Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Lord, you made it clear that if I love you I will trust you and keep your commandments. If I don’t love you I am free to do my own thing. That’s the beauty of your love…free choice. You don’t want cookie cutter Christians who are forced to conform. That is not love. Love is a choice. Your word says perfect love casts out all fear. Perfect me in your love that I might know how completely and unconditionally you love me. It is not your desire to punish me but to heal and restore me to my best self. Please help me to completely depend on you, to be completely obedient to your word, so I can be a true representative of yours here on earth. You are so easy to love Lord. You never bully me into serving you. I want to be near you because you are my safe place and my powerful protector. You know that I love you because it is my heart's desire to live in accordance to your commandments. It’s my choice. Whoever doesn’t know you or love you is free to walk away and follow after their desires and passions. Whoever chooses to live life apart from you will reap the unfortunate consequence. I pray for your mercy to overwhelm them and open their blind eyes to your love. I am grateful that I am learning how to love you more each day with all of my heart and intentions, in Jesus name, Amen.
