Today’s prayer
Written prayerLord, It is hard to imagine the incredible experience that awaits me when I arrive at your home in heaven. When I look around at the beauty that I can see here on earth I am astonished. I just sit transfixed sometime at the magnificent night sky or breathtaking beauty of the dawn. You have beautified the empty skies with bright stars, soft clouds, rainbows, and moving planets. There is a whole solar system you keep in place by the power of your word. You overturned the rebellion in heaven and pierced the pride of one you formed and cast him out of heaven. Even Jesus had a Judas among his disciples. The serpent beguiled Eve with his subtle and deceptive lies. Purge my heart oh, Lord, and keep me dependant on you and humble all the days of my life. Don’t let me raise my voice against you for I am but finite and you are limitless. Keep me ever aware of your greatness and grateful that you are my protector and provider as well as my Lord and King. You are my very life Lord, and I give you all the praise, glory and honor. In jesus name, amen.
