Moved With Compassion

October 28, 2026 · 3 min

In today's episode of The Daily Pursuit, hosted by Tim Tebow, we look at Matthew 9:36 and the Greek word for compassion that Matthew uses — rooted in the word for gut or inward parts — describing how Jesus was moved from his deepest place when he saw the crowds harassed and helpless, not with polite sympathy from a distance but with the kind of care that immediately became action. Tim challenges listeners to name one person they already know who needs compassion and do one real thing — send the text, make the call, knock on the door — because compassion that stays a feeling doesn't reach anybody. If you’re looking to deepen your faith through daily Scripture, guided prayer, and moments of quiet reflection, we invite you to explore more on the Pray.com app. Join Tim Tebow as he helps you pursue God’s Word each day and discover additional resources designed to strengthen your walk with Christ.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
