Today’s prayer

Written prayer

Lord, you are a precise God of order. You sent Moses and Aaron out to take a census of all those twenty years and older who were able to serve in Israel’s army. You know us all by name and have a designated place where we each fit - where we can best serve you. Show me where you want me to serve you Lord. I want to serve in your vast army of believers and fight alongside my brothers and sisters. I want to serve my commander and chief and watch as you pull down the strongholds of the enemy and set the captives free. I want to hear the sound of the iron chains breaking as the prisoners sing your praises. You know where you designed me to serve you best. Will I be a medic and heal the broken hearted? Or a cook who feeds the hungry souls the bread of life? Or maybe a general who trains the young recruits to serve with honor and dignity? Wherever you place me will be where you can use me best. You prepared me for this place in your service and it is where my gifts are most needed. Show me where you want me Lord and let me content in how you want to use me. No matter where I serve it is always an honor, in Jesus name, Amen.
