Today’s prayer
Written prayerHeavenly Father, I come to You tonight, humbled by Your sovereignty. I meditate on Your power, knowing that every knee will bow and confess that You are Lord. I invite Your presence to rest on me through the night. As I close my eyes, I imagine being on a boat in the middle of the sea. Though storms may rise against me, I find comfort knowing that You control the winds and the waves. I ask You to help me focus on You in the eye of the storm. Thank You for the times You have delivered and protected me in difficult situations. I thank You, in advance, for the ways You will continue to help me and be my refuge in the future. Sustain me through the night, and give me peace from trusting in Your sovereignty. In Jesus’ mighty and matchless name, I pray, Amen.
