Today’s prayer
Written prayerDear Lord, You know the thoughts You think toward us—thoughts of peace, hope, and a future. Yet we, like Balaam, often chase our own desires, convinced we understand the path we should take. We confess our limited vision and the stubbornness that keeps us clinging to our own plans. Too often we are quick to act and slow to seek Your wisdom. Help us trust in the goodness of Your plans, even when they do not match our expectations. Teach us to submit our desires to Your greater wisdom, believing that You work all things together for our good. When we are tempted to lean on our own understanding, remind us that Your ways are higher and Your love far deeper than we can comprehend. Give us hearts that rest in Your promises and the assurance that You are guiding us toward an expected end—one shaped by peace, hope, and Your unfailing care. May we walk faithfully, trusting every step to Your perfect plan. Amen.
