Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Lord, I don’t fully understand how powerful the spiritual world is. It boggles my mind how one man, Adam, could be disobedient and cause the fall of all humanity. Disobedience has powerful consequences. More damaging than I ever imagined. Forgive me Lord, for trivializing sin in my life. I am good at making excuses and minimizing my sins. I am sure Adam did the same thing. He blamed Eve and She blamed the serpent. No one took any responsibility for their choices. You have given us free will to choose how we want to live. You have even told us ‘if you love me you will keep my commandments,’ if you don’t you are free to make your own choices but you will reap the consequences of those choices. That is why in Deuteronomy we have two chapters, one on what brings blessings and one on what brings curses into my life. Help me make choices that are good and in alignment with your word. As I seek you in all my decisions you will give me the wisdom I need to make the right choice. I want to always live under the fountain of your blessings. I pray these things in the name of Jesus, Amen.
