Today’s prayer
Written prayerFather, how wonderful it is for your children to dwell together in unity of heart and mind. You have called us to love one another and encourage each other in the faith. We are of one mind and that is that Jesus Christ is Lord of all. We have all surrendered our lives to his lordship and are learning how to grow in righteousness. By the power of your Holy Spirit we are being healed and transformed. We need each other to inspire us and boost our spirits when the challenges are difficult. It seems the more I learn the more I realize there is to learn. No one person can fathom the depth of your wisdom and ways. You keep calling me to deeper revelations of your love. Don’t let me grow conceited because I may have overcome something another is struggling with. Help me reach out to them and offer a helping hand. Teach me how to give them hope like others did for me when I was struggling with the passions of my flesh. I want to look on those less fortunate with compassion and mercy and give them confidence in your love and ability to bring them through whatever they are going through. In Jesus name, amen.
