Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Father, thank you for making me in your image. You implanted your nature in me and gave me a conscience when you gave me life. There is a part in my heart of hearts that knows that true wisdom starts with reverencing and acknowledging your higher power and existence. And true understanding is turning away from evil in all its many forms – jealousy, pride, hatred, lying, murder, or any action or attitude that will destroy life. No amount of intelligence, no amount of cleverness, or of information, or of knowledge, or of worldly wisdom, will be of any avail. It is aligning with the power and truth of your word that gives true wisdom and discernment to recognize evil when it starts to infiltrate my thoughts or circumstances. Your ways are beyond my understanding but as I trust in your goodness and yield to your truth you will purify my heart and soul and I will see more clearly the deception the evil in this world wants to blind me with. You are the wisdom I need to succeed in life. Your wisdom will protect me from harm and help me avoid the snares and traps of the enemy. Your wisdom brings blessings, comfort, and peace. I bless your holy name, In Jesus name, amen.
