Today’s prayer
Written prayerFather I thank you for providing all the elements necessary for me to be victorious in this life. One of the most important elements is water baptism. Through this symbolic act I am identifying with the death and resurrection of Christ. As I am emersed in the water I am symbolicly entering into the death of Christ, my sins are buried under the water as Christ was buried after his death. The water, symbolic of his death, washes away the stain of my sins and cleanses my spirit. I am raised into newness of life empowered to walk with God. I am free from the corruption of sin and given new authority to live unto God and serve him in accordance to his plan and purpose for my life. Without the condemning power of sin to intimidate me in the spiritual realm I have a new holy boldness to strike down his strongholds and be effective for God’s kingdom in a more powerful way. Father, I am one with Jesus, through all eternity. May others see you as I share your love with them. May they come to believe in the truth of your reserrection and know that they do not have to perish through death if they only believe in the power of your death and reseruction. In Jesus name, amen.
