Global Prayer on Ruth 1:8

And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother's house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me.

Ruth 1:8 · KJV

The prayer

Written prayer

Dear Lord, Naomi recognised the sacrifice her daughter-in-laws made after her sons, their husbands, died. She was appreciative of all their support when they dealt with their deaths. Naomi wanted God to bless her daughter-in-laws so they could move on with their lives. She knew she had nothing to offer them as an old woman. She thought more about their happiness than she did about her own. She didn’t try to hold them back in order to have them comfort her loneliness, but released them to find their new lives again. Self sacrifice is admirable in your eyes. Wanting to make others a success, even at your own expense, is greatly rewarded in your kingdom. Teach me to be sensitive to the needs of others and how I can encourage them. As I pray for them, give me the wisdom to help release them into your will for their life. Give me the courage to let go of those I love if I am holding them back from their true destiny in you. It’s hard to release loved ones because we miss their comfort and support. Help me know when it is time to release them into the next season of their lives. Give me the grace to cause them to fly. I pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
