Today’s prayer
Written prayerJesus, I ask you to forgive me for wavering so often in my faith. My mind chooses to believe your word but my emotions still doubt you will answer my prayers the way I want you too. I know you can do whatever you want, but I am not sure you want to do it for me. I’ve been so disappointed by people in life that it is hard to fully trust that you will not let me down too. Help me raise up my shield of faith to quench the fiery darts of the enemy. He is the liar who whispers in my ear doubt, fear and unbelief. Unfortunately, instead of confessing “My God will not fail me.” I confess all the reasons why it won’t work. I begin to prepare myself for disappointment rather than declaring my victory though the strong hand of my mighty God. Teach me how to manage my emotions and not let them be gripped by the lies and fears of the enemy. Teach to grab on tighter to your word and watch my faith grow as you go before me and make a way I never considered. Don’t let me waver between belief and unbelief but be resolved to believe. Help me be faithful in all things Lord. In Jesus name, amen.
