Today’s prayer
Written prayerHeavenly father, you are worthy of all praise, honor, and glory. Not only in this life but in the life to come. You are the Lord of ALL creation in heaven and earth. When the angel came to announce that the messiah was born that announcement heralded the multitude of the heavenly host. For you are the Lord of hosts and command both the seen and unseen hosts. All these angles that were summoned at that great announcement are all those that surround me now. This is the army of the great king who fights on my behalf. This is the day they came to praise the entrance of their commander in chief into this earthly realm. Even as a child they knew he was the son of the most high God who came to defeat the powers of death and destruction. Lord, Christmas is so much more than a holiday to celebrate spending and parties. It is a time of gratitude for the most precious gift of all… the gift of salvation and deliverance from evil. It is a time of joining the great heavenly multitudes in praising our lord and savior Jesus Christ. I pray you will open the hearts of those I meet and inspire me to share your wonderful message of grace and mercy during this season. In Jesus name, amen.
