Today’s prayer
Written prayerI give thanks to you this day and every day my faithful father. I delight in your goodness and rejoice in your mercy. Teach me to pray without ceasing. When you are a part of all my thoughts and I am in constant communion with you am I not praying? Isn’t praying talking with you about what is on your heart and mind? I am constantly aware of your presence as I go through my day, even at the grocery store. I love having you go with me wherever I go. You are always there to direct me and show me who to talk to and what to say. I love letting you move through me for your purposes. I know that it seems foolish to give thanks when I am hurting but I am not thanking you for the situation but I am thanking you in the situation. You inhabit the praises of your people. When I praise you your spirit is drawn into the situation and I feel my peace return and my spirits are lifted. Praise and thanksgiving are weapons of warfare and scatter the enemy because he cannot tolerate a praising person. I have so much to be grateful for when I meditate on your goodness. In Jesus name, amen.
