The prayer
Written prayerThank you Jesus, What a joy it is to know that because of your death and resurrection, you broke the power of death for all mankind. Because of your great sacrifice of love all those who were asleep in you will be brought forth into resurrection life with you. You set the world back in order and destroyed the works of the enemy. You declared the final victory over the power of the enemy, and delivered all those, past, present, and future, who believe in you, from death. You broke Satan's power and took back the keys of death that he stole when Adam sinned through disobedience. Through your obedience, as an innocent man, you bore the sins of the world for all of us so that whosoever believes in you will have everlasting life. Words cannot express the heartfelt appreciation I feel for the sacrificial gift of love you made on my behalf. I will never fully comprehend what it cost you to hang on that cross but I can only imagine the horror of that humiliation. My eyes are filled with tears of joy at the truth that you have risen to eternal glory. I can now rejoice with all the hosts of heaven He is risen! My savior lives and will bring me forth to be with him when my time on earth is finished. In Jesus name, amen.
