Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Lord, the world seems to be falling apart around me and everyone else. There is turmoil in my home, at work, at the store, and wherever I go. It is very frightening. Friends who have always been there for me are also filled with fear. They cannot help me. I feel like I need to fly away to a safe island somewhere. But there is no place to run to where there is no turmoil. Then as I pray and read your Your Word, I remember that you are there for me when no one else is around. It is quite amazing to start to pray and ask you to come close to me and you do. My fear starts to leave. Thank you, LORD, for coming to earth to show all of us who God is and that he will never leave us nor let us down. You came to bring comfort to our hearts, healing to our souls and life in our spirits. Please enable me, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to hang onto this wonderful truth in Your Word, and I pray that You provide me with the wisdom, the words and the grace to encourage and extend Your comfort to others, who are facing their own difficult trials, in Jesus name I pray, amen.
