Today’s prayer
Written prayerFather, why is it that people are willing to pay for doctors, teachers, lawyers and even car mechanics but not those who share the gospel with them? A workman of any kind is worth his wages. Is there any comparison between the value of their services and those who minister the gospel? One reformed drug addict can save society thousands of dollars and promote peace in a family or community. One life saved is priceless and yet we honor the first responders as Heros for saving lives but not our missionaries. Those who have dedicated their life to serving God impart divine blessings, bring reconciliation with God, and lead people into the hope of salvation and eternity. Through the work of the gospel many are able to thank God for his generous provision and healing. Shouldn’t they give back to those who God has used to bless them? I thank you for caring for those who you send to care for others. I trust that you will open the hearts of those who receive your blessings to respond in kindness out of a generous heart of gratitude. Help me to always remember to bless those who bless me with their prayers and words of encouragement and never take them for granted. In Jesus name, amen.
