The prayer
Written prayerHeavenly Father I look unto you in these times of unrest and turmoil. Even those in the body of Christ are warring against each other with different interpretations of your word. Churches split and the congregants are like the children of a divorce torn in half and their stability is disrupted. Politicians are lying to get elected and it is impossible to know who is telling the truth anymore. There is so much confusion in this world, and everyone is selling something, the human connection is being lost and minimized. It breaks my heart to see all the conflict around me. The world is filled with anger and greed, and lust. I have no idea what to do but Look up unto you Lord. You are my hope and strength when I am weak and confused. You are the way, the truth, and the life that I long to cling to. You are my hope and the God of my salvation. I trust in you to hear my cries and come to my rescue. You are my faithful Lord and I am under your protective hand of grace. I will wait on you with an expectant heart of hope. In Jesus name, amen.
