Global Prayer on Philippians 3:10

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Philippians 3:10 · KJV

The prayer

Written prayer

Lord, I shout for joy at your resurrection but I also feel the pain of your sufferings. As your flesh feels the scourge of the whip rip into your back I enter into your suffering as I yield to the death of my earthly desires. As you purify my life I feel the pain of my humiliation as I am brought low in obedience to your word. My pride wants to exalt itself but your word requires me to serve others. When I am accused unfairly I follow you, a lamb led to the slaughter but said not a word. I yield to the circumstances and realize that the weapons of my warfare are not carnal but spiritual to the pulling down of strongholds. As I endure the testing of purification you find me worthy and encompass me with your presence. I know you in a way I never could through celebration. I know you in the intimacy of your suffering. As I die to my worldly desires I find the stability of your peace and the power of your life flowing through me. Even as the disciples said I die daily that life may be formed in me. Jesus you died on that cross that I might live forever with no fear of death only the promise of being with you. There is no greater promise than to spend eternity with the one I love. In Jesus name, amen.
