Near the Broken Hearted

Near the Broken Hearted

In today's episode of The Daily Pursuit, hosted by Tim Tebow, we sit with Psalm 34:18 and David's declaration — written while faking madness to escape an enemy king, as low as a person can go — that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit, a promise that God doesn't require us to have it together before He draws close. Tim encourages listeners who are hurting today not to wait until they feel better to approach God, but to open Psalm 34 and read it aloud or call a trusted friend and let them pray, because broken doesn't mean abandoned.
