The Need for Human Connection 0:00 Give to us like this, to gather together in your name, to come together as a church, to come together as a body, as brothers and sisters in Christ, not trying to be phony, not trying to be0:12 fake, not trying to hide. No, lord. We wanna live out loud. We want our hearts, our minds, our souls, our attitudes, and our personalities to be used by you. And be open to all, lord, that we would0:23 be sharpening 1 another, that we'd be encouraging 1 another, correcting 1 another, as the scriptures say. And God, as we get to this final section on always learning,0:36 God, may we realize that we always are learning more about you. We will never know you completely. You continually amaze us. You continuous continuously reveal0:47 new dimensions of you, new graces, new, love, new commitments to us. And you are just a good and faithful god. And we thank you, god, for the opportunity to come, to read,0:59 to sing. But, lord, speak to us now, each of us. We're all at different places. We're all at different stages. We're all going through different things. But 1 thing is assured, you are the1:11 answer to all of it. So have your way in this place, we pray. In Jesus' name. Amen. I want you to think about this for a1:23 moment. Every 1 of us in this room knows something that we can't remember ever really learning. Not1:35 a fact that you looked up. Not something you studied for a test and can recite. I mean the deeper things, the instincts, the things that seemingly come
1:46 natural. For instance, you know you don't leave a friend in a parking lot alone at night. You know that you say something when you break something. Crystal, you did that this
1:58 morning, didn't you? You told us, and we love you for it. You know how to hold a baby. You know how to shake a hand. You know how to
2:10 sit with somebody whose mother just passed. None of us wanna do some of these things, but we do them because we know. Nobody sat you down for a lesson. You
2:22 just know how to do these things. And here's what troubles me about the world that we live in today. We have more information available to us than any generation
2:34 in the history of the world, and almost none of us has a face attached to it. We search Google. We ask chat GBT. It gives us answers,
2:46 gives us instructions, but didn't it didn't come from someone. It didn't come from a person. See, there are things you've learned from others in your life. There's things that you've learned about your faith,
2:58 about your walk with God because of that godly man or that godly woman or a pastor or whatever it was that taught you those things. So there are some things we just know. There's other things that
3:10 we learn. But we live in a world where interaction with 1 another is becoming less and less. There there's a real need for human
3:22 connection. There's a real need for talking to someone. Right? So our instinct is just ask Google. We'll get the answer. Right? It's it's easy. Gone
3:34 are the days where we pick up the phone and say, hey. This is going on in my life. I could use some help. I I'm sure some of us, if not all of us, have that aspect. But typically, most of the time, we go to a faceless
3:46 source. We go to a place that'll give us the answer, but may not give us the heart behind it. The connection is so important. This I heard a story about a young woman who got a diagnosis that
3:58 she wasn't expecting. She sits in her car in the parking garage, and she does what all of us do now. She pulls out her phone and within seconds has 14
4:10 articles on her diagnosis. She's now joined 3 forums. And now there's an algorithm that is running behind the scenes that is beginning to sell her supplements to help her
4:21 condition. She has answers, but what she doesn't have is a person to look at and to talk to, to to help her
4:33 through the difficult season. Answers don't always help, do they? Sometimes you just want someone to care. Sometimes you just want someone to be there. Sometimes you just want a face to talk to.
4:46 We have never known more. And the questions become, just get me the content, just give me the answer, just tell me what to do.
4:59 Information without interaction, truth without a teacher, content with nobody behind it. Listen, when you go through tough things in life, when you're dealing with
5:10 something that's real, you wanna tell somebody. You want someone to be there. You want a mom. Right? That's what moms do. Moms are there. Right? They're the ones that kiss the boo boos.
5:23 Can't believe I said that, but kiss the boo boos. That's what moms do. It makes it better somehow. We want that interaction. You see, as we're reading this letter,
5:35 there's a young man in Ephesus who Paul calls him a son. He is pastoring a church that is unstable in a culture that is coming apart at the seams. He's
5:47 being told by louder, slicker, and more confident men that what he was taught as a young boy is out of date. That the world has moved on and he has he had better move on as
5:59 well. A man who disciplined him is in a Roman prison, weeks from execution, writing perhaps his final words. And what Paul lays out in
6:11 this particular chapter about the last days, he says, they will become lovers of self, lovers of money, lovers of pleasure with a form of godliness, but no
6:22 power in it. That's what we're the days that we're living in. Those are the times that we're dealing with. You just said evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, that
6:34 everyone who desires to live godly will suffer for it. So what does Paul say? What is the answer? That's what we're gonna come to in these final verses. What does he tell a young man
6:46 when the water is rising all around him? You'd expect to give a man like this a strategy, a plan, a method, a program, something to do.
6:58 Timothy, just do this. Well, we're gonna find out that the answer isn't what you do. It's how you remain in the center
7:10 of god's strength. And that's what we're gonna look at this morning. We started in verses 6 through 9. We looked at the predator and the prey. And then in verses 10 through 13 last week, the
7:22 pattern you can follow. The examples of godly people that would go before us. Thirdly and finally, we're gonna look at the provision that holds you. The provision that holds you.
7:34 Well, starts in verse 14, but again, I would like to read it for context starting in verse 6. For of this sort are those who creep into households and make
7:45 captives of god gullible women, loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning, and never coming never able to come to the
7:57 knowledge of the truth. Now as Iones and Iambres resist resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth. Men of corrupt minds
8:09 disapproved concerning the faith, but they will progress no further for their folly will be manifest to all as theirs also was. But you
8:21 have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, long suffering, love, perseverance,
8:34 persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra. What persecutions I endured. And out of them all,
8:45 the Lord delivered me. Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse,
8:58 deceiving and being deceived. Here's where we start today's scripture. But you must continue in the things which you have learned
Continue in What You've Learned
9:10 and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise for
9:21 salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for
9:33 doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped
9:46 for every good work. We see the prog the progression here from when Paul starts to explain the condition of the end times,
9:58 the condition of these men that are that are always learning, never coming to the truth, that are deceiving and deceiving gullible women and drawing them away from their faith. And then he gets in and
10:09 again in verse 10, but you have carefully followed. Tom Timothy, you've been doing it. You're not doing what they're doing. You're following my example. And then in verse 14, he says, but you, Timothy, but
10:21 you, yourself, everything else is drifting, but not you, Timothy. Everything else is being carried downstream, but not
10:33 you, Timothy. See, there's a responsibility that we have as believers to not go with the flow, to not go with the crowd, to be different, to be
10:45 unique, to be set apart. Because he says, but you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of. What
10:57 does Paul tell Timothy to do in tough times? Continue in the faith. Continue in the faith. What other option is there for the believer?
11:09 Right? What other source do we have than our faith and the word of God to get us through difficult times? So the reminder to Timothy is you're in dark place. You're in difficult difficult
11:21 times, Timothy. I understand that. That's the world that we live in. But you need to hold on to the very thing that's holding on to you. Right? Abiding in Christ. We are that vine that stay or that branch that
11:33 stays attached to the vine, which is Christ. He is our source of everything. And Timothy, you gotta continue in that because it's not about doing more, being more, reading
11:45 more, praying more. Not that those things are bad. But if we think just doing those things will help, we have to understand sometimes there's a a place where we have to
11:57 just stand still and stand on God and his promises and reminding yourself. He told me he would fight for me. He
12:09 told me he would remain with me. He told me he would fight all my battles. Right? The battle belongs to the lord. Do we believe that? Or do we try to help god fight our battles?
12:21 We all know there's our part and God's part. But wouldn't you agree, sometimes we try to help God's part? This is not coming fast enough. Now, it's not moving quick enough.
12:34 Paul tells Timothy, continue in the things which you've learned. Go back to the truth that you know, Timothy. Because whatever's in front of you, the answer is behind you.
12:47 It's been put inside you. You've learned it. The word continue means to abide, to remain, to stay put. It's hard in the world that we live in, is
12:59 it? To just be still and know that he is god. Right? Don't you love that verse? Be still and know that he is god. How often do you find yourself being still?
13:12 Right? It's too crazy. When you wake up 1st thing in the morning, what's the 1st thing you do? Don't answer, especially
13:24 the new deacons. You grab your phone. You read the the emails. Do you read the text messages? Do you check social media?
13:37 Right? Or do we just wake up and say, god, I'm gonna be still before you in this moment. I'm gonna thank you for another day. I'm gonna I'm gonna spend this time with you, lord, just thinking about you, thinking about
13:49 what you did for me yesterday, thinking about who you are in my life, thinking about the potential of what had happened today. Again, if this is the place of is the house of miracles, if this is
14:00 truly what we believe and that we believe each and every 1 of us are a miracle, then God can do a miracle in your life every single day. If we wake up and set our mind on him, I'm as guilty as all of us.
14:13 Who emailed me overnight? Who text me overnight? To be honest, not many people. Right? It's like, why? Stay away from that. Lord, I just wanna spend this time with you to be
14:25 still and know that you are god because, guys, I think I said it last week. The we learned this at the men's craft. The closer you get to god, the bigger he becomes in your life.
14:38 And when god is big in your life, your problems are small. Not insignificant. And I'm not saying that. They're small in comparison to god because he can change the circumstances.
14:52 Paul doesn't tell Timothy, you gotta innovate. You gotta reinvent the wheel. You gotta do things better because we're in a new generation. No. He's saying, stay, Timothy. Continue in what you've learned. Continue in
15:04 what you've been taught. Probably the Bible and the Lord are the only consistent thing in the world. Everything else changes. Everything else changes and becomes new and different.
15:19 There's some of you in this room that don't even know what a rotary telephone is. That's criminal. A cassette tape. What is
15:31 that? We have to stand in what we've learned. We have to understand that we've been taught things by someone, and we need
15:43 to remain in those things. Because if we start searching for new answers or new things, then we get ourselves in trouble. And so the answer for Timothy is to stay, to be still.
15:58 If you notice the contrast between verse 13 and 14. Verse 13 says, but evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. A lot of action, a lot of movement.
16:09 Verse 14 says, but you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, remaining in that thing that you were taught. God is your answer to
16:21 every problem that you have. And he is the 1 that guides and directs your life. And if you want purpose in your life, seek him for that purpose. Lord, what do you want to do
16:33 with my life? What do you want to do with me? He's the 1 that knows. No 1 else does. We can pray for you. We can pray for the best for you, but we don't know what tomorrow brings. Only god knows that.
16:45 And so go to him. That word assured of listen to this. You were made certain of these things. You were persuaded and settled. You understood these
16:57 things that you were taught, Timothy. You were embraced by them. Nothing was found emotionally moving. These things were not you were not convinced of. And he says,
17:09 knowing from whom you learn them. So not only the information, not only the things that you've learned, not only the things that you know in the word of God, but Paul says it's important who you got it from.
17:21 The source is important. Right? This word from whom is those who taught you, those who spoke it into you, those who you witnessed, kinda going back to the example.
17:33 Paul says the source is an incredible resource for you. The faces matter. When you are going through something in your life and a thought that
17:45 you hadn't thought about for years comes back into your mind, because someone taught it to you. Doesn't their face show up? It's like, oh, this is happening in my life. Oh, I know what to
17:57 do. Someone told me to and it's so and so. It's so this person showed me this, taught me this. It's that personal connection. And not only are those there are people
18:09 like that in your life that have taught you these things that you can see their face, but be that person for others. Be someone
18:21 that when they're going through something, they say, so and so told me this. So and so showed me this. I witnessed this in their life. When god strengthens you, when god uses you,
18:33 you become an example in someone else's life. What a blessing that is. What a blessing. Because, you know, Timothy, he didn't get this from some seminar. He
18:45 got it from his grandmother, Lois, his mother, Eunice, and from Paul himself. Like, Timothy, that matters. It matters who you got it from. Those those are people near and dear to his heart.
18:57 And when there you have people in your life that are near and dear to your heart, what happens? They can speak into your life. Right? You don't get offended. You want them to hold you accountable. You want them to hold
19:07 your feet to the fire. You want them to call you out when you're you're not doing the right thing. That's what we need in the world. Right? The world out there, they're doing their own thing. They don't want anybody to
19:17 speak it in their life unless it's just encouraging them to continue to do what they're doing, whether it's right or wrong. But isn't it nice to have people in your life that'll hold you accountable? It'll say, no.
19:28 That's not right. You shouldn't be doing that. Hopefully, you have people like that in your life. Are you someone else's example? As Paul traces it back
19:40 to your grandmother, to your mother, to me, he even goes 1 far 1 farther back. Notice he says in verse 15, and that from childhood you have known
19:52 the holy scriptures. I want you to listen to me here. That from childhood, you have known the holy
Scriptures from Childhood to Salvation
20:04 scriptures. That word childhood means infant. This is not just a young boy. This is a this is a baby. It's the same word that is
20:15 used for the baby that was in Elizabeth's womb. Right? John the Baptist. Right? It's the same word for the newborn baby in the manger. It's the same word, child
20:27 childhood. And so what Paul is saying that you have known the holy scriptures even before you could speak, even before you could argue with your mom, even before you could talk back to your
20:39 parents, the scriptures were spoken over you. Grandma, grandpa, mom, dad, speak the scriptures over your kids.
20:51 It matters. Speak it over them. Implant it in their hearts. I I I have this picture of grandparents holding their, you know, their their new grandchild
21:03 and just praying over them and speaking scripture in their life, speaking life into them. What a what an amazing thing. What a great opportunity for us to know. Listen, I got
21:15 saved at 26 years old. And when I got saved, 1 of the very 1st things I thought is, god, I'm so sorry it took me so long. 26 years, I lived for myself. 26 years, I
21:27 didn't know god. 26 years, I didn't have a relationship with Jesus. For 26 years, I lived for myself. There was no faith. There was no acknowledgment of a greater
21:39 higher power or whatever. There was no belief in a god. And if you speak the scriptures into your children's lives, listen. It's not a guarantee, but, man, it's gotta be a better option.
21:51 I know parents in here that prayed over their kids their entire lives once they got saved. And, yeah, kids go astray. Kids do their own thing. Guess what? God gave us all free will. But what a
22:03 what an opportunity you have to speak into your kids' lives and to lay a foundation of biblical truth. But you know what that requires? Do you have for you to have that same
22:15 foundation, for you to know the scriptures. Read them. Speak them. Speak them into their lives because I believe it will make a difference. Now, the reality
22:26 is you may never see the fruit from it, but the seed has been planted. In fact, in Deuteronomy, God said this, you shall teach them
22:38 diligently to your children. Speaking of the scriptures. You shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
22:52 Seems to me like God wants us to be speaking the scriptures to each other. Are you hiding the word of God in your heart? Are you are you seeking the
23:04 word of God regularly for yourself? But guess what? It's also for others. It's also for someone else. It's also an opportunity for you to share that with someone else.
23:17 I met, I met some guys what day was that? It was Friday. Actually, they're the ones that are providing our new coffee. They live in Franklin. I had an
23:28 opportunity to to to witness with them. 1 of them was a believer. 1 of them, I think God's still working on his heart. But I got an opportunity to share my my experience, my my, heart issue back 13 years
23:40 ago. And it really just ministered to this 1 guy. And once we started talking and once we started communing, the scriptures that came back and forth for towards each other were were amazing. This
23:52 verse and that verse and this verse and that verse. And we it just the the story set the stage for the scriptures to come alive in our hearts. And it was just an amazing god opportunity. You don't
24:04 know what someone else may need in your life. Whether it's at work, whether it's a neighbor, whether it's a grocery store. You know, when you see a checkout person
24:16 who looks down, that you have an opportunity to encourage that person. Do it with the word of god, but it has to be in you 1st. Because Eunice didn't know she was raising a man
24:28 that would receive a letter from the apostle Paul encouraging him as a pastor. She didn't know that. But she definitely set the stage for this man's life. So we have opportunities. And even
24:40 if you don't have kids, there's a few kids in that room right over there or in those rooms over there that we can all encourage, that we all can speak truth over. We can all make an investment in their lives. What a
24:52 amazing opportunity. Read this book to your kids. Because when you're reading this book to your kids, you know who else you're reading it to? Yourself. Makes a difference.
25:04 The more you read it, the more you know it, the more you live it. It's the truth. And notice what it does. That from childhood, you have
25:16 known the holy scriptures, here it is, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. What does Paul say? You know what the most
25:28 important thing about the scriptures is? Jesus. Salvation. Read your Bible so then you can memorize a lot of scripture. That's not what Paul said. Read the read your Bible so that you have all this head
25:39 knowledge with the word of God. Not that it's a bad thing. But what he said, you know the holy scriptures because it leads you to Jesus Christ. It leads you to a place where your sins are revealed to you and you
25:51 realize there's a savior that will take those sins away. So it reveals Jesus to us. Wise for salvation. Scripture should lead us to Christ. If you
26:03 remember 3 weeks ago, I opened up with an illustration of a woman that had all these notebooks because she had all studied all these things. She had all this information, but she didn't know if she had a relationship
26:13 with Christ. The Bible leads us to Christ. So if you're studying the word of God and you just walk away feeling better about yourself, you've missed the point. You should read the scriptures
26:25 and know more about your savior, and then feel good about yourself. It's gotta be about Jesus. It's gotta be about the lord Jesus. And the lord Jesus is in this book from Genesis
26:37 to Revelation. Amen? Everywhere. Even Leviticus. I'll say that. Especially Leviticus. Yeah.
26:49 It's he's in there, and he wants to reveal himself to you so he can help you through your life. You know what you need to do, Timothy? You need to come to Christ. You need to remain in Christ. You need to
27:01 stay in that place where Christ is. That's what will get you through, and that's what will glorify god. Even Jesus said it. You search the scriptures, for in them
27:13 you think you have eternal life. And these are they which testify of me. Jesus said, read the scriptures. It reveals who I am. And then in
27:25 Luke, it says this, and beginning at Moses this is the on the road to Emmaus. And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded to them in all the scriptures the
27:36 things concerning himself. It's in there. Jesus is in there. You want answers for your life? Jesus is your answer. Jesus is your answer.
27:48 Get close to your savior. Get close to the lord, and he will help you get through these things called life and lead us to a place of salvation. Does the Bible not say
God-Breathed Power of Scripture
28:01 every day to work out your salvation? To keep staying saved? To keep staying on the path? Listen, salvation's secured, but we gotta keep walking the walk. We can't just be
28:12 outward Christians. We gotta be inward Christians that love god and are used by him. Verse 16 says,
28:26 all scripture is given by inspiration of god. How much of the scriptures? All. Every bit of
28:38 it. Even the ones we read so we can fall asleep at night. Given by inspiration of God. This word,
28:53 inspiration of God, in the original language is Theos means God. Nostos means breathe. Means the scripture is God
29:05 breathed. Right? We know that. All scripture is given by God, by inspiration of God, and it's spoken to us. See, because the the grammar matters a lot. It doesn't mean
29:16 that scripture is inspiring, although it is. It doesn't mean that God breathes it into you, although he does. What it really means, listen, scripture is exhaled, breathes
29:28 out from God. This is a statement about origin, not effect. He speaks it to us. He breathes it to us. And we see scripture after scripture after
29:40 scripture. I'm gonna give you a bunch here. 1st Peter chapter 1 verse 21 says, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke it as they were moved by the
29:52 Holy Spirit. God moved in these men. God spoke the word of God through men. You know, people wanna say, oh, the Bible, it can't be it can't be trusted. All these different people wrote it.
30:05 To me, that shows me that it is written by God because that many people can't agree on the same topic. I don't think 2 people can agree on 1 topic. God spoke it
30:17 to them. They wrote it down, so it's for us. Do you understand how timeless the word of god is? I mean, think about an old book, a really old book.
30:29 It's an old book. This book is old, but yet it's as fresh as the day it was written. You could read it today and be encouraged in the same way someone was in the 18 hundreds. That's the power of the word of god
30:41 because it's alive. It's living. It's god's word. And when he speaks it, it brings life. And that's what we have to understand. It came from God. And speaking of breathe, again, 3
30:53 verses I wanna give you. Genesis chapter 2 verse 7, and the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a
31:05 living being, the power of God's breath. Psalm 33 6, by the word of the Lord, the heavens were made and all the hosts of them by the breath of his mouth. He created everything by
31:17 breathing. And then finally, John 20 verse 22, and when he had said this, he breathed on them, speaking of the the apostles, the disciples, and said to them, receive the Holy
31:28 Spirit. You see the power in God's breath? Wouldn't that be something that we wake up every morning and say, god, breathe on me. God, breathe on me life.
31:41 Breathe on me the Holy Spirit. God, empower me to be used by you. This is what he does. This is what he wants to do. He wants to breathe on your life. He wants to
31:53 bring life into you so that you can be an example to others, that you can be example in the world that we live in. You remember Jon Brace and Jonghnies? Whenever whatever
32:05 his name was. Jon Brace. Jon Brace. Remember, they tried. They were able to make a stick wiggle. But when it came to bringing life out of dust, they couldn't do it. Only God
32:17 can do that. Only the breath of God can bring life. Religion can never do that. Only the gospel can bring life into the heart of a man and woman. Look at
32:28 the power of the word of god, 2nd 0.5 of verse 16. And is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction
32:41 in righteousness. Doctrine is the word. It's the scriptures. It's the truth. Right? That kinda sets the foundation. So the scriptures set the foundation. Reproof
32:53 shows you that you're wrong. And are you okay with being wrong sometimes? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Right? It's like, don't tell me I'm wrong. But that's what the word of God
33:05 does. It shows you areas of your life where you're not right. It's reproof. It's conviction. I have really always said it my
33:17 life, my entire walk with the lord. I love when the word of god convicts me. I love when the word of god convicts my life because
33:29 that shows me that I'm open to change in my life. Because if it didn't convict me, I would read truth and think I've got it all taken care of. Where this reproof shows me that I'm
33:41 wrong, this conviction comes and I wanna change. I wanna be different. This book points a finger at you and says that's not right, But it doesn't leave you there.
33:53 The word correction. The word occurs only here in the 2 in the New Testament. It means to straighten up again, to restore something to its original position.
34:05 So reproof knocks you down and correction stands you back up. See, god doesn't wanna just knock you down. God doesn't just wanna point out your problems. He
34:17 wants to reveal them to you so you deal with them and then stand you back up. That's the beauty of the word of God. And then finally, instruction and righteousness. It speaks of the entire,
34:30 discipline of an upbringing of a child. It's long term formation. It's instruction in righteousness. We constantly are learning to live right. We're never gonna arrive until god
34:42 takes us home. So we must enjoy the work. So we see that this is a complete work that the word of god does. It it's 2 that are negative, 2 that are positive. And god
34:53 always wants us to end on the positive. God, yes, he wants you to be convicted of your sin. He wants you to bring it to him, but he's there with open arms to forgive you. What are
35:05 you carrying around in your life today that god wants to get rid of? That god's been working on you. And he's been revealing to you that this is an area of your
35:17 life you need to give to me. But for whatever reason, whether it's fear, whether it's I don't know what it could be. Did did you don't wanna give it over to god? He wants to take it from you because
35:29 he knows what you will be without that thing in your life. Don't live in bondage. Live in the freedom that Christ died for for you.
35:47 When you read the word and it does bring conviction, keep reading because God will, every single time, not only convict you, but bring
35:59 comfort to you through that conviction. So don't just walk away from reading your word feeling convicted. Walk away feeling convicted, but also walk away him him encouraging you in that
36:11 moment. And then finally, verse 17, that the man of god may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
36:24 God has a plan for every single 1 of us in this room. And if we stay in the scriptures, he will equip each and every 1 of us for that very purpose. The
36:36 very same scriptures that we all read have different outcomes from every single 1 of us. We all have different giftings. We all have different talents. We all have different personalities, and God uses
36:48 all of them to reach a world out there that's lost, to reach a world out there that's living in darkness. He wants you to be complete. He wants you to be whole.
37:00 He wants you to be in perfect proper working order lacking nothing. Isn't it great when you when you know
37:12 everything's good in your life? When you you know, your relationship with your spouse is good, your relationship with your kids are good, your relationship with your friends is good, your family. But you just know your
37:23 relationship with god is it's just a it's a good season. Right? It's a good place to be. That's where god wants us all the time. And the world out there draws us away from that. And
37:34 it's our responsibility to stay in the scriptures so we get back to that place where, god, I wanna be in right relationship with you. And so he stands with open arms saying, I wanna equip you.
37:46 I wanna protect you, and I wanna give you hope. The words thoroughly equipped.
37:59 Thoroughly equipped. God wants to make sure you have everything you need. I liken it to, like a fire station. You know that in a fireShow more
