Has it been thinking more about what you're thinking about? Have you found yourself not really caring and still doing the same thing? Maybe you are trying to make changes, but flustered with the success up until now. Life is unfair. Yet life is beautiful. Life is full of joy, but it's also destructible. How can you go from one extreme to the other—from a win to a loss, a victory to a setback, or success to failure? If you want to see the wins and losses as equals, break the cycle! The K.I.S.S. ~ Break the cycle! A basketball player can draw valuable lessons from both wins and losses on the court, just as individuals can learn from success and setbacks in life. Here's how they compare: 1. Win - Celebrate and Learn: - In Basketball: Celebrate victories, acknowledge hard work and teamwork that led to success, and analyze what worked well to replicate in future games. - In Life: Similarly, celebrate personal achievements, recognize efforts that contributed to success, and extract lessons to apply to future endeavors. 2. Lose - Reflect and Improve: - In Basketball: Reflect on the reasons for the loss, identify areas of improvement, learn from mistakes, and use the defeat as motivation to train harder for the next game. - In Life: Reflect on failures, analyze what went wrong, identify opportunities for growth and self-improvement, and use setbacks as a comeback—stepping stones towards future success. 3. Humbling Experiences (Humility): - In Basketball: A loss can humble a player, reminding them of the importance of resilience, perseverance, and continuous self-improvement to bounce back stronger. - In Life: Adversity in life similarly serves as a humbling experience, fostering resilience, empathy, and a growth mindset to navigate through challenges with grit and determination. 4. Character Building: - In Basketball: Wins and losses mold a player's character, shaping attributes like sportsmanship, leadership, and mental toughness that are essential on and off the court. - In Life: Successes and failures contribute to personal growth, fortifying characteristics such as resilience, adaptability, and determination that are vital for navigating life's highs and lows. 5. Perseverance and Resilience: - In Basketball: Facing ups and downs in games instills perseverance and resilience in players, teaching them to push through challenges and setbacks with unwavering determination. - In Life: Overcoming obstacles builds a foundation of resilience, teaching individuals to stay strong, adapt, and persist in the face of adversity to achieve their goals and aspirations. Whether you're playing on the court or dribbling between your items on the to-do list, you can cultivate a mindset of continuous growth, adaptability, and determination in pursuing personal and professional success. - 8423360 The Heart of Faithful LivingObedience is a foundational principle in the life of a believer, reflecting our reverence for God and our willingness to align our actions with His will. As we navigate the complexities of daily living, be sure you have the heart of faithful living. It's essential to explore the ways in which we can honor God through our obedience. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co Most of the time, we are doing our own thing, fighting our own battles with our to-do lists. And how far has that gotten you? When you look at scripture, it is full of guidance on obedience, emphasizing its importance in our relationship with God. John 14:15 ~ "If you love me, keep my commands." This clear directive from Jesus underscores the connection between our love for God and our obedience to His word, which is to Him! Obeying God involves more than just following a set of rules; it requires a heart fully surrendered to His guidance. 1 Samuel 15:22 ~ "To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams." This passage highlights the significance of our obedience as an expression of our deep-seated faith and devotion to God. The K.I.S.S. ~ The heart of faithful living! Practicing obedience means aligning your will with God's divine plan, even when it contradicts your desires or understanding. Proverbs 3:6 urges us to "in all your ways acknowledge Him," emphasizing the importance of trusting God's wisdom and guidance in every aspect of our lives. Walking in obedience is a continual journey of faith, requiring humility, perseverance, and a willingness to surrender our own desires for the sake of God's greater purpose. 1 John 5:3 ~ "In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome." This reassures us that obedience stems from a heart filled with love and reverence for God, making His commands a joy to follow. In the tapestry of our faith, obedience forms the thread that weaves our lives into a beautiful testimony of God's grace and guidance. As believers, our obedience is not a rigid adherence to rules but a vibrant expression of our love for the One who first loved us. Let our actions, our words, and our choices be a symphony of obedience to the God who calls us His own. So, let us approach obedience with humility, reverence, and gratitude, allowing it to shape our character and draw us closer to the heart of our Heavenly Father. May our lives be a living testimony of obedience, reflecting the transformative power of faith in action. "Be present. Be incredible. - 8433359 How Do You Handle Jealousy in Your Marriage?Navigating jealousy in your marriage when your spouse feels neglected and seeks more attention can be a delicate balancing act. How do you handle jealousy in your marriage? While jealousy is a common experience in relationships, couples can conquer this challenge through empathy, effective communication, and a willingness to understand each other's needs. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co Leslie Vernick, a renowned marriage counselor, emphasizes the importance of addressing jealousy in a healthy way. She says, "Jealousy in a marriage stems from insecurities and unmet needs. It's crucial to communicate openly and empathetically to build trust and mutual understanding." Have you ever experienced jealousy in your marriage? Sometimes jealousy rears its head in unexpected ways, such as feeling envious of the attention your spouse gives to others or even to your children. If you want to get to the bottom of jealousy, ask curious questions. The K.I.S.S. ~ Ask curious questions! When you want to be curious, then it's going to take courage to say something. There is a link between the words "curious" and "courage." Both words stem from the Latin word "cor," which means heart. "Curious" originally meant eager to know, and it can take courage to delve into the unknown or to seek answers to questions. Similarly, "courage" refers to the ability to face difficulties and challenges with bravery, which often requires a curious and open mindset to explore new possibilities and overcome fears. In essence, curiosity can fuel the courage needed to step into the unknown and grow personally and professionally. To handle jealousy effectively, consider the following strategies: 1. Communicate openly and honestly: You can do this by asking questions that put things in perspective. Expressing your feelings of jealousy to your partner can help them understand your perspective. Talk about your insecurities and fears in a non-confrontational manner to foster a supportive environment for mutual growth and understanding. 2. Establish boundaries and reassurance: Setting clear boundaries in your marriage can help alleviate jealousy triggers. Reassure your spouse of your commitment and love regularly, reinforcing the emotional connection and trust between you both. Come at it with an empathetic ear. This will open the possibility of your spouse hearing what is happening. Be compassionate and kind for your spouse's 3. Self-reflect to check where you are: If jealousy in your marriage becomes overwhelming or leads to constant conflicts, don't hesitate to seek support from a counselor or therapist. Professional guidance can offer valuable insights and tools to navigate through challenging emotions. You can get support with groups, journaling, coach, therapist. This will give you the opportunity to self-reflect and a place to land when you are trying to figure things out. Kristianne Wargo aptly points out, "Jealousy can make one feel like an object, rather than a cherished partner. Addressing it promptly and constructively is essential to nurture a healthy, loving relationship." Remember, a sprinkle of jealousy is normal in relationships, but when left unchecked, it can turn toxic. By fostering open communication, setting boundaries, and seeking assistance when needed, couples can strengthen their bond and conquer jealousy together. "Be present. Be incredible. - 8443358 Check The Chaos At The DoorIn the whirlwind of modern family life, finding balance can feel like an elusive dream. Between work demands, school schedules, extracurricular activities, and personal commitments, you must check the chaos at the door. Because, with a little intentionality and some strategic planning, it is possible to create a harmonious family dynamic where everyone finds their space in the middle of competing demands. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co "Finding balance as a family is like constructing a beautiful mosaic - each unique piece comes together to create a masterpiece of harmony." - Kristianne Wargo What does your family look like today? Are things calm, or is it more of a roller coaster of feelings with everyone walking on eggshells? The K.I.S.S. ~ Check the chaos at the door! Balancing competing demands and finding harmony as a family can be challenging, but here are some strategies to help: 1. Establish Priorities: Identify what matters most to your family and allocate time and attention accordingly. As author Stephen Covey once said, "The key is not to prioritize what's on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities." 2. Set Boundaries: Establish boundaries for work, school, and personal time to ensure each family member gets the attention they need. 3. Communicate Openly: Regular family meetings can help address concerns, share schedules, and ensure everyone's needs are considered. Family therapist Virginia Satir remarked, "We need 4 hugs a day for survival. We need 8 hugs a day for maintenance. We need 12 hugs a day for growth." 4. Quality Time: Make the most of your time together by engaging in meaningful activities and creating lasting memories. Dr. Seuss poignantly captured the essence of quality time with family, "Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory." 5. Self-Care: Encourage each family member to prioritize self-care activities that rejuvenate and re-energize them. You know how the flight attendant says, "Put on your oxygen mask first before assisting others." Taking care of yourself allows you to better care for your loved ones. 6. Delegate Responsibility: Distribute household chores and responsibilities among family members to lighten the load and promote teamwork. 7. Tech-Free Time: Designate periods without screens to focus on connecting and bonding as a family without distractions. 8. Flexibility: Be adaptable and willing to adjust schedules and plans as needed to accommodate unforeseen circumstances or individual needs. American film producer, screenwriter, and actor Michael Arndt noted, "Be so good they can't ignore you." Adaptability in the face of change helps to maintain equilibrium within the family. 9. Support System: Lean on extended family, friends, or support groups for assistance and guidance during busy or challenging times. Renowned educator and author Maria Montessori emphasized the importance of community support, "The greatest sign of success for a teacher... is to be able to say, 'The children are now working as if I did not exist.'" 10. Celebrate Achievements: Acknowledge and celebrate each other's accomplishments, no matter how big or small, to foster a positive and supportive family dynamic. In the intricate tapestry of family dynamics, each thread plays a crucial role in weaving together a harmonious and colorful life. Remember, finding your calm center amidst the chaos is not about achieving perfection, it's not about things being all in there place and everyone happy. But more about embracing the journey and the growth that comes with it. When you are part of a family, you will be changed. So check the chaos at the door and invite harmony to take its place in the heart of your family. "Be present. Be incredible. Here are some tips on how to spring clean your diet, eat to the season, save money, and a delicious recipe to enjoy guilt-free. 1. Incorporate Seasonal Produce: Opt for fresh fruits and vegetables that are in season during spring, such as strawberries, asparagus, leafy greens, and peas. Eating to the Season: - Choose seasonal fruits and vegetables like strawberries, asparagus, arugula, and peas. - Incorporate fresh herbs like mint, basil, and cilantro for added flavor. - Opt for lighter meals with salads, smoothies, and grilled dishes to align with the brighter days and warmer weather. 2. Meal Prep and Plan Ahead: Spend some time planning your meals for the week, including snacks and lunches. By prepping ingredients and having healthy meals ready to go, you can avoid making impulsive, less nutritious food choices. This will also help reduce food waste and save time during busy weekdays. Saving Money While Eating Healthy: - Shop at local farmer's markets for fresh, affordable produce. - Buy in bulk and freeze or preserve seasonal fruits and veggies for later use. - Plan meals ahead to avoid food waste and unnecessary spending. 3. Hydrate with Infused Water: Stay hydrated by infusing your water with fresh fruits, herbs, and vegetables like sliced cucumbers, mint leaves, or berries. This adds natural flavor without extra sugars or calories, making it a refreshing and healthier alternative to sugary beverages. Proper hydration is essential for overall well-being and supports a healthy metabolism. **Spring Recipe: Lemon Berry Chia Pudding** - Ingredients: 1/4 cup chia seeds 1 cup almond milk 1 tsp lemon zest Mixed berries for topping - Directions: 1. - 8473355 Break Away From The PastAs you stand at the crossroads of familiarity and change, remember that the journey towards something different is not just about reaching a destination but about the transformation. Break away from the past. A quarter of our year is gone. Many of us find ourselves longing for something more, something different than the familiar tunes and routines that have defined the first few months. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co We've got that stirring within us. That desire beckoning us to explore uncharted territories and break away from the past. Transitioning from the comfort of what you know to the uncertainty of what could be is a journey fraught with both trepidation and excitement. As author C. JoyBell C. once said, "There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." This untold story, this yearning for something different, is a whisper from your soul, the nudge in your gut, urging you to step out of your comfort zone and embrace the unknown. It is in these moments of reflection that you find the courage to take a leap of faith, to pursue a path that may be unconventional yet ultimately fulfilling. As Kristianne Wargo wisely puts it, "Embrace the unknown, for it is in the journey towards the unfamiliar that we discover our true selves." Embracing change, even when it appears daunting and overwhelming, opens doors to new possibilities and opportunities you may have never considered before. The K.I.S.S. ~ Break away from the past! To inspire oneself to move in a different direction requires a deep sense of self-awareness and a willingness to let go of preconceived notions of what our lives should look like. And a lot of that comes from our past. If we are going to elevate where we are headed, then it demands that we listen to the whispers of our hearts and trust in our intuition to guide us toward the path we are meant to tread. Who you are becoming. Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!! "This isn't about living in the past. This is being present in the presence of today to create your now." ~ Kristianne Wargo The only constant in life is change. Embracing change is not about erasing the past, but about acknowledging its presence while paving the way for a brighter, more fulfilling future. What would happen if you honored yourself by breaking away from the past, meaning letting it go, and moving into what is happening in the NOW? In the midst of uncertainty, remember these words of wisdom from American poet Robert Frost: "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I – I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." Choosing to forge a new path, to embrace the unfamiliar, may be intimidating, but it is in this boldness that you find freedom and truth. You get to become who you are becoming! As you stand at the crossroads of familiarity and change, remember that the journey toward something different is not just about reaching a destination but about the transformation that occurs along the way. What's old may indeed become new again, but it is in the exploration of the uncharted that we discover the depth of your greatness. - 8493353 A Living Hope"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy, he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." ~ 1 Peter 1:3 Here comes our hope. He is risen. He is risen indeed. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co With Christians around the world, we rejoice together in Jesus Christ's resurrection, which symbolizes the ultimate act of sacrifice and is a beacon of hope for all. Today and every day, we reflect on the profound significance of this event and find comfort in the promise of redemption and renewal. The essence of Easter is a celebration of new beginnings, eternal hope, and boundless grace. The K.I.S.S. ~ Here comes our hope- a living hope! In times of uncertainty and turmoil, it is easy to lose sight of the light at the end of the tunnel. However, the resurrection of Jesus serves as a poignant reminder that even in our darkest hours, there is always hope. Romans 15:13 reminds us, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. Here comes our hope- a living hope! As we meditate on the significance of Easter, let us embrace the profound love and sacrifice that God has bestowed upon us. "In the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we find not only hope but a sacrificial love that surpasses all understanding." ~ Kristianne Wargo Let us walk in the light of this eternal hope and allow it to guide us through life's trials and tribulations. When you do that, your joy will overflow. You will celebrate Easter every day. If you want me to be honest, that is my desire for you- you celebrating Easter every day. That's when you are content with whose you are and the love He has for you. It's not about what the world has to offer or the pattern of the world, it's knowing that you are a beloved child of God. That's where your joy comes from, not dictated by your circumstances or situations. Look at the God's picture...Walk in Jesus Christ's overflow of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. He is risen. He is risen indeed. - 8503352 The Power of ForgivenessForgiveness is a profound act that has the capacity to redefine and elevate marriages to new heights of understanding and compassion. The power of forgiveness is truly a transformative act that cultivates harmony. If you use forgiveness in your marriage, it can strengthen bonds and mend wounds. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co The act of forgiving not only heals wounds but also cultivates a deeper connection between a couple, fostering a sense of renewal and grace. It's this energy that keeps engaging the heart to expand wider and deeper. As Kristianne Wargo wisely said, "Forgiveness changes you! You can't forgive and not be changed yourself." When you are considering forgiveness, you must look at the resentment meter. Resentment is a complex emotion that arises from feelings of unfairness, bitterness, or anger towards someone, often stemming from past grievances or perceived injustices. It can slowly erode a marriage and create barriers to communication and emotional intimacy. Letting go of resentment is crucial for healing and restoring harmony in marriage. And that's all in the process of forgiveness. "If you forgive, resentment can't be borrowed." ~ Kristianne Wargo You can't go to your heart and withdraw resentment. It won't exist because you forgave. Now, as you may know, this week is Holy Week. And today, we are in between the stage of the crucifixion and the resurrection. And so I want to take a more direct approach to challenge our thinking on how we can understand the depth of forgiveness and why it's so powerful in marriage. The concept of forgiveness in the context of Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross for our sins holds profound parallels to marriage and sacrificial love. Just as Christ demonstrated the ultimate act of forgiveness and sacrificial love through His crucifixion and resurrection, couples can draw inspiration from His example to cultivate forgiveness and selfless love within their marital relationships. And if you are going to do this, you've gotta ready your heart God's way. The K.I.S.S. ~ Ready your heart God's Way! 1. Unconditional Love: Just as Jesus showed limitless love and forgiveness towards humanity by sacrificing Himself for our sins, you can aspire to embody a similar spirit of unconditional love in your marriage. Sacrificial love entails putting aside personal desires and ego-driven needs to prioritize the well-being and happiness of one's sweetheart. You can nurture a deep and enduring bond built on grace, compassion, and empathy by choosing to forgive readily and love sacrificially. 2. Redemption and Renewal: The resurrection of Jesus symbolizes the victory over sin and death, offering a path to redemption and spiritual renewal for all believers. In a marital context, forgiveness serves as a catalyst for redemption and transformation within the relationship. By extending forgiveness and seeking reconciliation, you both can experience a renewal of trust, harmony, and intimacy, allowing for growth and healing to take place. This process of renewal through forgiveness paves the way for a strengthened and revitalized marriage. "Forgiveness changes you! You can't forgive and not be changed yourself." ~ Kristianne Wargo 3. Servant Leadership: Jesus didn't come to earth to be served, but to serve! He exemplified servant leadership through His acts of compassion, humility, and sacrifice, setting a model for believers to follow in their interactions with others. In marriage, practicing forgiveness and sacrificial love involves adopting a servant-hearted approach towards one's spouse. By seeking to serve rather than be served, spouses can create a culture of mutual respect, support, and understanding within their relationship. Can you imagine how different marriages would be if you married to serve instead of expecting to be served? Through acts of selflessness and forgiveness, you can emulate Christ's example of servant leadership and cultivate a harmonious and fulfilling marriage centered on sacrificial love. In essence, the power of forgiveness in the context of Jesus Christ's sacrifice and resurrection underscores the transformative impact of forgiveness, sacrificial love, and redemption in marriage. By drawing parallels between Christ's example of forgiveness and sacrificial love and applying these principles to your marriage, you, as a couple, can create a deep sense of compassion, grace, and unity, building a bond that reflects the divine love and forgiveness demonstrated through Christ's sacrifice on the cross. - 8513351 Frustration Is Not The EnemyChange is a constant thread that weaves through every story in the tapestry of life. However, change doesn't always appear beneficial on the surface. Don't get frustrated—frustration is not the enemy. Life doesn't have to be all crazy and chaotic. Yes, there are times when CRAP is thrown at you, and it's all you can do to stay afloat. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co But don't jump ship! Don't let your feelings and emotions get the best of you. As you know, today is Good Friday. Good Friday signifies an end of what was of the world with the hope of sending His Son, Jesus Christ, who walked the earth and then was crucified on the cross for our sins so that we might be saved. I can only imagine what God saw when the world He created was in turmoil. What He created as beauty turned to ashes. Yet, God is God, and He made a way for good to shine through the bad. Good Friday signifies an end to making way for new beginnings. a newfound hope. You see, parenthood mirrors this cycle; you lose what was familiar to you, yet excited for the birth of something new. Kids change you, and they change your reality. Just as God's sending of His Son transformed the world, raising children transforms parents. How can we harness the frustrations that accompany change and the unknown adventure ahead, and put the emphasis on what is good and holy? You gotta focus on what is good and holy. The K.I.S.S. ~ Focus on what is good and holy! That's hard to do. You work hard, have long days, and then are expected to come home and raise your kids with smiles on your faces. As my grandson says to me, "I've had a hard day!" This is echoed with a long sigh. Where do you think he hears that? His dad and mom. It's imperative that we raise our kids with grace, not only for them but for ourselves. And being realistic in what we can do, and know we are doing it to the best of our ability. Focus on what is good and holy. How can you be the mama or dada who holds their child close with their heart in mind? 1. Practice Patience: In moments of frustration, choose patience. Understand that change takes time and that growth often comes from navigating challenges with resilience. Allow yourself grace in the process, recognizing that transformation is gradual. 2. Cultivate Gratitude: Amidst the chaos of parenting, pause to count your blessings. Gratitude shifts your focus from what you lack to what you have, fostering a mindset of abundance. By appreciating the small moments of joy, you magnify the beauty of life's journey. Don't always look at the ashes; see the beauty in the ashes. 3. Seek Support: Parenthood is a shared experience. Reach out to fellow parents, mentors, or faith communities for guidance and comfort. Building a support network equips you with the tools to navigate the complexities of raising children while fostering a sense of community. Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV): "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." "Life is beautiful. Life is hard. Life is manageable when you see the blessings in the messes." - Kristianne Wargo God gave that to us. As we journey through the ebb and flow of life, let us not view frustration as an obstacle but as an opportunity for growth. By embracing change with patience, gratitude, and support, you become a living legacy that transcends generations. Just as Good Friday heralded a new dawn, let us approach parenthood with a sense of purpose, knowing that our actions today shape the future for our children tomorrow. "Be present. Be incredible. So let's take our Thought Madness a little further and impose the Thought Clock, a shot clock for your thoughts to keep your game of life moving in the right direction. 1. Prevent Stalling - Don't run out your time on kicking your negative thoughts to the curb. It's time those negative thoughts are put in their place, allowing for more skillful and intentional thoughts to shine through, the positive ones that are a gamechanger. When you prevent stalling, you can move faster than the negative thoughts. 2. Promote Fairness - Unfortunately, negative thoughts always have the upper hand. This changes when you have the Thought Clock. Imagine if you gave as much time to positive thoughts as you do negative thoughts, how would that influence the outcome? This element of fairness gives you permission to shut down what isn't working for you. Go back and look at your Thought Madness Bracket. Which teams of thoughts are ahead? Hopefully, you are giving yourself a chance to walk your miles of greatness by more positive thoughts winning. Kristianne Wargo beautifully puts it, "Your thoughts are the seeds you plant in the garden of your mind – choose wisely." As basketball coach Phil Jackson once said, "The mind is the most important muscle in the body. It's not about what you can do, but what your mind allows you to do." 3. Increase Action - Take A.I.M.! Action ignites motivation! ~ Kristianne Wargo It's all about offensive skill, taking shots within a reasonable amount of time. You have got to silence the thoughts that weigh you down and reframe the thoughts that are in hiding. If you don't use the skills you have, the talents and gifts you possess, how will that help you in the game of life. Get back on the court and decide that great things are possible. As renowned basketball player Michael Jordan said, "You must expect great things of yourself before you can do them." You must challenge yourself to be a participant in your thoughts. If you want to be ALL IN in the game of your life, you have got to use the Thought Clock, it's like the shot clock. Did you know the shot clock is a fundamental rule in basketball that enhances the competitiveness and excitement of the sport by promoting active gameplay, preventing stalling tactics, and ensuring a fair and dynamic playing field. "Don't let your season end with negative thoughts. Fight for you!" ~ Kristianne Wargo Your thoughts can be powerful allies or formidable opponents. Who do you want to win every day? Take your thoughts captive. Remember, as Kristianne Wargo reminds us, "Your thoughts create your now – choose them wisely." "Be present. Be incredible. - 8563346 A Blessing in DisguiseAs Jesus Christ entered Jerusalem on that fateful day amidst cries of "Hosanna in the highest," He did so with a profound understanding of what lay ahead. Triumphs to tribulations; a blessing in disguise for you and me. Despite the jubilant reception and praises of the crowd, Jesus knew that within the walls of the city, betrayal, suffering, and the ultimate sacrifice awaited Him. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co While filled with adoration, these accolades could not shield Jesus from the imminent trial of his faith and the fulfillment of his ultimate purpose. With unwavering resolve and unwavering faith, Jesus moved forward, embracing his destiny even as it led him to the city where he would be betrayed by one of his own. His entry into Jerusalem symbolized the paradox of triumph and tribulation, as the cries of "Hosanna" mingled with the shadows of the cross that awaited Him. Do you ever feel like you have reached the pinnacle, only to find a deeper plunge into the unknown on the other side? The K.I.S.S. ~ A blessing in disguise! Life has a way of twisting and turning, from trials and tribulations to triumphs. And then, it repeats itself again. However, the key I noticed was that Jesus had faith. He knew His purpose and was more than willing to follow through. Would you be willing to do the same? Are you willing to do the same? In the face of impending betrayal, Jesus' courage and conviction shone brightly, illuminating the path for all who would follow. His journey into Jerusalem serves as a poignant reminder that true strength lies not in avoiding adversity, but in facing it head-on with steadfast faith and unwavering purpose. As we contemplate Jesus's entry into the city where betrayal awaited Him, let us be inspired by his example of enduring faith and sacrificial love. May we carry the spirit of "Hosanna in the highest" in our hearts, acknowledging that even in the darkest moments, the light of redemption and salvation shines brightest. "Be present. Be incredible. - 8573345 Stop the Madness in Your MarriageSo long as your past is in the past, you can be present in your marriage. However, many couples struggle because the past is still present. You must stop the madness in your marriage if you want to live happily ever after. The lingering remnants of our past can cast a long shadow over the present, shaping our relationships in unexpected ways. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co Unaddressed traumas, unresolved conflicts, and buried emotions can morph into a looming Mount Everest. As Kristianne Wargo wisely puts it, "The trash of your past needs to be taken out or it becomes an overwhelming mountain of C.R.A.P. It stinks, it smells, it shackles the heart." In order to break free from the chains of the past and pave the way for a thriving marriage, it is imperative to confront the buried burdens head-on. The K.I.S.S. ~ Confront the buried burdens head-on! If you choose to hide from the past, it will haunt you down and destroy your marriage. Put on your big girl panties! I know you have the courage to face your past. I understand it won't be easy and you might even uncover some things you didn't think was a big deal. But the key is to know and understand to the best of your ability, so you can move forward with confidence that your past is simply that-- your past! Here are three actionable steps that spouses can take to navigate the complexities of their past and cultivate a healthier present for their marriage: 1. Acknowledge and Accept the Past Self-awareness serves as the first step towards healing. Recognize the impact of past traumas, generational patterns, and unresolved conflicts on your present behavior and relationships. You can't heal what you don't acknowledge. Stop using the excuse of not knowing, and learn what has been holding you back in your past. By confronting those shadows with honesty and vulnerability, you make a way to reach the freedom to love deeper. 2. Break the Old Patterns A lot of what we carry with us comes from our past experiences, which are fueled by generational patterns. Our parents and grandparents and everyone in between have an influence on how we lead our lives. However, there comes a point in life where we have to look at what is good for us as an individual and then as a couple. By breaking free from the cycle of generational sins, you create space for personal growth and relational harmony. Author Haruki Murakami, "If you can't understand it without an explanation, you can't understand it with an explanation." In other words, just because it made sense in the past doesn't mean it is right for you in the present. 3. Forgive to Let Go Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself first. When you forgive, you are giving away what is burying your heart deep in the dungeon of despair. And then, it's that forgiveness that sweeps away the dust bunnies in the nooks and crannies that steals away your courage to heal from the hurts. You can heal, but you have to forgive to let go! As Kristianne Wargo aptly states, "At some point, you have to face your past so you can be present today." CHALLENGE: How have you dealt with your past? Or have you? By embarking on this journey of self-discovery, forgiveness, and growth, spouses can unravel the shackles of the past and forge a path toward a more resilient and genuine marriage. In the timeless words of Maya Angelou, "History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived, but if faced with courage, need not be lived again." Some things need not be repeated; they must be left in the past and dealt with. Stop the madness in your marriage! "Be present. Be incredible. - 8583344 Your Words Carry WeightTrust and respect are built not only on our actions but also on our verbal interactions with our children. Parents, your words carry weight. Every word you utter shapes your child's perceptions and self-esteem. Mom (and Dad)-- your words hold immense power! Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co In moments of frustration or inattention, we may inadvertently speak words that hurt rather than heal. It's crucial to be mindful of the language we use with our children. So let me ask you-- how do you speak to your child? What words do you find yourself repeating? In what circumstances do you use certain words? "Do not underestimate the impact your words have on your child's emotional well-being," says Child Psychologist, Dr. Sarah Johnson. "Words have the power to build or break a child's self-esteem and confidence." If you want to build your child up, build a foundation of trustworthy words. The K.I.S.S. ~ Build a foundation of trustworthy words! Consider your words seeds that will bloom and blossom when given the right fertilizer, the circumstances in which they are used. In order to foster positive communication with our children, here are three steps parents can take to improve their language: 1. Practice Active Listening: Instead of simply issuing commands or criticisms, take the time to actively listen to your child's thoughts and feelings. Ask open-ended questions to encourage dialogue and show genuine interest in their responses. For example, instead of saying, "Clean your room now!" try asking, "How was your day? What made you feel happy or sad today?" Parenting coach, Emma Roberts emphasizes, "Active listening conveys respect for your child's perspective and fosters a sense of understanding and empathy." 2. Use Positive Affirmations: Incorporate positive affirmations into your daily interactions with your child. Offer words of encouragement and praise for their efforts and achievements. Instead of focusing on shortcomings, highlight their strengths and potential. For instance, say, "I am proud of how hard you worked on that project" or "You are so creative and thoughtful." Parenting author, Mark Smith shares, "Positive affirmations help nurture a child's self-confidence and motivate them to strive for success." 3. Practice Patience and Empathy: In moments of frustration or anger, take a pause before responding to your child. Consider their feelings and perspective before reacting impulsively. Show empathy by acknowledging their emotions and validating their experience. Instead of dismissing their concerns, offer comforting words and reassurance. For example, say, "I understand that you are upset. Let's talk about why you feel that way." Parenting educator, Maria Garcia advocates, "Practicing patience and empathy creates a safe and supportive environment for your child to express themselves openly." Kristianne Wargo aptly says, "Our words shape our children's world. Let's choose them wisely and kindly." Remember, the way we speak to our children can have a lasting impact on their self-esteem and emotional well-being. Let's strive to choose our words thoughtfully and nurture a positive and trusting relationship with our little ones. "Be present. Be incredible. - 8593343 Roll Up Your SleevesAre you tired of constantly pushing tasks to the back burner? Overwhelmed by the mountain of work staring you in the face? That project you keep delaying, that dream you haven't pursued – they won't accomplish themselves. It's up to you to take the first step. Procrastination often stems from fear of failure or perfectionism. However, as author and researcher Brené Brown advises, "What we know matters, but who we are matters more." It's not about getting everything right the first time; it's about showing up and putting in the effort. Now is the time to heed the advice of motivational speaker Les Brown, who famously said, "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars." Remember, as American author Napoleon Hill once said, "The starting point of all achievement is desire." What do you desire? What are you willing to work for? The answers lie within you. It's time to seize the day, to embrace the tasks in front of you with confidence and determination. Don't let procrastination rob you of your potential. - 8603342 Live in FreedomToo often, we set ourselves up for failure regarding healthy living. We think it's all-or-nothing. We put off what matters today to get a second chance tomorrow. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? The K.I.S.S. ~ Eradicate the all-or-nothing attitude! The key is to live in freedom. Boundaries are one thing, but rigidity is something else. Here are three simple strategies to eradicate the struggles of the all-or-nothing mentality and cultivate a mindset of freedom in your healthy living journey: 1. Embrace Mindful Eating: Instead of rigid diet plans or strict meal restrictions, focus on practicing mindful eating. Allow yourself to fully enjoy and savor each bite of your meals, paying attention to your body's hunger and fullness cues. As health coach Megan Roosevelt wisely said, "Eating mindfully is about listening to your body, nourishing yourself, and enjoying the experience of eating without judgment." 2. Prioritize Movement You Love: Exercise shouldn't feel like a punishment or obligation. Find physical activities that bring you joy and make you feel good. Whether it's dancing, hiking, or practicing yoga, moving your body in ways that you genuinely enjoy can lead to sustainable habits. As fitness expert Gabby Reece said, "Movement is a celebration of what your body can do, not a punishment for what you ate." 3. Practice Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself on your journey to a healthy lifestyle. Remember that progress is not always linear, and setbacks are a natural part of growth. Offer yourself the same compassion and encouragement you would give a friend facing a challenge. As Kristianne Wargo astutely said, "In the pursuit of wellness, remember to be kind to yourself. Progress is progress, no matter how small." By incorporating these strategies into your daily routine, you can break free from the all-or-nothing mentality and embrace a lifestyle of freedom and balance. - 8623340 How to Handle Your ThoughtsIn the game of life, learning how to handle your thoughts can resemble a wild jump ball - chaotic, unpredictable, and up for grabs. Just like in basketball, controlling the jump ball of thoughts is essential to stay focused on your goals. Thought Madness Bracket:Click here to get your bracket! Controlling your thoughts is not just a matter of mental discipline; it is a crucial factor in determining the trajectory of your life. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co Our thoughts shape our beliefs, attitudes, and actions, ultimately influencing the outcomes we manifest. Just as a basketball player's mindset can impact their performance on the court, your thoughts have the power to propel you towards success or hold you back from achieving your dreams. When your thoughts are scattered and unfocused, like a loose ball bouncing aimlessly on the court, your energy and efforts become diffused. This lack of mental clarity hinders your ability to make strategic decisions, stay motivated, and persevere through challenges. Without a firm grip on your thoughts, you risk being tossed around by external circumstances and internal doubts, derailing your progress and leaving your goals out of reach. However, if you're willing to master your thoughts, nothing is impossible! The K.I.S.S. ~ Master your thoughts! Conversely, mastering your thoughts is like mastering the game of basketball – it requires skill, practice, and resilience. By taking control of your thoughts and steering them in alignment with your aspirations, you gain a competitive edge in the arena of life. When your thoughts are harmonized with your goals and values, you are better equipped to make purposeful choices, maintain focus amidst distractions, and bounce back from setbacks with determination. Here are three strategies to help you juggle your thoughts effectively and keep your mind centered on what truly matters. 1. Fast Break to Mindfulness: When your thoughts are spinning out of control like a fast break, take a moment to ground yourself in mindfulness. Just like a basketball player who needs to slow down and focus on the next move, practice mindfulness techniques such as deep breathing or meditation to bring clarity to your mind. By being present in the moment, you can gain control over the flurry of thoughts vying for your attention. As author Eckhart Tolle once said: "Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the NOW the primary focus of your life." 2. Triple-Double Your Self-Talk: Just as a triple-double in basketball signifies a player excelling in multiple areas, aim to excel in managing your self-talk. Monitor the story playing in your mind and challenge negative or distracting thoughts that hinder your progress. Replace them with positive affirmations and empowering beliefs that align with your goals. By cultivating a winning mindset, you can steer your thoughts towards success. Psychologist Carol Dweck famously said: "The view you adopt for yourself profoundly affects the way you lead your life." 3. Full-Court Press Your Distractions: In the game of Thought Madness, distractions often act as defenders trying to steal your focus. Employ a full-court press strategy by identifying your main distractions and creating a plan to counter them. Whether it's setting boundaries with digital devices, organizing your workspace for optimal productivity, or prioritizing tasks effectively, take proactive steps to minimize distractions and keep your thoughts aligned with your objectives. "Take your thoughts captive to lead your mind into intentional action." ~ Kristianne Wargo Remember, just like a skilled basketball player controls the jump ball to their advantage, you can navigate your thoughts and steer them toward your desired destination. In essence, the mind is the playing field where your dreams take shape, and your thoughts are the players that either work for or against you. By honing your mental game, cultivating a positive mindset, and consciously directing your thoughts toward what you desire, you set yourself up for success. Just as a basketball team relies on coordinated efforts and strategic plays to secure victory, your thoughts, when harnessed and disciplined, can lead you toward realizing your goals and dreams. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." ~ Matthew 5:11-12 How connected are you to God? And some use it to drink more, wear more green, and as an excuse to have a party. But there is so much more to know about St. Patrick, some from his biography and others from what was passed down through the centuries. In the heart of ancient Ireland, amidst the lush green countryside where legends and faith intertwined, there lived a man known as St. Patrick. His story is not just a tale of distant times but a timeless journey of resilience, belief, and the profound impact one individual can have on the world around them. Born Maewyn Succat in Roman Britain, St. Patrick's life took a fateful turn when he was captured by Irish pirates and sold into slavery in the mystical lands of Ireland. In the shadows of hardship and solitude, he found solace in his unwavering faith, a flickering light amidst the darkness. It was in those moments of isolation that he heard a divine call, a whisper from God beckoning him to escape and carry the torch of Christianity across the Irish hills and valleys. Returning to his homeland, now a man of God, St. Patrick embarked on a mission that would shape the course of Irish history forever. Armed with unwavering conviction and an open heart, he traversed the rugged landscapes of Ireland, preaching the Gospel and baptizing thousands in the name of Christ. His teachings transcended the boundaries of language and culture, resonating with the souls of the Irish people and kindling a flame of faith that would burn brightly for centuries to come. In the words of St. Patrick himself, "I bind unto myself today the power of God to guide me, the might of God to uphold me, the wisdom of God to teach me." These words echo through the ages as a timeless reminder of the strength that comes from divine grace and the wisdom that springs from a heart attuned to God's will. The K.I.S.S. ~ Rejoice and be glad! How connected are you to God? Are you one who can honestly say that you are putting Him first in your life? Now, of course, this is between you and God. This is not about pointing fingers or declaring someone is more connected to God than someone else. This is personal! And that's how God wants it. He desires to be personal with you in everything that you do. As we reflect on the life and legacy of St. Patrick, draw strength from his example of perseverance and dedication. His life serves as a reminder that in the face of adversity, you can find courage and purpose through your faith. Embrace the challenges that lie before you with courage and faith, knowing that you can overcome any obstacles in your path with God's guidance. I want you to ponder this on St. Patrick's Day. The famous prayer known as "St. Patrick's Breastplate" or "The Lorica of St. Patrick." The full verse goes as follows: "Christ beside me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ within me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left, Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down, Christ when I arise, Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me, Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me, Christ in every eye that sees me, Christ in every ear that hears me." This powerful prayer reflects St. Patrick's deep faith in Christ's presence and protection in every aspect of his life, guiding him through challenges and triumphs on his mission to spread Christianity in Ireland. The words embody a sense of divine companionship and spiritual fortitude that continues to resonate with believers across the centuries. How connected are you to God? Who do you see in your reflection? God or yourself? "Christ beside me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ within me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me....." No matter what you face, are you able to rejoice and be glad? That answer is a reflection of God's presence in your life. Go in peace. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #SweetSpirit #CreateYourNow #SoulfulSunday 🎥 Karen Kingsbury Productions Presents Someone Like You.movie 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? - 8643338 The More Love GrowsIn the garden of marriage, love is the seed that must be nurtured to ensure its continual growth. For those seeking to elevate their union to greater heights, this season presents an opportunity of delight – the more love grows. How bad do you want a great marriage? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co How bad do you want a great marriage? How great is your marriage? Are you enjoying life together? Are you really better together? Or you might be fighting more than loving. "Love is a verb requiring a decision to put the action in motion to unconditionally serve another soul." ~ Kristianne Wargo The K.I.S.S. ~ Till the soil! Here are three essential steps to cultivate and grow love in your marriage: 1. What Needs to Go? Let go of expectations and embrace acceptance. Unrealistic expectations can often become the bane of relationships. As Dr. Wayne Dyer once said, "Peace is the result of retraining your mind to process life as it is, rather than as you think it should be." By shedding expectations and accepting your partner for who they are, you can pave the way for mutual understanding and appreciation. "Love flourishes in the soil of acceptance." ~ Kristianne Wargo 2. What Needs to Stay? Cultivate open and honest communication. Communication is the lifeline of any successful marriage. It is imperative to create a safe space for both partners to express their thoughts, feelings, and concerns openly. Relationship expert John Gottman says, "In an emotionally connected relationship, your vulnerability is rewarded with care, affection, and acceptance." "True love listens before it speaks." ~ Kristianne Wargo 3. What Needs to Grow? Nurture shared experiences and prioritize quality time together. Building a reservoir of memorable moments strengthens the bond between partners. Whether it's a romantic dinner date or a weekend getaway, investing in your relationship sets the foundation for a love that blossoms over time. In the words of author Mignon McLaughlin, "A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person." As you embark on this journey to grow your love this season, remember that progress takes time and dedication. By tending to the roots of your relationship and cultivating a nurturing environment, your love will undoubtedly flourish into something more profound and enduring. Now, take a moment and sow the seeds of love in your marriage, for as Kristianne Wargo reminds us, "Love is a garden that requires constant care and attention." **The More Love Grows** In the season of Spring, where raindrops fall, And winds of change whisper their sweet call, Love blossoms like buds on a flowering tree, In the heart of you and me. Nurtured by the gentle touch of care, Love flourishes beyond compare, Like petals dancing in the breeze, Entwined in a bond that never sees. Through storms we weather, hand in hand, Love grows deeper, rooted in the land, Of trust and understanding, ever true, In the garden of us, love anew. So let the rain of challenges pour, For in love's garden, we seek more, A layer of beauty to grace our souls, As the seasons change and love unfolds. For in the garden where love is sown, It's in the nurturing that it's known, The more we tend, the more we see, Love's endless growth, eternally free. So let us tend to this love we share, With hearts open and souls laid bare, For in the cycle of life that ebbs and flows, We find the beauty in how love grows. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #RelationshipBuilders #CreateYourNow #LoveAndMarriage 🎥 Karen Kingsbury Productions Presents Someone Like You.movie 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women?
