Today’s prayer
Written prayerFather, I love how you love your children. You are such a good father and are always looking out for us and instructing us how to encourage each other in the faith. You said it is not good for man to be alone and we were not designed to live outside of the community. It is in community that we learn to love and instruct one another in the application of kingdom principles. Community teaches me how to extend grace to others. When someone is grieving over a lost loved one I can remind them of the gift we have been given of eternal life. I can let them know that their loved one is waiting for them in heaven and they will see them again. I can remind them that we are sojourners just passing through to our forever home in heaven. As I join together in praying for one another we lift each other up and share their burdens. What I have been given through Jesus Christ is more than anything I will ever have here in this life. We are to strengthen and comfort each other as one body in Christ. Help me to always give a word of encouragement and uplift my brothers and sisters that our joy might be full. For the joy of the lord is our strength. In Jesus name, amen.
