Are You Ready to Be Used? 0:00 And we pray where you tell us to pray and pray and pray and pray without ceasing. God, forgive us for those times that we've0:12 ventured out without praying, where we've moved in a certain way without seeking your heart, and then finally coming to a place where, lord, help us,0:24 and you're faithful to show up. But, lord, teach us to pray. Teach us to pray at all times. Teach us to pray in the morning, at midday, at evening.0:36 When we have needs and we when we just have praise reports, let us be known by our love for sure, but also may we be known as people of prayer. For we know that0:48 mighty men and women of God of days past, if they could change 1 thing, they've said oftentimes they would pray more. We can never pray too much. So, god, we give this1:00 time to you, and we pray that you would give us ears to hear what the spirit has to say, that we will be thoroughly equipped for every good work. And it's in your name, lord Jesus, we1:11 pray. Amen. Let's go ahead and read verse 1 through verse 5. Paul says, I charge you therefore before god and the lord Jesus Christ1:24 who will judge the living and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom. Preach the word. Be ready in season and out of season.1:36 Convince, rebuke, exhort. With all long suffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine.1:48 But according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers and they will turn their ears away
2:00 from the truth, God forbid, and be turned aside to fables. But you, and I add Timothy, but you be
2:12 watchful in all things. Endure afflictions. Do the work of an evangelist. Fulfill your ministry.
2:24 Powerful words coming from a man of God in Paul to a man of God named Timothy. And I wanna share a story with you. The year was 2015.
2:37 A crazy Haitian woman had invited me to go to Haiti. I won't say any names. It's not necessary. She asked me to go with her and another gentleman in our church
2:49 to look at a piece of property that belonged to her late grandmother. Before the trip in December, a few of her friends from the Bible College in Haiti,
3:01 in Port au Prince, Haiti called Cross Delight, had come to our church to visit. We had heard we were thinking about going to Haiti and they wanted to come and introduce themselves. They were connected to the Bible
3:13 College in Port au Prince, but they were in the office here in Tennessee. And they asked me either in that Sunday morning or later after they found out that we were going in December, if I
3:25 would be interested in sharing with the students there? Young pastors, young Haitians that they would train up in Bible college and then send them back to their towns and their villages to
3:37 preach the word. And of course, I said, absolutely. I would love the opportunity. In the back of my mind, I'm going, oh my goodness. What am I doing? And so I
3:48 started to pray and ask God, how could I encourage these young men, these young pastors never been in ministry probably, probably just gotten saved within the year themselves. What would
4:00 I share? And I prayed and prayed and the message that came to me was here in chapter 4, the very 1st 4 verses. I thought, what an amazing message.
4:12 Be ready in season and out of season. Preach the word. I figured these young pastors need to know, stay in the word, teach the word. And knowing they were in a Bible college and a Calvary Chapel
4:24 Bible college, I knew they were learning the scriptures. I figured what an encouragement it would be to them. So over the next few months, I prepared my message. And I gotta tell you, I felt really good.
4:36 This was gonna be an amazing blessing, and Suzelle's laughing already. This was gonna be an amazing blessing to the pastors there. So December comes, we fly to Port au Prince.
4:49 And after dropping off our luggage at our house, our 1st stop was the Bible college. Message in hand and ready to go. We arrive at the college. We get a small we
5:01 get a tour of the of the of the campus, and then the director looks at me and he goes, are you prepared to share with the students? I'm like, yes. I have a message prepared out of 2nd Timothy chapter 4. I think
5:13 it's gonna be amazing. And he stops and he says, this is so perfect. He goes, they literally just finished the book of 1st Timothy. Why don't you go
5:25 ahead and teach the entire book of 2nd Timothy? To which I said, well, I prepared a message in 2nd Timothy chapter 4, and it's gonna
5:37 be quite an encouragement. No. No. No. No. This is gonna be great. You teach the entire book of 2nd Timothy. And as he says that, I'm thinking, how how am I gonna do that? And then I go and I think of my message.
5:48 Be ready in season and out of season. And I'm thinking, lord, I prepared a message for me. So that when
6:00 they said you're gonna teach the entire book of 2nd Timothy 4 or 2nd Timothy, that I would have no way of getting out of it. So, man, did I feel the conviction? I said, okay. And I looked to
6:12 the gentleman that was was Suzelle and I. His name was Jim. He was our missions director at the time. And I looked at him. I said, you better start praying, boy, because I don't know how I'm gonna do this. For the next
6:24 2.5 hours, verse by verse, with 1 of the the gentlemen 1 of the students there, obviously, translating into Creole, we went through the book of 2nd Timothy. And
6:36 I stand before you. That was 1 of the most amazing experiences in my entire life. These kids were so hungry for the word of God, and I'm sure I did not do the
6:48 the book of 2nd Timothy justice at the time. But God's work word preaches, doesn't it? Just reading these verses hopefully convicts our hearts that each and every 1
7:00 of us in this room need to understand. Be ready in season. Be ready out of season. Be ready when you're ready. Be ready when you're not ready. And it's like, are we as followers of Christ ready at
7:12 any moment to share about our savior, to share about the faith that we have? And even if I say if I say that, listen, today at lunch, you're gonna share your faith with someone. Some of you are going, woah, I don't
7:24 know if I could do that. Be ready. So it's a charge to all of us to be ready to be used by God, and that's the title of today's event. Are you ready to be
7:36 used? Because guess what? God might use you. God may choose to use you whether you're ready or not, whether you're prepared or not. And I'm gonna tell you
7:47 this, you know more about your savior, you know more about the word of God than maybe someone you'll even share with. So you are well equipped to encourage someone because
7:59 god has changed you, hasn't he? Hasn't he changed you? Hasn't he made an impact in your life? That's a powerful testimony. That's a powerful way to start the message. This is what god has done in my life, and I
8:11 believe he can do it in yours. So are you ready? Are you prepared? Listen. We need to be ready, especially in the days that we're living. Right? If we truly believe Jesus is
8:23 coming back at any moment, there's others that need to know. There's loved ones in our families. There's loved ones in our friends circles that don't know the love of Christ yet, fully.
8:35 They need to be prepared as well, and we may prepare them. Paul starts out here in verse 1. I charge you therefore. There's 1 of those words that we always must take note of. Therefore,
8:47 why why is Paul saying this? I charge you therefore because what? Because in verse 16 of the chapter before, because all scriptures given by inspiration God and is
8:59 profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. Paul says, listen, the scriptures are
9:11 what's gonna prepare you. The scriptures are sufficient for you, Timothy. Therefore, I charge you, Timothy, as a pastor, as a leader, as a Christian who knows the word of God, I
9:23 charge you to share the word. Right? He says, I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ. This word, that he charges
9:35 speaks of being ready. It's it's an urgency. I'm charging you, Timothy. This is important. Don't don't don't miss this. Don't skip it.
9:47 I charge you. You must be ready. Because, again, scripture is god breathe. Scripture is good scripture is good for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness
9:59 that we would be complete. As a pastor of this church, I have a responsibility and I'm calling upon my life to make sure you're fully equipped for every good work in God, that you're encouraged enough to
10:11 know that you're a part of the solution in the dark world that we live in. It's not just a pastor's job. It's just not minister's jobs. It's Christians' jobs to shine the light of Christ.
10:22 Right? Is the great commission only for leaders? No. It's for all believers. Go therefore make disciples. Who are you discipling? Who are you speaking to?
10:34 Chapter 3 tells us what the book is. All scriptures given by inspiration of God, and it's profitable. That's what it is. Chapter 4 tells you what to do with it. Paul is gonna be giving
10:46 Timothy the tools of how to share the word. God did not breathe out his word so that they could sit on a shelf or sit idle
10:58 and be admired. It's to be read. It's to be underlined, highlighted. I made a comment this morning about someone's Bible that looked you well used. There's something about a Bible that looks well
11:10 used. Right? I I saw a bible. I think it was this week. It had more of these little tabs in it than anything else. I'm like, how do you know? There's, like, thousands all around. I mean, tabs, tabs, tabs. And you know
11:22 what? Every 1 of those tabs means something to the person who owns that bible. God spoke to me here. God spoke to pastor RJ. He does it all the time. He writes in the margins. When the scripture speaks to him, he'll put
11:32 the date. He'll say he'll write something. And so when he comes back to that, he reads it, and he's reminded of god's faithfulness. Consume this book, and it'll consume you.
11:45 Consume, digest it, get it in you, and it'll come out of you. Right? When Paul says preach the word, when he says be ready in season, and honestly, he said, Timothy, study. Get it in you so that it'll
11:57 come out of you. So the question is during the day, during the week, what comes out of you? Does God come out of you or do you come out of you? It's a difference, isn't there? A
12:09 difference. But if god is changing you and as god is transforming you, you he will come out. You know, god's word was breathed out so that it could be spoken
12:21 about. I charge you. This is not advice. This is not a suggestion. It's actually legal language. It's actually an oath language. This is a man
12:33 raising his right hand and solemnly swearing testimony in a courtroom. I charge you, Timothy, before God and the Lord Jesus Christ. And now I wanna stay here for a minute.
12:53 As Christians, do we have the mentality that god is right before us, that Jesus is right here with us?
13:06 And it's not just here when we're in church. He's here with you when you're in your car. He's here with you when you're in your cubicle at work. He's with you when you're working in the kitchen. Think about this for a
A Solemn Charge Before God
13:17 minute. Paul is challenging and charging legally Timothy. Timothy, you have a responsibility, and you are standing before God and your savior. Right? When we stand before the judge,
13:30 we're pretty much guilty. Right? And it's like, do we have this mentality that Jesus is here, that God is watching?
13:42 Think about your life. Think about the sin in your life. We all have sin. We all have areas of our lives where we fall woefully short, and it's out there
13:53 before God. You might be private. Nobody knows. Your spouse doesn't know. Your kids don't know. Your friends don't know. Your employee doesn't employer doesn't know. But God knows. He sees. And isn't
14:06 he the ultimate? Who cares if someone else knows your sin? They can't do anything about it. But Jesus can. Jesus stands before him and says, I died for your sin. Give it to me. And to
14:17 truly have this mentality, to truly take these words as Paul is saying them to Timothy and saying, God, you're saying these to me. I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus
14:29 Christ, who is the judge of the living and the dead. Guys, this is serious language. This should bring deep conviction in our lives to
14:41 truly walk in such a way that glorifies God, that desires to be obedient. And I'm not saying this for a downer. I'm saying this as a
14:53 warning. We have a responsibility before God to walk upright with him and he's given us the mean means to do so. You don't have to fix yourself. You don't have to get perfect. He'll do it for you.
15:05 You just gotta say, Lord, I need your help. Lord, forgive me in this area. I'm sorry that I think this way. I'm sorry that I respond this way. I'm sorry that I act out in the flesh. What did Paul say? I beat my
15:16 body so that it'll be in submission. Right? And he's just like you and just like me. He doesn't do the things that he wants to do and he does the things that he doesn't wanna do. Right?
15:29 And are are you like that at all? Just me. Okay. Got it. No. We all it's like we do something, and we know it's wrong. We're just like, ugh. Why?
15:41 Why? And, hopefully, we fall on our knees and say, god, I need you because he's there. As a loving father, as a loving savior with arms reached out, I'm
15:53 here for you. Come to me. Come to me, all you who are weary and heavy laden. What's he say? I'll give you rest. The only time you can rest is when your sins are forgiven. The
16:05 only time you can rest is when your faults have been removed because of what Jesus has done. What an amazing thing. So I challenge all of us, myself included, to have
16:17 this mentality that god is right here. God is in our presence, and he hears, he sees, he knows. And listen, he's a loving, compassionate
16:28 god whose heart breaks when you're in a bad place. He's not yes. It says judge. Okay? But he's a righteous judge, and he knows your your shortcomings.
16:40 He knows your failures. And guess what? He still loves you. He doesn't act like you do when you don't like someone and you stay away from them. No. He
16:52 he knows your issues, and he comes to you. He runs to you. He says, listen. I can change you. I can change you. What would your life look like if you lived with the same
17:04 mentality the apostle Paul is writing Timothy? That god is right here in front of you and that Jesus is in every place where you are. Guess why? He's in you. The Holy Spirit's in
17:16 you. Let the Holy Spirit convict you. Let the Holy Spirit encourage you. Let the Holy Spirit guide you. That's what the Holy Spirit does. Check-in with the Holy Spirit on the
17:27 regular all the time. Holy Spirit, what do you want me to do? Holy Spirit, how do you want me to respond? If something comes up in your life and you you you don't know how Holy Spirit, how do you want me to handle this?
17:40 I think sometimes we get out in our own strength, and we try to fix things in our own way. And god's going, no, no, no. I got a better plan. So ask him.
17:52 Then he says, again, before god and the lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom. There's a time coming
18:04 when we're gonna stand before god. There's a time coming that we're gonna stand before him. We certainly wanna hear, well done, good and faithful servant. We certainly wanna know that our works are worthy of repentance.
18:15 We wanna make sure that we come when and cast our crowns at his feet, and hopefully, there's some good that comes out of our life once he burns off all the fleshly stuff. Hopefully, there's some value in the life that we
18:25 live. We're standing before him. In fact, I have an attorney friend that once told me that the most revealing moment in any deposition
18:37 is not a question, but it's the swearing in. He said that you can watch a man's whole posture change in the 4 seconds it takes to raise his hand
18:49 before going, putting his hand on the bible, how they'll respond. Things change because they're they're swearing an oath.
19:01 Now we know many people don't care about that, but us in this room should. Those of us who are in this room should swear on the Bible with our hands before God. I'm gonna tell the
19:13 truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God. If God's people can't be truthful, then who can? Right? We should be truthful. We should be able to trust
19:25 each other. I'm a very trustworthy person. When someone says something, I take it as face value. They can even be joking, and I'll still take it as fact. Gullible, they call that, I guess.
19:38 But shouldn't we be able to trust 1 another to speak the truth, to act the truth, to be people of our word, to be people of integrity? I would hope. Again, because we stand before god.
19:52 See, Paul is raising Timothy's hand before god and before Jesus. He's saying, Timothy, this is the 1 you need to be accountable to. Not Paul, but god.
20:05 And then he says look at this. This is who will judge the living and the dead at his appearing at his appearing. This is 1 of Paul's favorite words in his
20:17 epistles. He he used, it was a word that was used when an emperor would enter into town. It's an appearing. It's a, it's a statement of authority.
20:30 Paul used this word, in this very letter and back in, chapter 1 verse 10 describing Christ's 1st coming. He says, the appearing of our savior Jesus Christ who abolished
20:42 death. Jesus is coming back. He's a he because he's abolished death. The 1st time Jesus came was in a manger. The 2nd time he comes, it'll be on a throne.
20:55 A manger and a throne. And between the 2 is an opportunity for us as believers to accept that savior that was born and accept that savior who is king, who sits on a throne.
21:07 He has all authority. And in the book of Titus, look what Paul says here. For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all
21:19 men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lust, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age. Then verse 13,
21:31 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and savior Jesus Christ. Now, don't miss this. In verse 11,
21:44 it says, for the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared. Right? So that's before. And then in verse 13, yeah, 13, it says looking for the blessed
21:56 hope and glorious appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 different appearings. Right? 1 that's in the past, 1 that's in the future. But don't miss what's in the middle. Our life
22:08 is in the middle. I'm gonna come back to it. Verse 12. I guess you don't have a number there, where it says, teaching us that denying ungodly lust and godliness and worldly lust, we should live
22:19 soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age. He came as a baby. He appeared. He's coming again as king. And in
22:31 between, Paul says, this is how you're to live your life. This is the life that we should believe that we should be living. The Christian life that that honors the lord right there in the
22:43 middle of the 2 appearing. He describes how our life should look. We should all take a very healthy look at that verse, verse 12, and ask ourselves,
22:55 am I living like that? Am I, in fact, denying ungodliness and worthily lust, living soberly, righteously in the present time.
23:07 That's what he wants for us. That's what he wants for Timothy, but that's what God wants for each and every 1 of us. And it's not completely on your shoulders and your responsibility
23:20 because god wants to help each and every 1 of us through it. God help me to live this way. God help me to desire to live this way as a Christian. This is
23:31 where we are all standing this morning. We live in the space between the 2 appearings. Behind us is God's grace that has already come and ahead of us is his glory, which
23:43 we know is going to be coming. It's a sure thing. Everything we do, every sermon I preach, every child you teach, every hard conversation you had in this church
23:55 happens between the 2 appearing. That's our life. That's the life we're to live. And actually, some of the oldest manuscripts
24:07 render this verse. Paul saying, I charge you by his appearing and his kingdom. He moves it up. That the charge is by
24:19 the things that Jesus is going to do, the appearing in his kingdom. He I think it has more authority when we see it that way. And he's basically looking at Timothy and saying,
24:30 Timothy, there's 2 courtrooms. 1 is the courtroom of Ephesus with all the law abiding, religious leaders, and then there's the courtroom
24:42 of god. Which one's more important? Which one's more important? The courtroom of people or the courtroom of God? And Paul's saying, Timothy, get out of the courtroom of
24:54 popular opinion or unpopular opinion, I guess, and get into the courtroom of God, preaching the word, doing what you've been called to do. You're worrying about
25:06 the wrong thing. If you serve in this church in any capacity, if you teach the children, if you greet at the door, if you park
25:18 cars, if you disciple a young believer, if you lead a bible study, you are not primary primarily accountable to this place. You are
25:29 accountable to his face who sees it all. So as you serve, know you're serving him. Yes. You serve others in the process, but we serve god. Right?
25:41 Not man. And we wanna please God, not man. The way you handle the word of God is not a matter of preference or personality. It's a matter of
25:53 testimony given under oath before a judge who is coming back. I guess I understand the temptation for
26:05 preachers, pastors, whatever you wanna call us, to to walk to move away from the word of god and teach what people wanna hear.
26:19 But when I stand up here, I realize I stand before god. I stand before him, and every single 1 of us in this room stands before god. You're sitting before god. You got here before
Living Between Two Appearings
26:30 god. God sees it all. He wants to know how how are you doing? How is how are you making an impact? Every single 1 of us in this room can have an impact every day, not just on Sunday morning. Have an impact
26:42 to encourage someone, to to help someone who's in in trouble and difficult place. We all have a responsibility to do that before god. So Paul starts out in verse 1 with a
26:54 charge. I charge you therefore, Timothy. Do these things. Then the 2nd thing is he states a commission. Look at verse 2. Wow. It's
27:06 already 11. He says, preach the word. Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke,
27:18 exhort with all long suffering and teaching. Paul's charge to Timothy is simple. Preach the word.
27:31 This is the very thing that at Calvary Chapel, we've come to embrace, the simple teaching and preaching of the gospel, of the of the scriptures, of the word of
27:43 God. Is there anything more powerful in all the world than the word of God? No. God even seems says, I esteem my word above my own name.
27:55 The word is the most important. So why would we wanna stray from that? Why would we wanna just dabble in a few verses and then talk about a lot of nice things that encourages us, though you'll be okay. Just
28:07 keep doing your best. No. No. Your best is not good enough. Right? Is your best good enough? I got 1 no. Is your best good enough? No. No.
28:19 No. Thank you. No. It's it's again, it's the reality we have to understand because I know there's people that are sitting in churches that are trying to
28:31 do their best. I could just do my best. This week, I'm gonna do my best. I'm not gonna do that. I'm not gonna I'm not gonna think we try to do our best. Isn't it better to walk into the week? I'm gonna fail miserably,
28:43 and god's grace is gonna be there. Right? Is is is his grace sufficient? Yes. So you're getting it. It's it's like, yes. His grace is sufficient. So we we should try and strive
28:55 to do our best, but our best doesn't do anything but help us. At least honor the lord.
29:07 Reality. Preach the word, not your word, not the word of the culture, not the word word world that people come to hopefully hear. Listen, there's a lot of churches that just
29:20 are there to coddle people. I mean, we're gonna see it soon. Right? We're gonna talk about the itching ears, keeping up teachers of their own. They just wanna just give me a good little message that encourages me to do
29:31 better. You know what I want? I've said this many I want a message that hits me right between the eyes, that knocks me off my feet, that breaks my heart so that I can say,
29:43 I've got to change. I've gotta let god live through me. That's what we need to hear. The word, again, is God breathed scripture
29:55 as Paul described in verse 16 of chapter 3. But in Jeremiah chapter 1, because we can think about this is just a current day thing. But in Jeremiah chapter 1, God calls
30:07 Jeremiah. And Jeremiah says, listen. I can't speak, god. You you're calling me, but I can't speak. I'm just a youth. This is Jeremiah's response. You know how god responded back to him? And
30:18 this is where we're gonna close. He says, but the lord said to me, do not say I'm a youth, for you shall go to all to whom I send you. And
30:30 whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of their faces, for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord. Then the Lord put
30:42 forth his hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me, behold, I have put my words in your mouth.
30:55 I would imagine my almost all of us in this room could actually say, god, I can't. I can't do it, god. I don't have the strength. I don't have the training. I don't have the
31:07 wherewithal, whatever whatever the excuse may be. And you know what god would say to all of us? You're right. You don't have it, but I'm gonna give it to you. I'm gonna put my word
31:19 in your mouth. To me, this speaks so powerfully to the fact that it's his word that matters more than mine. It's his word that matters more than ours.
31:31 There was a Calvary Chapel pastor. 1st time he went through the entire bible took him 3 years. I'm going 25 years. I haven't taught the whole thing yet because
31:43 you can see I only do a couple of verses at a time. 3 years, he did the entire bible. The next 7 years, he did the entire bible again. And at the end of those 7 years, you know what god said to
31:54 him? So now all of a sudden, your word's more important than mine? And when he shared that at a conference, man, that was so convicting. Because it's his words that have life, not
32:06 mine. Illustrations help, stories help, but it's his word that matters. So when we look at scriptures, I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, we should take that
32:18 personal. God's word is alive to speak to us. And we should say, god, I can't do it. And he says, yes, I know. But I'm gonna put my word in your mouth. And so our prayer is, god, fill my
32:29 word. Fill my mouth with your word. Fill my mouth with your word. Do you think God wouldn't do that if you asked him to do that? I think he would. I think he would give you
32:41 scripture that you didn't even know you knew because that's the ability god has. Are you willing to be used by God today? Are you ready to
32:53 be used? Because he wants to use you. He may use you at the end of this sermon. He may use you when you're at the restaurant after lunch. He may use you this afternoon when you get together at dinner with friends. Let
33:04 God use you. Be ready. Be willing. Because a willing heart is all God needs. It's all he needs. So as we prepare for communion, let's remember that God wants to use each and every 1 of us
33:16 in this room. We are the body of Christ, and we all have a plan and a purpose that God has for us. Let's pray. Father, we thank you, as always, for the power of your word.
33:29 Forgive us, God, when we've tried to do this thing called life any other way than searching the scriptures, seeking your heart, seeking your will. I
33:41 pray for this church. I pray for the people here this morning sitting in this room or maybe perhaps watching online. God, you need to hear our hearts. We know we
33:52 can. We know we're not not able to do what only you can do. Even at our best, we fall woefully short.
34:05 But, god, we we come to you this morning and say, here we are. Send me, lord. Let my mouth speak your words. Fill us with the scriptures,
34:18 our minds, our hearts, our souls. Let the word come out of us, god, because it's in us. Holy spirit, have your way with
Preach the Word
34:29 us. Remind us of the word of god and the power of the word that has changed all of us. And I pray for anyone here this morning
34:41 who has never committed their life to you, who has never surrendered their will for your will. That in this moment, they would realize their need for a savior, that they would
34:53 need Jesus to save them. They can't save themselves. They can't live perfectly. They can't meet your righteous requirement. But Jesus, your son, met it perfectly, sinless.
35:06 By putting our faith in him, we have salvation. By putting our faith in him, we have eternity eternal life with you. So I pray for those here this morning
35:18 in the quietness of their hearts. May they cry out to you. May they say they're a sinner. They need a savior. May you come to them, God.
God Will Put His Words in Your Mouth
35:30 Wash away their sin. Take their heart of stone and change it with a heart to a heart of flesh. Transform them, God. Save them.
35:45 And may they have the confidence to know that in that prayer, you faithfully respond, yes, I will save you. I will continually save you the rest of your life.
35:59 God, as we enter into this time of communion and remember what you've done upon that cross, may it bring joy to our hearts to know that God loved us that much,
36:11 that he would send his son, his only son, to die in our place. So may this be a time to remember the
36:23 greatest news heaven ever gave to earth by sending Jesus. So bless this time we pray. In Jesus' name, amen.
