Global Prayer on Judges 2:4

And it came to pass, when the angel of the LORD spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.

Today’s prayer

Written prayer

Lord, show me when I am drifting too far from you. Help me understand how to self correct before you have to step in and correct me. I know there are consequences to every action I take or don’t take. If I take actions in alignment with your word, your reward and blessings will follow me. If I align with evil and falsehoods the consequences can be devastating. When you step in to correct us, like you did with Israel, there are cries of weeping and repentance. Keep me mindful of my choices and their consequences. Even if no one else sees what I am doing you do and you are the only one who matters. I want to keep my heart clean before you. Every night I humble myself and ask you to forgive me for where I fell short during the day. Sometimes it’s as simple as an attitude adjustment for being short and curt with people and hurting their feelings. Give me the courage to make amends wherever it is necessary. Keep me in the flow of your love. Don’t let me grow stagnant or rebellious until you have to pull me back from the fire and confront me with my sin. Thank you for looking out for me and causing me to grow in your grace, truth and love. I pray all these things in the name of Jesus, Amen.
