healthy Replacements: - Replace the bad habit with a healthier alternative. If mindless scrolling on social media is a habit, swap that time with reading a book or going for a workout. - Make healthy choices readily available. Stock up on nutritious foods, sign up for fitness classes, or join a support group to stay on track. Breaking bad habits requires commitment, determination, and resilience. By understanding the impact of unhealthy habits on overall health and implementing strategies to break them, you can have a better tomorrow. Remember, it's never too late to make positive changes today for a healthier tomorrow. "Be present. Be incredible. - 5473654 Discipline is the DifferenceHave you ever felt that initial burst of motivation, only for it to fizzle out over time? You start off with grand plans and high ambitions, ready to conquer the world. But then life throws curveballs, and suddenly, your goals seem out of reach until— discipline is the difference! It's a common scenario - we start with enthusiasm, but as days pass, our motivation wanes. Soon, what once seemed like a burning desire is reduced to a mere afterthought. It's not a conscious decision to quit; it's a gradual drift into inaction. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com The danger of drifting is real. Days turn into weeks, weeks into months, and before you know it, years have slipped through your fingers. The culprit? Overreliance on motivation. Motivation is a fair-weather friend; it shows up when things are going well but vanishes when challenges arise. That's why those who consistently succeed don't rely on motivation alone; they rely on discipline and systems that keep them on track, regardless of how they feel. Winners understand that motivation is fleeting, but discipline is enduring. By establishing solid structures like habits, routines, and accountability measures, they create a framework that propels them forward, even on the toughest days. The K.I.S.S. ~ Discipline is the difference! So, this week, I challenge you to ponder: What system or discipline can you implement today to make progress a habit? It's not about pushing harder than others; it's about setting yourself up for success so that falling behind becomes impossible. You have the power to create an environment where progress isn't a struggle but a natural outcome of your efforts. By prioritizing discipline over fleeting motivation, you pave the way for sustained success. Don't wait for motivation to strike. Instead, harness the transformative power of discipline and systems to propel you towards your goals. Today is the day to lay the foundation for your success. Embrace discipline, embrace progress, and watch as you soar to new heights. Remember, discipline is the difference between wishing for success and achieving it. Let today mark the beginning of your disciplined journey towards greatness. "One step at a time leads to miles of greatness!" ~ Kristianne Wargo "Be present. Be incredible. - 5483653 What's Driving Your Excuses?Life is not about what you are doing right, but more about what's driving your excuses. If you focused more on your purpose, the passion would fuel your everyday presence, and then you would not be contemplating whether you're good enough. But how many of your days are lived in that manner? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Are you choosing to wake up with hope in your step to guide your actions with discipline? Or have you been hiding out with your excuses because you know them all too well? And if you're comfortable, there's no reason to change. But let's get real on this beautiful day! You are created for more, destined to create your now. So, what's driving your excuses? What makes you feel stuck and keeps you settled in that chair of comfort? Causes for Feeling Stuck: 1. Fear of Failure: The fear of not succeeding or living up to expectations can be a powerful driver of excuses. This fear can paralyze us and prevent us from taking risks or stepping outside our comfort zones. 2. Lack of Clarity: Uncertainty about our purpose or direction in life can lead to indecision and inaction. Without a clear vision of where we want to go, it's easy to get caught up in excuses and distractions. 3. Negative Self-Talk: Negative beliefs about our capabilities or worthiness can undermine our confidence and fuel self-doubt. This negative self-talk can create a barrier to pursuing our purpose with conviction. The K.I.S.S. ~ Break the chains of excuses! You can break the chains of excuses when you decide to do it. Otherwise, you will keep doing what has not worked for you in the past. So what do you want? Ways to Break Free: 1. Challenge Your Limiting Beliefs: Identify and challenge the negative beliefs that are holding you back. Replace them with positive affirmations and reminders of your strengths and past achievements. 2. Set Small, Achievable Goals: Break down your larger purpose into smaller, manageable goals. By taking small steps towards your vision, you can build momentum and confidence, overcoming the inertia of excuses. 3. Cultivate and Celebrate with a Supportive Environment: Surround yourself with people who believe in your potential and encourage you to pursue your purpose. Seek out mentors, coaches, or like-minded individuals who can provide guidance and accountability. One way to look at what to do next is to ask yourself: What do I want to cuddle up with? What do I value? Where do I want to be tomorrow? Don't cloud your expectations with dreams that are too big to come true tomorrow. Take the next step and create your now. - 5503651 Love Did It AgainOver time, when marriage includes that consistency of loving unconditionally, extending grace, and learning to do life together, it opens both hearts to grow closer together as time passes. What you want now takes time. Love did it again. And it does it again over and over because you commit every day. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com If you haven't noticed, the honeymoon phase fades away after being married for a few years and beyond, leaving little room for the bubbling-over romance. Real life creeps in, and life takes over your schedule and sometimes your heart. But if we all were to buy into this thought, no one would stay married. Everyone would find a way or reason to divorce. Yet, just like fine wine, marriage gets better with time. So what if you could have that fine marriage you really want, are you willing to put in the work and the consistency? I guess that you most certainly are! What would that take for you to commit? To actually say every day that this is the marriage you want and the way you will go? It's all in the decision! The K.I.S.S. ~ Decide! Most of what we get doesn't come from a dream but an action. You have to decide and take AIM! Here are three key strategies for couples to stay dedicated to each other and nurture their bond, knowing that love has the power to transform and grow: 1. Practice Active Listening: Communication is the cornerstone of a strong and healthy marriage. Take the time to truly listen to your partner without interrupting or forming your response in your mind. Show empathy, understanding, and validation towards their thoughts and feelings. By actively listening, you demonstrate respect and care for your spouse, fostering a deeper connection and trust in the relationship. 2. Prioritize Quality Time Together: In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it's easy for couples to become caught up in their individual responsibilities and neglect quality time together. Make a conscious effort to carve out moments for just the two of you to bond and connect. Whether it's a weekly date night, a weekend getaway, or simply enjoying a quiet evening at home, investing in shared experiences strengthens your emotional intimacy and reinforces your commitment to each other. 3. Celebrate Each Other and Your Growth: As individuals, we are constantly evolving and learning. In a marriage, it's important to support and celebrate each other's personal growth and achievements. Acknowledge and appreciate the efforts your partner makes towards self-improvement and encourage them to pursue their passions and goals. By cheering each other on and being each other's greatest cheerleader, you create a supportive and loving environment that nurtures the growth of your relationship. Put on your big girl panties! Every day, show up filled up for your spouse. YES!!! Life is going to be crazy and chaotic. But if you do it together, it's much better than doing it alone and being hateful to each other. Dish up a cup of love and bask in life together forever. "Be present. Be incredible. - 5513650 Staying Strong During Tough TimesBeing a parent is a challenging yet rewarding role, especially when your child is going through some big moments. Staying strong during tough times might be one of the most complicated and pivotal moments for you as a parent. It's natural to feel emotionally drained and overwhelmed while striving to provide the support and strength your child needs. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com You give to them as much as ensuring everyone else in the family is cared for. It's a tightrope act no one wants to participate in, but one that every parent gets a taste of at some point in their life. Parenting is not fair. However, you can help yourself and your child maneuver their way through the tough times and stay balanced on the tightrope of life. The K.I.S.S. ~ Balance the tightrope! Now, there are some basics that most parents use to balance the tightrope: prioritize self-care, practice open communication, and seek professional help. Indeed, there is SO much more. Here are a few other things to think about. 1. Practice Patience and Understanding: Emotions may run high during challenging periods, and tensions may escalate. Parents need to practice patience and understanding, both with their children and themselves. Recognize that everyone copes differently and that it's okay to experience a range of emotions. You can create a nurturing environment that fosters healing and growth by showing empathy and understanding. Extending a hand with your heart will reach a lot deeper. 2. Encourage Positive Coping Mechanisms: Help your child develop healthy coping mechanisms to navigate complex emotions and situations. Encourage activities that promote relaxation, such as meditation, journaling, art therapy, or exercise. By empowering your children to express themselves in positive ways, you can help them build resilience and emotional strength to face challenges head-on. 3. Establish Routine and Stability: During tumultuous times, establishing a sense of routine and stability can provide comfort and security for your child. Create a predictable schedule that includes time for relaxation, connection, and self-care. Consistency in daily routines can help your child feel grounded and supported, even amidst uncertainty. Also, fostering a stable home environment can offer your child a sense of security and safety during turbulent times. Mom (and Dad)— You can create a supportive and nurturing environment to help your child navigate tough times with resilience and strength. And when you put it all together, that's where the magic happens, empowering you and your child to thrive in the face of adversity. "Be present. Be incredible. - 5523649 Break the MoldIn the busyness of our day, where time is a rare commodity and setbacks seem to be around every corner, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and discouraged. Yet, deep within your heart, you know you are meant to break the mold. You are made for more! You have a purpose, a calling that God has placed within you, waiting to be unleashed; it's bubbling up and bubbling over. Despite the challenges and setbacks, it's time to break the mold and pursue your dreams with a determination that inspires your soul. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com But I get it. Setbacks are real. However, setbacks are not roadblocks; they are merely detours on the path to your destiny. Remember, I've gotten ill a few times this year, but that hasn't deterred me from what I am doing here at Create Your Now. Yes, it has slowed some projects, but I still keep going. Instead of being discouraged by setbacks, see them as opportunities for your comebacks. Each setback is a stepping stone— think of it as a bouncing ball that propels you closer to where you want to be. A setback can put a spring in your step if you let it. So embrace the challenges. Look at them as what they are, nothing more or nothing less. "Don't attach your heart to the outcome of your failure." ~ Kristianne Wargo That's where your resilience muscle grows. While it may seem like all this is good and well, time still is not on your side. Yet, time is merely a tool in your hands. It's not a limitation but a resource to be managed wisely. You can make the most of every moment by prioritizing your tasks, setting boundaries, and focusing on what truly matters. Use time as a tool, not as an excuse, to break the mold. The K.I.S.S. ~ Break the mold! But here's the reality. When setbacks and delays test your patience, take a deep breath and recall that God's timing is perfect. You have got to remind yourself of God's watch, not yours. Trust in His plan for your life, knowing that each delay is part of a greater design. Your dreams are not forgotten; they are simply unfolding according to His divine timing. Have faith, stay steadfast, and believe that everything will fall into place at the right moment. Despite the challenges and setbacks, never lose sight of the purpose burning within your heart. Your dreams are worth pursuing with unwavering passion and your presence. Let your passion be the fuel that propels your purpose forward, driving you to break the mold and reach new heavenly heights here on earth. As you navigate through the challenges and busyness of your day, remember that you are destined for greatness. Your watch is yelling at you that it's time to break the mold! "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #Inspiration #CreateYourNow #DailyMotivation 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women?
