Today’s prayer
Written prayerHeavenly Father, let my thanksgiving be a natural overflow of a heart full of love for those you have placed in my care. I want my thanksgiving to be more than mere flattery to win the approval of others. I want it to be a public acknowledgment of your divine goodness. My God, you are the one who has tenderized my heart towards those surrounding me. My desire is for them to see your love and encouragement though me. You are the one who gives me the grace to see the best in them and my desire is to make them a success in your kingdom. They are your children, as we all are, and you are restoring the damage that has been done prior to knowing you. Teach me to be patient as I encourage others in their walk with you. Yes, they may need correction along the way but teach me to always do it out of love and not with angry judgment or frustration. Thank you father, that you are using them to teach me to grow even as you may be using me in their lives. Cause us to grow in love and thanksgiving as we serve you together. In Jesus name, amen.
