Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Lord, you are the God who sustains and brings comfort, yet so often I close my heart and choose my own way. In that distance, I feel the ache of emptiness. I come to you now, asking you to fill me again with your Spirit. Drive out the fears and anxieties that trouble my mind, and replace them with your peace that surpasses understanding. Teach me to welcome your presence in every moment, to listen for your voice, and to rest in your nearness. Give me courage to release control and trust you with the places in me that feel too broken. I ask this not because I am worthy, but because you are faithful. Your mercies are new every morning, and your love never fails. Amen.
