Today’s prayer
Written prayerLord, have I told you how much I love you today? You are the desire of my heart and my very life’s breath. I love you with all my heart and soul and every particle of my being. Help me embed your living word in my heart. Help it take root and become anchored in my belief system. It is not enough to spout memorized scriptures that come from my head. I want those scriptures to become life to me and live through me like they did in Jesus. He was the word in flesh form. Teach me to meditate on your word each day until it flows out of me like rivers of living water. The deeper your word is embedded in my heart the stronger my faith becomes and the more intimate our relationship becomes. When I see you in your word I rise above my own selfish ways and seek to be a conduit of your love. The more I devour your word the more my souI flourishes and the more I begin to look like you Lord. I pray others will see you in me and be drawn to your love. I pray all these things, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
