Today’s prayer
Written prayer"Lord, when I put on the full armor of God I realize it has no covering for my back. When we fight against powers and principalities in the spiritual realm we are never to turn our backs on our enemies the way Israel did. Lord, there are times when the giants of my circumstances seem to overwhelm me. I feel inadequate to overcome them and want to flee and run away. Stop me in my tracks Lord! I do not want to tarnish your name by being a coward and letting the enemy win.
Greater is he who is in me than he who is in the world. I need to believe that the enemy is already defeated by the work of Christ on the cross. Forgive me for being like Israel and giving into my fears rather than declaring the might of my sovereign Lord. I know you haven’t brought me this far in my life to let the enemy block me from entering into the fullness of your promises. Strengthen me for the battle lord; you made me for such a time as this. Help me stand in the might of your truth and run to the battle and watch you defeat all those the enemy sends to over take me. I will defeat them in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray all these things in the name of Jesus, Amen.
