Today’s prayer
Written prayerLord, it seems the more I do for you the more I realize how indebted I am to you for the honor of serving you. It is only your profound grace that empowers me with the wisdom and courage to serve you. It is your holy spirit flowing through me that gives me the words to speak, and your heart of mercy that touches the needs of others through me. I am but dust and unworthy to receive such an honor of doing anything for you. What do I have to give back to you? In and of myself I have nothing of value to give to you or others except what you have first given me. All I have is a gift from you and belongs to you. You have poured forth your blessing upon me and are a fountain of goodness to me. Teach me to be a lavish giver and splash your blessing out to all those around me in order to refresh them. I take no credit for what I honor you with because it came from you and is not mine but yours. Help me remember that you have caused me to prosper and have generously blessed me in order to bless others. In Jesus name, amen.
