Today’s prayer
Written prayerFather, sometimes there is such a pain in my heart when I see the distress in others all I can do is cry out for your mercy on them. Moses cried out when he saw his sister's leprous skin as a result of her speaking against him, causing your anger. Moses showed his love for his sister even though she murmured against him. He begged the Lord to heal her. The Lord loved Moses and because of his heartfelt intercession, the Lord showed her mercy and healed her. Help me be like Moses Lord. Don’t let me take secret satisfaction when someone who has hurt me falls into trouble. Help me be gracious enough to show them mercy and pray for your divine intervention to help them and relieve their distress. Lord, I repent of my selfish desire to seek revenge or retribution on those who have wounded me. Give me your eyes to see past the incident into the heart of their insecurities and pain. Help me become as generous and kind as Moses was to those who spoke against him. Thank you Lord, that you hear my prayers and respond to my cries, in Jesus name, amen.
