Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Good and Holy God, how lovely is Your dwelling place. My soul longs to rest inside Your presence. My heart yearns to be near the living God. As I lay my head to sleep tonight, give me a sense of what it truly means to be home. As the sparrow finds comfort in its nest, and the swallow finds peace in the trees, give me a sense of safety in You tonight. I want my strength and my satisfaction to be drawn from Your Spirit. There is nowhere else where I can truly feel at home. Blessed are those whose hearts are highways to Zion and those whose hearts will stop at nothing to be close to You. O Lord of hosts, hear my prayer and plea, make my home in Thee. I know You will not withhold goodness from me. As I sleep tonight, I pray for complete comfort.
