Relying on God's Strength to Endure 0:00 God, we're always grateful for opportunities that you give to us, to open the scriptures, to open our bibles, to read the word. But, lord, we don't wanna be0:12 hearers only. We wanna be doers of your word. We wanna learn from what the apostle Paul is instructing young Timothy. We wanna learn from these things, from these truths to help us in our lives, to0:24 help us endure suffering, to help us deal with issues that come up in our lives, the things that we deal with, the stresses in this world. As we said this morning, in a group of us,0:36 Lord, we would love to see you return. We we can't wait for you to bring us home, but we also know there's work to be done. So I just pray that during this time that you would fill us with your word in such a way that it0:47 would equip each and every 1 of us to be effective on how to share what it is to have a relationship with god through Jesus Christ. Or that we would lead others,0:59 friends, families, coworkers, even strangers to the lord. Or that you would bless us with those opportunities to share about our faith, to share about our relationship with Christ.1:11 And, oh, lord, I would also ask that you would, by the power of your holy spirit, give us the ability to be good witnesses in these days. For the time is short, your return is near, and we wanna be as1:23 effective as we can. So bless this time as we study. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. So as I said last week, we started a message picking up in verse 3.1:35 We got through verse 7, talking about how to endure suffering, how to endure suffering. We all find ourselves
1:47 from time to time in life going through something difficult. We may or may not label it suffering, but sometimes it feels like that, a tough time that we've had to endure. Maybe you're
1:59 enduring 1 right now. Maybe you've endured 1, at the beginning of this year. Chances are you probably endure something or have to go through something later in the year because that's life as a Christian. There's always
2:11 these challenges. And as we talked last week, you know, the apostle Paul is writing from a Roman prison chained between Roman guards. He probably
2:23 understands his life is near the end. And even in his situation, even in his difficult place, he still has time to pen down some words to encourage
2:35 another believer, to encourage another pastor, his son in the faith, if you will, Timothy, who he led to the Lord. And he wants to encourage him to be faithful. And that 1 of the things he says in this
2:47 area, he says, you therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. He's encouraging Timothy. Look at this. It's not going to be easy, but Timothy endured. And the beautiful thing
2:59 about the apostle Paul, he can encourage Timothy to endure. Why? Because he endured himself. He has gone through difficult things. He has gone through many trials in his life, and he's seen the Lord show up in
3:11 many ways. That's the thing we have to understand when we endure these things that we go through, these struggles that we go through, it's God getting us through it, not ourselves. It's not okay. Be
3:23 stronger. You know, be more confident. Be more trusting. Be more believing. It's not actually on us to to endure these things. It's to rely on God. It's to rely on God to give
3:35 us the strength. It's for us to say, God, I can't, but I know you can. And acknowledging the fact, lord, I can't, but you can, so please help me, lord. And we find I
3:47 would hope we've all found from time to time when we go through difficult times, when we cry out to god and ask him to give us strength, to give us the ability to endure, all of a sudden that peace comes, all of a sudden
3:57 that strength comes, all of a sudden we're able to find strength we didn't have. And that's when God moves. That's when the Holy Spirit moves. So this is not a message about, hey, work
4:09 harder, do more of your part. Listen, we all have a part. We have to exercise our faith. We have to be a person that believes that God will get us through, to look past the struggles, to look
4:21 past the difficulties and say, God, I know you're gonna get me through this. Wouldn't you agree there's been times in your life god has gotten you through and you were actually amazed? Or those
4:33 moments when you go, it was so hard, god, but you were there with me, and you said you would be there, and that's what he is. So Paul is writing this to Timothy to encourage him. And this passage is so
4:44 encouraging to any of us that are going through something or have gone through something or may go through something by following hard after Christ, staying close to him because he is our strength. He is
4:56 that vine that we are attached to. We get our nutrients. We get our source of life from him. It's when we detach. It's when we start trying other things. It's when we try to do things in our own abilities, in
5:08 our own strength to try to fix things that that we learn we learn that we can't do it in our own strength. You may for a time, you may for a season, you may bring yourself some relief, but lasting relief
5:20 only comes through Jesus Christ. The good news for Timothy is that the apostle Paul on his understanding exactly everything he's encouraging Timothy to do.
5:33 And there's probably a bunch of us, if not all of us, in this room that have experienced god's strength in time of weakness. And we know that God can and often does show up
5:44 for us if we humble ourselves before him. So just as a bit of a review, last week, we talked verses 3 and 4 talked about endurance
5:57 requires focus. It spoke of the soldier that Paul was the soldier for Jesus Christ, and a soldier has a task. He has a purpose. He's fighting in a battle, and his focus needs to be accurate.
6:09 So in order to endure, our focus needs to be on the Lord. Our focus needs to be on the task at hand, not being distracted by the things of the world. So number 1, endurance requires focus. Number 2,
6:20 verse 5, we saw the athlete that Paul uses as an example, and we said, endurance demands discipline. In athletics, you are disciplined. You practice and practice and practice. And as an as
6:32 an athlete, we're to demand discipline, so we must have discipline in our lives. And so Paul uses that as an example. And then the 3rd thing he used was the farmer. In verse 6 is in 6 and 7,
6:44 endurance produces fruit. We grow through these times of struggle. We grow through these times of difficulty because we have to rely on God, and he gives us the strength
6:56 to endure. So those are the 1st 3 things that we saw. And so as we pick up in verse 8, we're gonna see the 4th thing, endurance is anchored, listen, in the gospel, in the
Anchored in the Gospel's Resurrection Hope
7:07 gospel. In order to endure, you have to remind yourself of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because don't we all know this is not our home? This is not our final
7:19 destination. That we our home is in heaven. Our home is with Christ. Our home is with God, and to be there with him. And so the gospel tells us that there's hope at the end of this thing
7:31 called life. So in order to endure, we have to remember our salvation, and that's exactly what Paul says. Look with me in verse 8. He says, remember that Jesus Christ of the seed
7:43 of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel, for which I suffered trouble as an evil, evil, evildoer,
7:55 even to the point of chains. But the word of God is not changed. Therefore, I endure all things for the sake of
8:07 the elect that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. So Paul, after he gives
8:19 3 practical applications of the soldier, the athlete, and the farmer, he turns to himself. He turns to himself as
8:31 a prisoner in jail. He turns to him and says, listen. Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead.
8:43 Does the thought of your God being alive and no longer dead bring you hope? You can answer. Yes. Yes.
8:55 We don't serve a dead god. We don't serve a dead savior. We just serve a living Christ. We just we serve a god that was raised from the dead, and we're gonna see in a
9:07 moment if he was raised, we too shall rise. This is not the end. Whether we live here and are taken up in the rapture or whether we die here and are taken through the resurrection,
9:19 then we are gonna live forever with Christ. Oh, the hope that should bring to the heart and the spirit of a believer that this is not the end. This is not the end of the story. We
9:31 know the end of the story, and the end of the story is glorious. In fact, heaven is what? More than we could ever think or imagine. Are you a good imagineer? Are
9:43 you a good thinker? It's more than that. Think of your absolute favorite place on the planet or faith think of the most favorite experience you could have in your life. It's more than
9:55 that. It's beyond that. The thing that satisfies you the most in your life pales in comparison to what it's gonna be like in heaven.
10:07 So don't you agree that remembering that Jesus Christ of the Son is risen from the dead is an encouragement to help us endure suffering? You know what doesn't help us endure
10:18 suffering? Focusing on our suffering. Right? Oh, I'm going through such a hard time. Oh, our finances are so tight. Oh, my relationship with
10:30 my kids is such a struggle. It's when we focus on that. It's when we pay attention to those things that we just feed into the overwhelmingness of the situation. But wouldn't
10:42 you agree from time to time if we would stop focusing on that and just say Jesus is alive. Jesus is alive. You know where Jesus is? Seated at the right hand of God, right? The
10:54 Bible tells us. And do you know what Jesus is doing? Interceding on your behalf. He looks at your situation. He looks at your difficulty and he says, God, I pray that you would give them strength. I died
11:06 for them. Give them what they need to endure. And we'll see in a moment Jesus is the ultimate endurer. He endured. He endured all the way to the end, to
11:18 death. And so remembering this and I just think it's just in God's absolute perfect timing that today we're doing partaking of communion, and we're remembering what Jesus has done.
11:30 Why do we do that every month? Because it's important to us to remember, to never free. And I'm not saying you forget, but it's to take the time to say, okay. I'm gonna focus on what my savior did for
11:42 me, goes to the cross. So this word remember is powerful. The resurrection of Jesus Christ, we know is powerful. Every other
11:54 religion on the face of the planet is a dead god, but not Christianity. Our god is alive. Our god is at work. He's behind the
12:05 scenes working on your behalf. Whatever any of us are going through, he knows it. He's aware of it. He he he's he's on the job, if you will, and he never sleeps. He never slumbers. He's
12:17 always working on your behalf. Isn't that good news? Sure. So just endure a little longer. But you don't understand, pastor Rob, it's been going on a long time, and it's really hard. Yes. It is hard.
12:30 But god's working, and I'm with you. God takes too long. Okay. He takes too long. What are we gonna do? There's
12:42 no complaint department. You know? There's no hey. Can god get on this job sooner than later? Right? For the
12:54 apostle Paul, as he tells Timothy this, this is not just spiritual imagery. This is not just spiritual thinking. This is foundational to
13:06 the apostle Paul, to remember what Jesus has done, to remember that Jesus has risen. What I love about the apostle Paul is he doesn't even necessarily mention his death. He goes right to the
13:18 resurrection because our god is alive. The death paid the penalty. His rising is the is the power of the of our salvation. And so he the bedrock of our
13:30 faith is that Jesus has risen and is alive. He calls him the seed of David, declares his humanity and his Mosaic identity of
13:41 Jesus. He is the promised king of kings, the fulfillment of the covenant. And Paul brings Timothy to that. Remember that Jesus was the 1. Remember that
13:53 Jesus was the chosen 1. He was the he was the Messiah. He was the savior. Focus on that, Timothy. He's a man born of a woman carrying the bloodline of Israel's greatest
14:05 king in David, and yet he was raised from the dead. Because none of us could pay the price. None of us could pay the price for our own sins, let alone the sins of
14:17 someone else, not 1 of us. Only Christ. Only the perfect 1. The 1 without blemish, without spot, that lived the perfect life. And when we put
14:29 our faith in him, we take on his righteousness. We take on the payment that he made so that we can be in right relationship with God.
14:41 Yes. Do your part. Yes. Be faithful. Yes. Work hard. But know the price has been paid already in full.
14:52 Okay? It's our job just to walk in that. Why does Paul
Enduring for the Sake of Others
15:04 say to focus on the resurrection? Why does he say focus on that, Timothy? It's because he understands that the resurrection
15:16 means suffering doesn't last forever. Isn't that true? It feels like it. Right? When we're in it, it feels like, will f will this ever end? Will this ever stop? There is
15:28 that human side of suffering. It's like, gosh, lord, will it ever end? But in Christ, yes, it will end. It will come to an end. There's a time in the future when we're with him, no more tears,
15:40 no more crying, no more suffering. Praise God for that. No more sin. And so we focus on that. For the apostle Paul, his chains were real. They were literal
15:51 chains. They were Roman chains. But he says with stunning confidence, the word of God is not chained. The word of God is so powerful. It's alive. It's living. It
16:03 cannot be restricted. It cannot be hindered. And it's the place that we must go to to find our strength, to find our endurance. When you're going through something difficult, do you
16:15 go to the word of God? Do you ask the Holy Spirit, Lord, give me a verse? Or are there verses in the Bible that you are constantly going back to to give yourself strength? They've been we call them life verses.
16:27 Right? Those verses that speak to you in every season of your life differently in every season, but they speak to you powerfully in those seasons. We should all have a verse that speaks to
16:39 us powerfully in that time so that we can go to those things. I'm asking you this morning, is there anything that's holding on to
16:51 you? Is there anything that's gripping you with fear or anxiety or or or a hindrance in some way? Are your
17:03 finances is there some things I wrote down? Are your finances in bad shape? Is your relationship with your kids strained? Does work keep you from time with family and friends? Does
17:14 fear of the future keep you awake at night? Whatever that may be, is there anything that's holding on to you? And if there is, and more likely or not, there probably is something.
17:27 What's our job to do with that? Is it not to lay it at the feet of the cross? Is it not to give it to Jesus? We we know this verse, 1st Peter 5, 6, and 7. It
17:39 says, therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God. 1st thing we do is humble that he may exalt you in due time. And then verse 7, we talk about all the time, casting all your cares
17:51 upon him, for he cares for you. Peter is telling us this morning, humble yourself before God and know that you can't do it yourself.
18:03 Let him lift you up in his due time, but then what? Give your struggles to God. Have you ever seen this picture? Let's see if I have it. Yeah. Have you ever seen this picture
18:15 or heard this saying, give it to god and go to sleep? You know what it says? Yeah. I I that's how I think. I think in simple terms. When I think about
18:27 casting all my cares upon him because he cares, it's because, god, I'm gonna give this to you because it's in better hands when it's with you. And I'm gonna go to sleep. I'm gonna rest.
18:38 Probably more than not, though, we give it to god, and then we wake up in the morning and take it back, don't we? Like, oh god, you didn't do anything with that? Well, I'll keep I'll keep messing with it. I'll give it to
18:49 you again. No. It says, casting all your cares upon him for he cares for you means to give it to him. Put put it in his hands and leave it
19:00 there. Leave it there. That's what the apostle Paul does. As he is in jail, as he's been stoned, as he's
19:12 been threatened, as his life has been nearly taken, all the things that he endured and gone through, he gives it to god. Remember that time he was what is it? He
19:24 was on a ship that's coming, and he was was it on his way to Malta or something? He was down in the belly, and he was resting. He was sleeping. He was trusting god. It's those things that hold on to us that
19:36 steal our joy that should not be stealing our joy because the joy comes from god. And so Paul says, listen, Timothy, give it to god. Remember what Jesus has done
19:48 for you. Find strength in that, and then look at what he says again in verse 10. Therefore, I endure all things for the sake of the
19:59 elect that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus. The Apostle Paul's suffering and the Apostle Paul's difficulties
Guaranteed by God's Faithfulness
20:11 were opportunities for God to use him to help others. Has this happened in your life? You've gone through something difficult in your life.
20:23 You've gotten through it. You've given God praise. You've thanked him for it. You never wanna go through it again. And then later in life, you run into somebody who's going through the exact same thing you went through,
20:33 and now you have an opportunity to come alongside that person and say, this happened to me, and God got me through it, and I'm gonna encourage you to get through it. That's what the Apostle Paul is saying. I
20:45 endure all things for the sake of the elect, for the sake of the church, for the sake of other believers. So, yes, none of us like to go through suffering. Nothing of us like to go through difficulties, but it could be
20:56 an opportunity that God is preparing you to help someone else. And wouldn't you agree it's easier to help someone else than it is to help yourself? Isn't that something? Oh, we can help
21:08 all kinds of other people, but when it comes to ourselves, we're wrecked. But hopefully, God puts someone else in our lives to help us in our times of struggle as well.
21:21 Do you have a purpose large enough to endure suffering in your life. See, the apostle Paul looked at others
21:33 as as strength to get through what he was going through. He looked beyond his struggle. He looked beyond his devil. He said, you know what? This is gonna prepare me for something in the future.
21:45 It might be another person. It could be a child. It could be a friend. But you're going through something to be able to help them. Is that enough to endure what you're
21:57 going through if it's gonna benefit them? It's like the it's like a mother's heart. Right? They're gonna suffer themselves as long as they can help their kids or help someone else. Some other's
22:08 hearts, the father's heart even. So have a purpose large enough to endure what you're going through. And maybe, just maybe, remembering what Jesus
22:20 has done for you might be enough to help you endure. Again, we're gonna go through the list. Endurance requires focus. Endurance demands discipline. Endurance produces fruit. We just learned
22:32 endurance is the anchored in the is anchored in the gospel. Finally, endurance is guaranteed through god's faithfulness. Look at verse
22:44 11. This is a faithful saying. If we died with him, we also live with him. Comes back to the resurrection. If
22:56 we endure, there's the word, we shall also reign with him. If we deny him, he also will deny us. If we are faithless,
23:09 I would change that to since we are faithless, he remains faithful. He cannot deny himself. The apostle Paul lists these
23:22 4 things. Is it 4? Yeah. He lists these 4 things actually 5. Sorry. To help us get a grip on the
23:33 power of the gospel and the faithfulness of god. Would you agree? We've all said it. God is faithful. God is faithful. He's always faithful. Right? He's never
23:45 been unfaithful. God is faithful. Because that's who he is. That's his character. That's why I said since we are faithless, because there's times we are faithless. There's times we're faithful. There's times we're
23:56 faithless. We don't really wanna have that strength. But Paul is writing these statements to Timothy and to us this morning to remind him of the character of
24:08 God, to remind him that, listen, God is faithful. God has the ability to do whatever he wants to get you through whatever he you need to get through. And for that, we should
24:20 help us endure ourselves. And, again, it goes back to the the death and resurrection. If we died with him, did you die with Christ? When you gave your life to him, you died to yourself.
24:32 Right? Then we shall live with him. That's the promise. Give your life to Christ, what? You'll live forever. Praise god. Aren't you glad
24:44 that when we get to heaven, we won't have to think about anything that we've had to go through here? All that will be gone. You don't wanna work you don't have to worry about not having enough money to pay your bills.
24:56 You won't have to worry about the struggles you had at work. You won't have to worry about the relationships that are just not that easy in your life. It's just it's gonna be completely different in heaven,
25:09 and that's an amazing thing. And so for the apostle Paul says, listen. If you died with him, you're gonna rise with him. Let that be a source of endurance in your life that 1 day we're
25:21 gonna rise with him. Praise god. And that's no small thing to think about. That's a fact because of what Jesus has done. And so it's powerful.
25:33 Galatians 2 20, Paul says, I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. Look at
25:45 this. And the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.
25:58 I love this. Again, the importance of baptism in this verse, been crucified with Christ, died with him, rose with him
26:10 out of that watery grave. We're gonna rise 1 day with him, and we're gonna live for him each and every day. We have an opportunity to live for god. And when you're living for God and when your focus is
26:22 on living for God and glorifying your savior, it helps you deal with the difficulties in life because your focus is on him. Says if we endure,
26:33 we shall also reign with him. Okay? That's an encouragement to endure. Listen. I think 1 of the greatest things about endurance and and and, you
26:45 know, holding on and being faithful and being patient or with all those things is the opportunities that we get to help others endure. You know, when you you you talk to someone who's going through
26:57 something in in their life, you're able to say, listen. Let's pray together. Let's let's I'm here for you. You know, there's people in my life that I've I've been texting with. It's been years since I've known
27:09 them. They're going through some things, and we constantly are texting each other, encouraging 1 another. And I love to be able to encourage people to to not give up. I literally talked to someone who I knew back
27:21 in when I lived in South Florida. This girl was so strong, so powerful, such a confident woman, confident business person,
27:33 and she has had a string of bad experiences. Her parents passed away. Her brother treats her terrible. The people around her treat her terrible. It's just 1 of the worst stories I've heard.
27:46 And in the midst of all of it I mean, she has no job. She has no money. She just got kicked out of her plate. I mean, it's just like the list goes on. And I'm just listening to her getting more and more discouraged. I'm
27:55 like, oh, lord. What are we what are you gonna do here? But you know what's cool? She comes from a Jewish background, so she does not believe in
28:07 Christ. But I told her she's living in, South Carolina right now. And no. No. No. Sorry. No. She lives in New York.
28:20 But I was able to reach out to a couple other Calvary chapels in her area and say, would you be willing to at least talk to this girl? And I'm I told him, I said, listen. She's in a bad place, but
28:32 she's a nonbeliever who needs to see god show up in her life. And I'm on 1 side, I'm so discouraged because of the place she's in because she's such a
28:44 strong woman, and I'm like, she just is negative, negative, negative, negative. But on the other side, I'm like, god, if you show up in her life, it's gonna be amazing. It's gonna be
28:56 amazing. So there's an opportunity there. And, honestly, at the end of it, you know, she's like, so what do you think? It's like, I'd like to be honest with you. I'm trying to figure out what we can do. I mean,
29:07 I I don't have the answer for you. I said, but god has an answer for you. I know god has a plan even in the midst of this. I said number 1, you gotta get around these get away from these people that are
29:20 toxic in your life. Like, hit around somebody who's positive. But, again, those are opportunities to encourage someone in a bad place, not because I'm in a good place, not because, hey,
29:31 everything's great in my life. No. It's because God has given me the the the endurance. God has given me the hope to be an encouragement to this person in their time of
29:43 need. And it's like to have a heart for people, to have a heart for others. That's what Paul is saying to Timothy. It's like, listen, Timothy. Whatever you're gonna go through,
29:55 endure through it. Give god the glory for it, and help others get through it as well. It's a beautiful thing. He says if we endure, we shall also reign with him. So that's a
30:07 hope. Keep enduring so we reign with him. But here's the hard 1. If we deny him, he also will deny us. Now listen,
30:19 this is complete and total rejection of Christ. That's what this statement is. This is Paul is saying, listen, let's not sugarcoat it. If you deny Christ, he's gonna deny you. This is
30:30 complete and total rejection of the salvation through Jesus Christ, but it's the reality. Right? The reality is only through Christ can we have eternal life,
30:42 so we don't deny him. Even Jesus said it this way, but whoever denies me before men, him I will also deny before my father who is in heaven. So Jesus said it. We know it's true.
30:54 That's a fact. So Paul drops this bomb. If you if anyone denies him, he'll deny them. But notice he follows it up with,
31:06 lastly, if we are faithless, he remains faithful. He cannot deny himself. Hopefully, none of us in
31:18 this room are gonna deny Christ, but there are gonna be times that we're faithless towards Christ, that we don't fully believe he's gonna do
31:30 something, and our faith wanes. Our faith that's that's normal for any believer, that that things happen in our to our faith, and it gets weak in seasons when we go through difficulty.
31:42 But it's the very thing that will get us through if we feed our faith. When we find ourselves faithless, it should be a a a what's the word I'm looking for? It
31:54 should be a warning that, hey. Believe. Right? David used to say it. My soul, you will worship God. He would force himself to worship the God he believed
32:06 in, and there are those times when our faith wanes that we must stand up and go, no faith. You're gonna believe in God. You've seen him do it in your past. You've seen him do it in other people's lives. Believe.
32:18 And then the beautiful thing is if we are faithless, he remains faithful. Aren't you glad that your salvation is not based on your faithfulness? It's his faithfulness.
32:31 So that's the encouragement to help endure. Is it listen, when you're in a bad place, have faith. Believe. Because God is the 1. Christ is the 1 holding you together. He's the 1 that's gonna get
32:43 you. Right? He that began a good work in you, what? Will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus. That's a promise. That's his faith. He did it for you. He died on that cross for you.
32:56 So as we now transition into this place of communion, we wanna remember what Jesus has done, and we wanna understand that he's the faithful 1.
33:07 Right? He's the 1 that was faithful to the very end. Right? Hebrews 12 2, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the
33:19 joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has now sat down at the right hand of the throne of God, the author and finisher of
33:31 your faith. Don't forget, you have a part. Bible says, every single day work out your own salvation. That doesn't mean fix your salvation.
33:43 It just means stay in a place of salvation. Stay in the place where God's grace shows up. Jesus will do the rest. So I don't know what you're going through. I don't know what you're dealing
33:55 with. You might be happy as a clam. Life is great. Praise God. But if you're not, don't give up. Don't ever give up on god.
34:07 Be faithful because he is faithful, and he will get you there. Let us pray. Father god,
34:20 as we say each and every week, we thank you for your word. The scriptures that speak in so many different ways. With a room
34:32 filled with this many people, lord, you can share the same scripture with all of us, and each of us takes it a little bit differently because that's what we need. So, god, we would
34:44 ask that we would remember what you have done, that we would remember that you have risen from the dead, that you are alive,
34:55 and you are seated in authority. And, God, thank you for praying for us because we
35:07 know your prayers are answered, every single 1 of them, perfectly. Lord, you know what we're dealing with. You know what we're going through.
Faithful Endurance Till Eternity
35:20 You know the struggles. You know the victories. We pray that through all of it, Lord, you would show us your faithfulness. Share with us
35:32 your strength because we admit that times we are weak. At times we are faithless, but we're so grateful that you're always faithful.
35:46 So as we remember what you've done upon the cross, when we remember that you willingly died in our place, it brings
35:57 us hope and encouragement that there's more to the story than anything that's going on right here on this earth. Brighter days are ahead. We can't
36:09 wait to be with you in heaven for all eternity, worshiping you, praising you, beholding your glory. But until that time,
36:22 by the power of your Holy Spirit, help us to endure all things for the sake of Christ. Bless my brothers and sisters.
36:35 Speak to them God. Show them, show them your glory, show them your power, show up for them in a way that they will not have any doubt that
36:47 is a work of your hand. Bless this time we pray. In Jesus name, Amen.
