Today’s prayer
Written prayerLord, I thank you for this ancient custom of hospitality. But today I use the water of your word to wash the road dust of life from my feet so I can rest in your love. You are the tree of life I rest under, and your word cleanses me from all the pollution I encountered as I moved through my day. If I don't wash my Spirit with your word, the pollution builds up and starts to constrict my Spirit and strangle the life out of me. Your word brings new life and restores me with your priorities and values. I am a citizen of your kingdom and continue to grow in your love. Amen.
