Global Prayer on Genesis 3:1

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Genesis 3:1 · KJV

Today’s prayer

Written prayer

Lord, Keep me from Satan’s deceptions. When he took the form of a serpent his crafty conning sought to seduce Eve into disobedience. He was fiercely jealous of you and he knew if he could destroy your prize creation, Adam and Eve, it would hurt you. So he went after what you loved most, your children. He came to Eve with a deceptively innocent question, ‘Did I hear God say?’ and twisted your words. He is still doing that today and he knows the only way to strike a blow against you is to go after your children. Lord, help me not fall for the subtleties of the enemies' deceptions. So often I hear his words cast doubt on your word. He wants to keep my eyes on the challenges in front of me and off of you. He wants to cast doubt on your goodness and cause me to make foolish choices like Eve did. Forgive me Lord, for even listening to his distortions and lies. Protect me from Satan's strategies and alert me to his conniving schemes. Your word is truth and I long to be filled with your word so I can refute Satan's lies with your truth. If I even entertain a conversation with the devil’s lies he begins to worm his way into my thoughts and establishes a stronghold of doubt in my mind. Keep me in your perfect will. In Jesus name, amen.
