  1. 5533648 Take It As A New SeasonIn our journey towards healthy living, we often encounter obstacles and temptations that can derail our progress. However, every new day presents a fresh opportunity— take it as a new season. Just like the changing seasons, you can view each day as a new beginning for healthy living. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com What does your day look like now? Are you pressed for time? Are your finances holding you back? Do your excuses make it easier to not do what you know you need to do? Maybe the pain isn't significant enough and the status quo is okay for now.  But how are you going to feel 2 days from now, or 2 weeks, or 2 months? If you want to live healthy and enjoy life more, having boundaries and making yourself a priority this Spring is the best way to rock your new season! The K.I.S.S. ~ Rock your new season! Here are three simple strategies to help prioritize healthy living even when life gets busy: 1. Set Realistic Goals: Begin by setting achievable and realistic goals for yourself. Whether it's committing to a 30-minute workout, preparing homemade meals instead of ordering takeout, or getting a good night's sleep, setting specific goals can help you stay on track even during hectic days. 2. Create a Routine: Establishing a daily routine that includes healthy habits can make it easier to prioritize your health. Schedule your workouts or meal prep sessions at the same time each day to create consistency. Having a routine can help you stay organized and ensure that healthy choices become a natural part of your day. 3. Practice Self-Care: Remember that taking care of yourself is essential for overall well-being. Incorporate self-care activities such as meditation, pilates, yoga, or simply taking a few moments to unwind and relax. By prioritizing self-care, you can reduce stress, improve your mental health, and make healthier choices throughout the day. By approaching each day as a new season and embracing the opportunity for growth and positive change, you can make healthy living a priority even when life gets busy.   Remember, every small choice you make contributes to your overall health and well-being. So, take it one day at a time.   "One step at a time leads to miles of greatness." ~ Kristianne Wargo   Let your commitment this spring blossom into a healthier lifestyle. "Be present. Be incredible. 2. 5543647 Match Your EnergyWhy is it that we experience moments of boundless motivation to times when we feel utterly depleted? Life's roller coaster is ridiculous, but it's also beautiful when you match your energy.  That's life— the natural ups and downs. But what if instead of resisting or forcing your way through, you grab ahold of what you have and use it in the moment? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Matching your energy is about embracing your current state, whether it's a whirlwind of productivity or a gentle lull. It's your presence that counts. By tuning into and aligning with your inner vibe, you can achieve a sense of flow and balance that propels you toward your goals. It's all too common to push ourselves beyond our limits when we're riding high on motivation, only to crash hard when the energy fades. Likewise, during moments of depletion, we may beat ourselves up for not being as productive as we think we "should" be. But what if we viewed these ebbs and flows as natural cycles that can be harnessed for our benefit? The K.I.S.S. ~ Match your energy! When you're buzzing with energy, seize the moment to tackle tasks that require focus and drive. Harness this momentum to make strides toward your ambitions, knowing that you're in sync with yourself. And when your energy wanes, instead of fighting against it, pivot toward activities that nourish and restore you. Take breaks, practice self-care, and recharge your batteries so that when the energy surges anew, you'll be ready to ride the wave once more. By matching your energy, you not only honor your internal rhythms but you also cultivate a sense of self-awareness and compassion. You learn to listen to your body and mind, giving yourself the grace to ebb and flow with the tide of life. So, how are you feeling today? Remember to match your energy when you feel the tides of energy shifting within you. Trust in the power of finding harmony within yourself, and watch as you navigate life's currents with grace and intention. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #Inspiration #CreateYourNow #DailyMotivation 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3. 5553646 How to Silence the Voice in Your HeadDo you often find yourself battling the negative whispers in your mind that chip away at your self-worth and motivation? It's time to take control and learn how to silence the voice in your head. But is that even possible? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com How many years have you been saying the same thing? Better yet...How many times have you repeated what you told yourself in high school? Unfortunately, that's the life many people live every day. We get up with the same voice in our head, yet we're quick to complain about our spouse or the children. And sometimes, we get rid of the spouse. But how come we can't kick the voices in our heads that are destructive and dismantling our well-being? We sacrifice ourselves for the sake of others' lies?!? And for what? For their gain, and your loss? Life isn't fair, but you can play the game for yourself more fair. But you have to be willing to get in the game! The K.I.S.S. ~ Get in the game! I have been traveling once again all the while enjoying some incredible basketball games. When it comes to March Madness, the "madness" has nothing to do with the game, but everything to do with the heart.  This is the time when teams and individuals rise above their own ceilings. They create new records to be broken. But it all comes from them getting in the game! Here are three powerful strategies to help you get in the game of life: 1. Cultivate Self-Compassion: - Practice mindfulness and self-awareness to recognize when self-doubt creeps in. - Replace self-criticism with self-compassion by speaking to yourself as you would to a friend in need. - Celebrate your victories, no matter how big or small, and acknowledge your worthiness. 2. Channel Your Passion: - Identify your passions and interests to fuel your drive and enthusiasm. - Set inspiring goals that align with your values and aspirations. - Surround yourself with supportive individuals who uplift and encourage your passions. 3. Take Purposeful Action: - Break down daunting tasks into smaller, manageable steps to prevent overwhelm. - Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and learning. - Stay committed to your goals by staying focused on your "why" and the positive impact you can make. You get to choose how you show up every day. What will today be like? "Be present. Be incredible. 4. 5563645 So ThatIn moments of chaos and confusion, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and discouraged. The mess that surrounds us can often cloud our vision, making it difficult to see beyond our current circumstances. Yet scripture tells us more— so that. As believers, we are reminded in the Bible that there is always a deeper purpose behind our trials and struggles - a "so that" pointing us toward hope and redemption. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com One of the most powerful verses encapsulating this concept is found in John 9:3, where Jesus says, "Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him." Here, we see that even in the midst of suffering, there is a greater purpose at play - one that is rooted in glorifying God and His work in our lives. Similarly, in Romans 8:28, we are reminded that "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." This verse serves as a beacon of hope for those feeling lost in the chaos, reassuring us that God is working in and through our struggles to bring about something good and transformative. The K.I.S.S. ~ So that! So that you can move beyond the earthly failures and see the heavenly blessings here on earth. As we navigate the challenges and messiness of life, it is important to hold fast to the truth of 1 Peter 4:12-13, which says, "Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed." This passage reminds us that our suffering is not in vain but serves a greater purpose in revealing God's glory in our lives. So, to the one who finds themselves surrounded by chaos and disappointment, take heart in knowing that your mess is not the end of the story. There is a "so that" waiting to unfold, where God's glory will shine through and bring about beauty from ashes. Rest in the assurance that you are His beloved child, and He is faithfully working all things together for your good. In the words of 2 Corinthians 4:17, "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." Let this truth be a source of encouragement and strength as you journey through the chaos, knowing that the God of all comfort is with you every step of the way. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #SweetSpirit #CreateYourNow #SoulfulSunday 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 5. 5573644 Asking Takes CourageCommunication is key in marriage. Many spouses struggle to ask for help, feeling guilty or burdensome when they do. Asking takes courage, and it's a sign of strength, not weakness. So why don't we do it more often? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com There are so many reasons why we don't ask. Fear of Rejection: Spouses may hesitate to ask for help or communicate their needs out of fear of being rejected or judged by their partner. Assumption of Mind-Reading: Some spouses may believe that their partner should intuitively know what they need without having to explicitly ask for it, leading to miscommunication and unmet expectations. Guilt or Shame: Feelings of guilt or shame can prevent spouses from reaching out for assistance, as they may perceive themselves as burdensome or inadequate for needing help. Lack of Prioritization: Balancing household responsibilities, work commitments, and other obligations can make it difficult for spouses to prioritize communication about their needs and seek the support they require. Communication Barriers: Poor communication skills or unresolved conflicts within the relationship can create barriers to effectively expressing needs and asking for help. Independence: Some spouses may have a strong sense of independence and struggle to show vulnerability or rely on others for assistance, leading to a reluctance to communicate their needs. Do you identify with any of these? And maybe you have thought of others. Understanding these pain points can help you overcome barriers to effective communication and create a more open and supportive marriage built on trust, empathy, and mutual understanding. However, if you are going to get anywhere with communication, you've got to speak up and ask! The K.I.S.S. ~ Speak up and ask! Don't assume that your spouse is going to read your mind. I've been married and together for over 35 years now, and he still cannot read my mind. Now, I can read his mind, LOL! But that doesn't change the fact that we still need to feel comfortable, safe, and secure in sharing our thoughts, feelings, and needs with the one we love most. Come on, let's be real! Here are three ways to cultivate the courage to speak up and ask for what you need: 1. Set Aside Time for Honest Conversations: Create a safe space where you and your spouse can have open and honest discussions about your needs and expectations. Schedule regular check-ins to address any concerns or requests for support. By establishing clear communication channels, you can build trust and understanding in your relationship. 2. Practice Self-Advocacy: Recognize that it's okay to prioritize your well-being and ask for help when necessary. Practice self-advocacy by acknowledging your own needs and vocalizing them to your partner. Remember that a healthy relationship is based on mutual support and cooperation, so don't hesitate to express your concerns or ask for assistance. 3. Frame Requests Positively: When asking for help, frame your requests in a positive and constructive manner. Instead of focusing on what your spouse isn't doing, highlight how their assistance would benefit both of you. By emphasizing the positive outcomes of their support, you can encourage a collaborative approach to problem-solving and strengthen your bond as a couple. By cultivating the courage to speak up and ask for help in your relationship, you can foster a deeper connection with your spouse and create a more supportive and harmonious partnership. Remember, it's not a sign of weakness to seek assistance – it's a testament to your strength and commitment to building a healthy and fulfilling marriage because you care about each other. Asking takes courage. So, go and do it! "Be present. Be incredible. 6. 5583643 It Takes What It TakesParenting is a journey full of ups and downs, laughter and tears, joys and challenges. While showering our children with love and affection is essential, sometimes it takes what it takes. There are times when tough love is required to teach important life lessons and instill values. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Now, it's not going to be easy. At times, you will lose sleep. But you have to understand that when it comes to raising kids, it takes what it takes. You will give up what you thought you would never have to. You will learn to shut your mouth even though you want to scream. You will experience more frustration than ever before. But you can't fret over what you can't control. If you were to worry about everything to come, you would never enjoy life and the stages your children go through.  So, instead of living frantically, do what it takes. The K.I.S.S. ~ Do what it takes! Here are three ways for parents to stay encouraged and confident when they have to do what it takes: 1. Trust Your Instincts: As a parent, you possess a deep intuition when it comes to understanding what is best for your child. Trust your gut feelings and convictions when making tough decisions, even if they seem difficult in the moment. Remember, tough love today can pave the way for a brighter tomorrow. 2. Stay Committed to Long-Term Goals: Parenting is a long-term investment in shaping the future of your children. Keep your eyes on the bigger picture and remind yourself that the challenges you tackle today are paving the way for your child's growth and development. Maintain a balance between short-term discomfort and long-term benefits. 3. Seek Support and Guidance: Parenting is not a solitary journey. When faced with tough decisions, reach out to other parents, mentors, or professionals for advice and support. Sharing experiences and gaining insights from others can boost your confidence and help you stay committed to doing what it takes for your child's well-being. Remember, being a parent is a journey of growth and learning, both for you and your child. Embracing tough love when necessary is a part of that journey, shaping resilient, responsible, and compassionate individuals. Trust yourself, stay focused on your goals, and seek support when needed to navigate the challenges of parenting with love and strength. "Be present. Be incredible. Choose Mindfully: - Pay attention to your body's hunger and fullness cues to avoid overeating. - Opt for whole, unprocessed foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. - Practice mindful eating by savoring each bite, chewing slowly, and enjoying the flavors and textures of your food. 3. Stay Hydrated: - Drink an adequate amount of water throughout the day to support digestion and overall health. - Limit sugary drinks and opt for water, herbal teas, or infused water for hydration. - Incorporate hydrating foods like cucumber, watermelon, and leafy greens into your meals to increase your water intake. ***Try drinking a whole lemon every day. If you try to control the entire situation, you will drive yourself into a corner of betrayal, shame, and bitterness. There's no way around it. The K.I.S.S. ~ Stop fighting what you don't know! Move past what you're complaining about and do something you can actually take action on.  It's not about having all the answers. That will NEVER happen! But what you can do to be engaged, excited, and enthralled in the possibilities is to stop fighting all the unknowns. The battle will not be won on the field of unknowns. Give yourself the space to decide and then take A.I.M. on that decision.  You stewing over stuff you can't control and the things that you have no idea how it will turn out doesn't make a bit of sense. 10. 5623639 Embrace Change and GrowthEveryone needs a little luck of the Irish, including St. Patrick. He did not have luck until years later. As a matter of fact, it wasn't just luck but his ability to embrace change and growth. Oh, happy, happy St. Patrick's Day! Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co  In the 5th century, in the verdant hills of Roman Britain, a boy named Maewyn Succat was born. Little did he know that his life's path would lead him on a journey of faith, perseverance, and profound transformation, ultimately earning him the title of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. At the tender age of 16, Maewyn's world was turned upside down when he was captured by Irish raiders and taken as a slave to the rugged shores of Ireland. Amidst the hardship and toil of slavery, Maewyn found solace in his faith, turning to God for strength and guidance. It was during this time of captivity that he discovered the power of prayer and the resilience of the human spirit. After six years of servitude, a divine revelation inspired Maewyn to flee his captors and seek refuge in the land of his birth. Restored to freedom, he felt a calling, a purpose stirring within his heart. Guided by a vision, Maewyn embarked on a spiritual quest that would forever alter the course of his life. Taking on the name Patrick, meaning "noble" or "fatherly," he embraced his newfound identity and devoted himself to the Christian faith. Patrick's faith was unwavering, his fervor unyielding as he traveled back to Ireland, not as a captive, but as a missionary of God's word. "Christ beside me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ within me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me." ~ St. Patrick In a land steeped in ancient traditions and pagan beliefs, Patrick fearlessly preached the message of Christianity, drawing crowds with his words of love, forgiveness, and redemption. Miracles were attributed to him, and hearts were transformed by his teachings. Through his evangelism, Patrick baptized thousands, establishing churches and monasteries across the Irish landscape. Symbols of Patrick's ministry abounded - from the iconic shamrock that he used to explain the concept of the Holy Trinity, to the legendary tale of banishing serpents from the land, symbolizing the eradication of pagan rituals. His legacy lived on in the hearts of the Irish people, who revered him as a beacon of faith and a symbol of unity. As the years passed, St. Patrick's story became woven into the fabric of Irish history, his name synonymous with the spread of Christianity and the enduring spirit of the Emerald Isle. His life, marked by challenges, successes, and unwavering devotion, serves as a testament to the power of faith, resilience, and the transformative impact one individual can have on the world. St. Patrick's legacy endures as a timeless tale of courage, redemption, and the boundless grace of God. The K.I.S.S. ~ Faith and works go hand in hand! "Faith and works are like the light and heat of a candle. You need both to see by." ~ St. Patrick Here are three practical things you can do to embrace change and growth inspired by St. Patrick: 1. Practice Adaptability: Just as St. Patrick navigated his journey from captivity to becoming a missionary, embrace changes in your life with an open mind. Be adaptable and willing to step out of your comfort zone to embrace new opportunities for growth. 2. Cultivate Resilience: Draw strength from challenges, just as St. Patrick found resilience through his faith. View setbacks as opportunities for learning and personal development. Remember that true growth often stems from overcoming obstacles. 3. Seek Support and Guidance: St. Patrick's unwavering faith was a source of guidance and strength for him. Surround yourself with a supportive community or mentor who can provide guidance, encouragement, and perspective as you navigate periods of change and growth. "Be present. Be incredible. 12. 5643637 Uncover What Is HiddenMany times, we go through our days loading the trucks, relying on habits that come easy, and wishing for something better. Deep down, married life isn't all roses and rainbows. If only we could uncover what is hidden. And what is hidden? Those feelings you never share: loneliness, failure, defeat, despair, frustration, anger, shame...all the ones that you think will disappear in a few days.  Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co  "Surely, it will get better," you repeat to yourself. So, what does your reality look like? In fact, let me ask you a more challenging question. What does your night feel like? The darker the night, there's a flood of emotions and feelings. It's almost as if the night brings out the monster feelings we attempt to ignore during the day. With a restless sleep and a weary heart, it's so tough to make it. But somehow you do, and then the sun rises. You rinse and repeat because that's what you know. But married life is not intended to be something you hate and despise. It does require work connecting two hearts. And that doesn't come easy. However, it can be accomplished. You just have to be willing to uncover what is hidden. The K.I.S.S. ~ Uncover what is hidden! And for the most part, what is hidden is you! Maybe you think it's better to stay quiet and reserved with your words instead of speaking up and letting your voice be heard.  I want you to keep in mind that marriage is a two-way street. It takes two to have a marriage where you grow together, encourage each other, and live life well. If anyone tells you differently, they are telling a fib! But you don't have to settle for where you are right now. If you want a marriage in which two people can do life together well, it can be you!! Yet, it comes with a cost. You must uncover what is hidden. Acknowledge Your Hurt - This can be a particular situation that was a one and done. Or it might be a pattern of actions that repeat themselves quite frequently with your spouse. What matters is that if it is bothering you and thoughts pop up regularly, there is something there. Express Yourself with Care - If you choose to hold onto hurts, they will not only destroy your marriage but also you! So, share your thoughts and feelings with your spouse. If it is something that you believe will set your spouse off in the a negative direction, be sure you share with someone you feel safe with. You don't have to do it alone. *And if you are in physical danger, please seek help! Forgive to move forward - You can do all the stuff, but if you are not willing to forgive your spouse, then it will lead to bitterness for you! And bitterness truly sucks the life out of you. If you think you have it bad now, when you hit the rock bottom of bitterness, it can be so emotionally and psychologically destructive. It tears you up from the inside out! But you can overcome knowing that both of you are coming together and willing to work together. If you can get professional help, I would highly encourage it. And gentlemen, if you are listening, be a man and go too! If you want this to work, remember it takes two! I want you to think about this episode as a way to change what you don't want so you can have what you dreamed of for your marriage. "Be present. Be incredible. 13. 5653636 How to Say No Without GuiltGuilt is a real thing for parents. We want to give our kids what we didn't have, but at what cost and to what extremes? At some point, you must embrace how to say no without guilt. Because can you really reason with a child, no matter their age?  Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co  Absolutely not!! Yet, because we want to be that endearing parent who gives our kids what we didn't have, we try to approach situations and circumstances with a reasonable twist. But they can't reason! Their brains have not fully developed.  And, of course, you have to consider the situation and the appropriate actions. Life is ridiculous for parents, and it doesn't get easier the older they get.  What I can tell you that works best is that you are the parent, so be the parent! The K.I.S.S. ~ Be the parent! That means you have to be the adult in the situation. You have to look at how you need to respond based on the severity, or lack thereof, and determine your next steps, especially when it comes to discipline. There are consequences in life, good or bad. Raising your kids to understand that they can get away with whatever, and there are no consequences, only sets them up for future failures and greater falls. You were given your children to raise them up to be productive human beings, not to be their best friend. Plus, you're not grandma and grandpa. They've earned the right to spoil; you have the right to discipline! So, be the parent! 1. Examine the situation for what it is. There is nothing worse than overreacting! Instead of being overly dramatic or monstrous in your reaction, take a deep breath and see the situation. Don't read into the what-ifs. Gather the facts and know the potential fallout. So long as everyone is safe, that is what counts first. Then, take the next step. 2. Choose your words wisely. When we are pushed to the limits and stressed without preparation, it's easy to jump into survival mode. Yet, being a parent requires regulated and calculated conversations. If it can wait until morning (assuming the incident happens at night), then maybe that would be better for all involved. However, if the situation calls for a "911" response by you, then think before you open your mouth. Otherwise, it might end up being a foot-in-the-mouth moment. Not good. So, choose your words wisely. 3. Know the lesson they need to learn. If you can approach the circumstance with the knowledge of what they need to get out of the mess, that will bring a sense of balance to a stressful situation. And then, you can prepare how you want to lead them into making a wiser decision, so they don't make the same mistake again.  Certainly, you have to survey the situation. But also, don't be afraid to be firm. Life is precious and so are your children. Teaching them the way to go is one of the greatest responsibilities that we have as parents. Yes, we want to give our kiddos what we didn't have, but don't let them make the same mistakes you did. As parents, we get to break the generational mishaps and make life more meaningful. Who wants to continue stuff that isn't good? Our parents did their best, and as time goes on, we can also do better. Giving that incredible gift to your child allows you to say no without guilt. 15. 5673634 Do Fitness Gadgets Tell the Truth?Living a healthy lifestyle has its own set of rules: diligence, consistency, and intentional actions. Honesty is the name of the game, and it includes all the stuff you need to reach your goals. So the question is: Do fitness gadgets tell the truth?  Now, I'm sure you're thinking, how can they not? They are digital products running on an operating system that tracks health and fitness. There's no way where they can't work. What can be wrong? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co  In reality, fitness gadgets are only as honest as you are truthful with yourself. And that means your work happens first before they work. Imagine the Body Pod by Hume Health, the Oura Ring Gen 4, Fitbit or Apple watch, CGMs (continuous glucose monitors), workout apps, food trackers, fitness equipment, and everything in between. There is so much to choose from, but are the serving you well, or should you even invest in them? Some of the things to consider when using fitness gadgets: 1. Inaccurate Data: Fitness gadgets may not always provide entirely accurate data, leading to misinterpretation of your health and fitness progress. Depending solely on this data can result in false assumptions about your activity levels, calorie burn, and overall well-being. 2. Overreliance on Technology: Relying too heavily on fitness gadgets can potentially detach individuals from intuitive listening to their bodies. Ignoring internal cues and prioritizing external data can lead to unhealthy habits or exercise behaviors that are not sustainable in the long run. 3. False Sense of Achievement: Constantly chasing after step counts or calorie goals set by fitness gadgets can create a false sense of achievement. This mindset may overlook other essential aspects of healthy living, such as proper nutrition, rest, and mental well-being, leading to an imbalanced approach to overall health. 4. Dependency on Motivation: While fitness gadgets can provide motivation and accountability, solely relying on them for motivation can be risky. If the gadget malfunctions or if the novelty wears off, you may struggle to stay consistent with your healthy living habits without external prompts. 5. Privacy and Security Concerns: Fitness gadgets collect a vast amount of personal data, including activity levels, sleep patterns, and sometimes even location information. Relying on these gadgets means entrusting sensitive information to technology that might not always guarantee the highest level of privacy and security, posing potential risks to personal data protection. There's a ton of stuff with all the stuff. If you want to use the latest and greatest fitness gadgets, you need to separate fact from fiction. The K.I.S.S. ~ Separate fact from fiction! You cannot believe everything you read, or you will not succeed. Your health takes personal ownership. Only you can do the work to ensure that what you're doing actually benefits you health-wise.  So what does it look like in real life? 1. Be Realistic with Expectations If you are solely dependent on fitness gadgets, set your goals accordingly. Keep in mind that the gadgets are constructed for the average person. And if you're not average, it won't work as well for you.  2. Know what you need Use your resources when it comes to your health. Talk to your medical provider, personal trainer, spouse, or coach. Get "live" interaction with what you're doing and the reason for doing so. Also, be sure to read the reviews if you are purchasing something. Research goes a long way. 3. Use what you purchase All the bells and whistles will not melt your problems away. You have to put in the work and use what you purchase to assist in the goals you set for yourself. Remember, you are the boss, not the fitness gadget. Personally, I do believe fitness gadgets are fabulous, but your mindset will get you farther than any latest fitness gadget. Be wise where you spend your money. Your mind and body don't see the money; they only respond to your actions. Time to take A.I.M.! "Be present. Be incredible. 16. 5683633 Break Out of AutopilotThere are not many things that we do over and over again that benefit us. Habits can do you good as well as they can do you bad. Regardless of the season you're in, be intentional with your actions and words. Break out of autopilot. Autopilot is super dangerous! Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co  Think about your GPS system.  I was playing with my grandson the other day, and he was riding his scooter. At one point, I asked him where he was going. He said he didn't know. So, I might have mentioned the idea of a map and his GPS. Then, it was a deep dive into the city and the train depot we were headed to. And, of course, every single time he got on his scooter, he told all about his GPS. Do you wake up with that clarity of where you're going? Most of us just get up and do the same thing without even thinking twice about it. This might be a little TMI-- but when you go to the bathroom, do you do everything the same way? I would bet you do.  With our daily survival habits, like going to the bathroom, brushing our teeth, even eating and how we chew our food, there's not that big of a deal. Create your now! Break out of autopilot and soar on wings like eagles! See the world with a different eye. Act with purposeful intention. 17. 5693632 Master Your Attitude with Your MindMaking changes requires us to perform different actions and think in a new way. In doing so, you get closer to your goals. Otherwise, you will fight yourself for what isn't possible. Therefore, master your attitude with your mind. Some of the hardest things you and I must do in life is fight our own battles in the head. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co  Self-talk is a real thing. And let me just say, it has nothing to do with how crazy you are. What you think about yourself, you will live out. My good friend, Marianne Renner, has a brand new book coming out in May 2025 called "Self-Talk: 10 Stories You Tell Yourself that Hold You Back." It's the real deal in life when we get in our own way. If we're up in our heads proclaiming that something is not going to work, you're not good enough, or some other hateful thought, if you keep repeating it, you keep believing it. And how unfair to you and your dreams!  You matter. Your dreams matter. Your purpose matters. But if you are not willing to do what it takes to make the change, you are going to stay right where you are. So, today, I will assume that you want something different in life. And in order to live that out, you have to master your attitude with your mind. The K.I.S.S. ~ Master your attitude with your mind! Imagine a life where you can navigate challenges with grace, overcome obstacles with resilience, and approach each day with positivity. Now, it's not all about affirmations and declarations. This is not about foo-foo and woo-woo. This is the real deal to make a difference in your life so you can impact the world that you touch. And it all begins with mastering your attitude through the incredible power of your mind. As we know, research has shown that our attitudes and beliefs can rewire our brains. When we choose to adopt a positive attitude, our brain releases neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin, promoting feelings of happiness and well-being. This neurological process reinforces the importance of cultivating a positive mindset. However, it doesn't stop there. You still have to do the work with the thoughts that are in your mind. They don't magically disappear. If only we could wave a magic wand. LOL 😂 How you speak to yourself internally plays a crucial role in shaping your attitudes. By practicing positive self-talk and affirmations, you can reprogram your mind to focus on solutions rather than problems. As Louise Hay famously said, "You have the power to heal your life, and you need to remember this power lies within you." 1. Embrace a Growth Mindset: Psychologist Carol Dweck's research on the growth mindset highlights the importance of viewing challenges as opportunities for growth. By embracing a growth mindset, we can shift our attitudes from fear of failure to embracing learning and development. Think of the type of mindset in the direction you want to go. You can stay "fixed" or you can transition to a "growth" mindset. Do you want to stay where you are or move forward? 2. Practice Gratitude: Cultivating an attitude of gratitude has been linked to improved mental health and overall well-being. By expressing gratitude for the present moment and the blessings in your life, you can shift your focus from scarcity to abundance. Gratitude stretches your attitude, for it's genuinely a fortitude. Your presence matters. Stay in the moment and see the possibilities, not the problems. 3. Set Intentions: When you set clear intentions, it aligns your thoughts and actions toward your goals. Dream a little bigger and then put some extra thoughts behind the dream. Visiualize what can be done in the season you are in. As you give yourself permission to see what's possible, you can set your next steps into action with intention. "One step at a time leads to miles of greatness." ~ Kristianne Wargo You can shape your reality and experience a life filled with purpose and passion because of your presence. Create your now! 18. 5703631 God Is Our RefugeAs your days become more than you can handle alone, remember that God's got you! It says in  Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." Have you ever been in trouble? Have you ever thought you might be close to the end? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co  We have all experienced that feeling of living life on our own. So many things piling up around us that we feel like we are coming to a breaking point. However, I want to remind you that you are not alone.  He is there for you ALL the time. Now, you might say that you disagree because you don't have the answers you want. Yet, God is still there even when you don't get what you want. Sounds all too familiar when raising kids, right? We tell them no they can't do something or have something, and they whine, walk away mad, wishing they had a different parent. We can kind of be like that with God. But I want to encourage you today: "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." ~ Psalm 46:1 The K.I.S.S. ~ God is your refuge! By now, you've probably heard about my diagnosis of double pneumonia after the first of the new year. It was not good, mainly because I had no energy. And for a woman who is always on the go, that was a kick in the pants. I get tired or exhausted because of what I do, but not because of an illness.  So unfair. Yet that was just the beginning.  In February, we had a cold spell that took our temperatures down to 10 degrees with a wind chill at times below zero. If you're in the south, that is not the temperature you want. Plus, stuff happens when it freezes.  Well, you know all about the forced renovations inside. But I get a call while at a conference that we are having troubles with the pool. Bubbles are happening outside. I am a day from arriving home, and all I can do is watch a video and see what's going on. I call my pool man, and he says, "You've got a leak!"  Can I just say I have PTSD from water?!?  We had the crew come out and emergently winterize our pool to protect any of the working lines. There was no guarantee what was wrong, but something was WRONG!! After arriving home, we had to keep the ice from getting too thick to keep the water lines open and free from a freeze. That required us to stick the ice on the top of the pool and keep it more in chunks rather than an ice skating rink. One day, I was working on the ice and the pool, and a struck the ice with a brief pause.... And then all of sudden I had an eighth of a milli-second to decide whether or not I was going with the fall, or would fight the fall in mid-air.  YES!!! I fell into the pool with ice about 2 inches thick. God is our refuge!! The short story is I'm alive to talk about it. The long story that early afternoon was I came close to not making it. God is our refuge!! In the moments of the water and ice hitting my body, and me being pulled under the ice was a little anerving. In a brief moment, I knew I had to get out of the pool or my son would walk down the stairs and find his mom floating dead in the pool. All I could do was constantly tell myself to get above the water, keep your head above the water. As I climbed the iceburgs of Alaska in the backyard of my Tennessee swimming pool, I prayed to God to get me out. With fingernails clawing the slabs of ice, my heavy sweater wrapped around my face strangling my neck as it caught the edges of the ice. The fight was real, but God was by refuge. Somehow, I was able to pull myself over two huge slabs of ice that were about as tall as me (5 feet). Finally, I got to the shallow sunning ledge and caught my breath. Making sure I wasn't dizzy and going to pass out, I continued the climb. The climb of life is real, and so is God!! "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." ~ Psalm 46:1 "Be present. Be incredible. 19. 5713630 How to Love in a One-Sided MarriageIn marriage, there are sweet moments of honeymoons, celebrations, and birthdays. As two become one over the years, many things shift, including who loves more or less. How to love in a one-sided marriage. Let's be real. Neither of you loves the same way. Neither of you show up committed in the same way.  Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co  However, you both love each other uniquely, and at times, it can feel like you are doing everything. Then the questions begin: Why can't he love me more? Why can't he see what he's doing wrong? Why do I have to do everything in this relationship? These questions are just a sprinkle of all the doubt you thought of years ago before walking down the aisle, but now seems a little too close to reality. Let me remind you that there are seasons in marriage. You will have the roller coasters that you conquer together, but then there will be those lines only for one person. Why does it have to be this way?  Relationships ebb and flow. When you bring two people together who want to do life together, it takes work, like swimming upstream in a downstream world.  Unfair? Yes. Leads to divorce? Only if you allow it. Marriage is work, and love takes action. You have to be willing to go above and beyond. The K.I.S.S. ~ Go above and beyond! And let me say this: Just because you put in all the work doesn't make you better than your spouse. Yes, it requires more effort and energy, but please don't discount what your spouse is doing. Usually, they are executing only what they know or have been shown.  I can definitely remember times in our marriage when I felt I was married only to myself. I'm not saying that was good, yet it was reality. If you can look at things with clarity, then you can deal with the season you are in better and get out on the other side closer. So what does it look like in the real world of marriage? 1. Know the Season so You Show Up with Reason.  Just as Fall moves into Winter, you can prep your plants, trees, and grass for the cold that moving in. It's part of the growth cycle. Marriage is the same way. There will be times when it's going to take all of you. And if you're willing, then it becomes easier actually to live out with that clarity of knowing your position in getting through the season. You won't be there long, just hold on. 2. Give Grace in the Midst of Chaos Nothing is every going to be perfect. So, if you are going to go above and beyond, you've got to give grace. There's no other way around it. Otherwise, you will be the one hurt the most because your emotions that harbor the feelings of "why can't he do more," will turn into resentment and bitterness in your heart. And that's a whole other mountain to climb. Give grace. 3. Express What You Need at the Right Time. Timing is everything! In the digital space, a phrase is thrown around: "Content is king." In marriage, timing is king. If you have concerns about money, it probably is not a good idea to talk about it right before bed. Do it when you both are well-rested. If you feel like you're holding down the fort with no help, that's a fair concern. But don't bring it up in a discussion involving who's picking up the kids when. It's not the right time! And just because we have technology at our fingertips does not mean you can say anything anytime. Remember, timing is everything. "Marriage is work, and love takes action." ~ Kristianne Wargo Don't let the excuses of your personal wants get in the way of creating the best relationship between two people. The one-sided marriage will not last forever. Be patient. Express your concerns. And be willing to go above and beyond. You can have a beautiful marriage and love deeper every day. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #RelationshipBuilders #CreateYourNow #LoveAndMarriage 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 20. 5723629 Stretch Them So You Don't Shrink ThemRaising kids can be the pits sometimes. You want to do everything for them, but they still don't get it. Why can't they do what we teach? Remember, as a parent, you are called to stretch them so you don't shrink them. How has your week gone with the kids? Or maybe you're without them, but you are never not a parent. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co  Once a parent, always a parent.  So, how do you communicate with your children? Do you get mad because that's the only way to get their attention? Or do you speak in whispers to draw them in closer? Parenting is super confusing. At one point, you think you have it all figured out. Yet, less than hours later, you are putting out a fire that you just told them not to do. Motherhood is a sham! Just kidding--LOL! Seriously, though, it is a TON of work that does not come with a manual. If there is one thing that I've learned from raising five kiddos is to stretch them so you don't shrink them. The K.I.S.S. ~ Stretch them, not to shrink them! The strength of children is found in the ceiling. First you want a firm foundation, but the ceiling is what determines how far they will go. This means that wherever you hold the expectation, they will either rise to it or shrink back because it's too easy. My Dad always dreamed BIG!! Nothing was too BIG for my dad. And that's probably why I had dreams of going to the Olympics, becoming Miss America, and being an OB/GYN physician. Oh, how small were my dreams. But let me tell you, I may not have achieved any of them for a variety of reasons (which really doesn't matter), the thought of going after them was well worth the dreams because of all the lessons learned had I not tried at all. How are you teaching your children? Do you make it easy for them to achieve, or do you raise the bar for them to attempt and maybe even succeed? If you want to be that parent who leads with love to serve them well, you want to stretch them, not to shrink them. Raise the Bar: Your child is created for more, regardless of whether you can see it or not. When you give a gentle stretch to keep them reaching, you assist them in learning new life skills and training their mindset that nothing is impossible. Lower Your Goals: Your children are not living your life. So don't make what they are doing all about you! Instead, open their eyes to see what's possible and help them dream bigger. Dream the Impossible: With today's technology, dreaming has become less prevalent in our society. Have you heard of ChatGPT? Well, if it's the only thing that's dreaming, our children are in trouble. So, rip what holds your child back. Encourage them to dream the impossible. Our minds have not changed, but our attitudes have. Don't let the sun go down on your children. Stretch them to the moon and back and see how they impact the world they touch. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #ConfessionsOfAnUpsetMama #CreateYourNow #TodaysParent 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 21. 5733628 Break the BoxWhen life gives you lemons, make scrumptious lemonade with mint. Who you are in your everyday matters. Stop pretending everything is okay. You can't live life in the confines of your limitations. Break the box! So much of our days are filled with the habits that keep us stuck in our comfort zones. Would that change how your heart feels?  How would that impact you? Unfortunately, we are focused more on others' needs and wants, and totally dismiss what we need. We coward in the corner because we know what feels like.  Who wants to be someone else's punching bag? And this isn't just about yelling and screaming. I give you that example because it denotes something that most of us are familiar with. But in our ideal world, who wants to live that way? I don't. And I don't think you do either. The K.I.S.S. ~ Break the box! Stand for what matters not for everyone else, but for you! You matter!! And if you don't see that, maybe you need to take a closer look at who you are seeing in the mirror. Mirror, mirror on the wall... What is it for you? What do you want out of life? Stop playing the games where everyone else is still in high school. You get to choose who you hang out with. You get to choose how you respond to all that is going on around you.  If you are tired of where you are, then change your position. Positioning your heart and space is essential to living the life God desires for you. Plus, if you keep doing the same thing, where is that going to get you? Right where you are now! Break the box! Be the cream that rises to the top. Don't let what the world says to you, or past hurts, or present heartbreaks hold you back from doing what you were created to do. This is your day to let your light shine. So rise up! And BREAK the BOX!!! "Be present. Be incredible. 22. 5743627 You Are Too Busy For Your HealthWhy does life have to be so challenging? Why do we fight more than we love ourselves? So many questions with a simple answer: you are too busy for your health. Over the past few months, I have been burning the candle at not just two ends but twenty ends. This mama and grandmama was always on the move.  Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co  I mean, who doesn't prioritize your family?  But in reality, if all you do is keep pushing yourself deeper and deeper down in the ground, there is little resolve for your comeback. If you haven't heard, I was diagnosed with double pneumonia just at the start of the new year. Between handling things with the family and all that it brings with five children and 2 grandbabies, I didn't have time to slow down. I knew I was overworking my body. I wasn't eating right.  I was traveling more than I was sleeping. How could my mind and body function properly if I wasn't giving it what it needed?  Such nonsense-- But that is a lot of our realities. We have SO much going on that we don't really care for ourselves. We wait until the breakdown, and then we have no choice. The K.I.S.S. ~ Choose wisely! You are the only one who can care for your mind and body. If you don't do it, no one else will. Now, yes, if you end up in the hospital, you may have doctors and nurses that care for you, but when you leave, it's all up to you. How much are you worth to your family?  Now, consider how much you are worth to your purpose here on earth. Most of the time, we are quick to dismiss the value and worth that we add to our family and the world that we touch. You are created on purpose for a purpose. It's no accident that you are here. But you can't do what you were created to do if you don't take care of you. It's a pretty simple concept. However, we have a hard time remembering that. So, where are you in your healthy goals? Whatever you do, choose wisely. What does your mind and body need now during this season? What permission do you need to give yourself? What is the next step? 24. 5763625 When You Don't Have A ChoiceLife can throw you unexpected curveballs that you don't know what to do. How unfair is it to live life only to be drowning in what you can't control? What to do when you don't have a choice. Or is that really the case? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co  All I can say is that I have missed you very much! Life has had me in the swirls and twirls of everything.  And as much as I would like to say I didn't have control, I didn't! However, I did have control over how I responded.  I think that's something that we tend to forget when we are going about our every day. We just show up and keep doing what we think we know, hitting the brick walls and bouncing off of them. But when you experience enough knockouts, you figure a way to rise up. Because no matter what you think, you still get to choose! The K.I.S.S. ~ You still get to choose! And really, it all comes from my craziness these past few months. I have been burning the candle at not two ends but twenty ends. Yep! Chop me up and light the torch; I'm melting.  It has been pretty much my life since probably about mid-year 2024. I was doing pretty well keeping everything melted and being able to have it settle down from time to time. But then right after the holidays, it all stopped. You know when your body says enough is enough, you have no choice but to listen. And that's what I did. I chose how I needed to respond to the chaos. What about you? Are you burning the candle at 10 ends, not just two? You don't have to live that way. In fact, I would tell you to stop and smell the roses before something drastic happens. There's nothing better than your mind and body telling you exactly what you need to do. Sometimes, it's by force, and other times it's a choice. What do you choose today? "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #MindsetMonday #CreateYourNow #PersonalDevelopment 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women?
